New dad James wants to schedule a play date with Suri and his 9-month-old daughter Olivia: ‘I think she’d make a good older sister-type!’ Do you agree, HollyMoms?

Former Dawson’s Creek love interests James Van Der Beek and Katie Holmes obviously share a special bond, and Dawson ( I mean, James) hopes their daughters Olivia, 9 months, and Suri, 5, can form a special relationship as well! But is Suri a good role model? VOTE!

James admits that he doesn’t see much of his Creek co-stars anymore, but would be thrilled to get together with their kids!

“I’d love to plan a play date with Suri,” James tells Celebuzz at Pampers “First Father’s Day Cook-Out” to celebrate their year-long Little Miracle Missions campaign. “She is much older than Olivia, so Suri would probably get bored. But I think she’d make a good older sister-type if they hung out.”

We wonder if Michelle Williams‘ daughter Matilda Ledger can join in on the fun too!

James’ wife Kimberly Brook raves about her husband as a father saying, “Those two do everything together. They make pancakes, go shopping… He’s so hands on. No one — not even myself — can put a smile on Olivia’s face like James can.”

Well, maybe Suri can too!

If this picture doesn’t brighten your day, I don’t know what will! James Van Der Beek‘s wife Kimberly Brook tweeted an adorable photo of their 7-month-old red-headed tot Olivia at the Dawson’s Creek star, saying, “you’re not funny…but you have a cute baby.” Yup, you do.

The last time we talked to James, 34, and Kimberly, 28, exclusively, they told us she was scooting herself all around the house. Now, she’s upgraded from ‘commando’ to full-on crawling!

“Commando crawling just got an upgrade to ALL FOURS!!” Kimberly tweeted. “It’s not consistent yet… But we’re working on it! Watch out world, Olivia’s mobile!!”

James Van Der Beek And Kimberly Brook Want More Kids! Exclusive Video!

The couple tell HollyBaby.com that they are “hoping” for more little Van Der Beeks. Well, of course! Look at how gorgeous baby Olivia is!

HollyBaby.com caught up with new parents James Van Der Beek, 34, and Kimberly Brook, 28, and they are definitely still basking in baby bliss after the birth of their now 6-month-old daughter, Olivia. Actually, we wouldn’t be surprised if the couple were to add another little one to their brood sometime soon. “We’re hoping,” James told us at John Varvatos‘ 8th Annual Stuart House Benefit on March 13. “Yes!” adds Kimberly. So should they have another baby?

James and Kimberly also talked about Olivia and her love of music! “She loves classical music, she likes hip-hop,” James explains. “It’s between Kanye West and Ave Maria for her!”

And baby Olivia has learned how to make her way from place to place. “She’s scooting herself all around,” Kimberly says. “We’ll put her somewhere and she’ll just go to another room. She’ll roll there or scoot there.”

James says that being a dad is “fun every day,” even if does require lots and lots of sleepless nights. And what’s his favorite thing to with his daughter?

“Staring at her is probably number one.” Aww!

Happy Birthday, James Van Der Beek! The Dawson’s Creek alum has had a busy couple of months — appearing on a variety of TV shows including How I Met Your Mother and Mercy, getting married to his girlfriend Kimberly Brook, 28, and welcoming a new daughter, 6-month-old Olivia! Wow, what else? Ke$ha’s music video for “Blow!”

The teen hearthrob appeared in Ke$ha’s video to much of everyone’s surprise, but we enjoyed it!

Next, James will get ready for little Olivia to grow up, which he is not looking forward to. Why, you may ask? BOYS! “What I’m going to do is I’m going to play, right when she’s around 10 or 13, I’m going to play the scariest, most bad ass villian role ever,” James tells Hollybaby.com at the Global Green Pre-Oscar Party, ”like the scariest mofo that you have ever seen and I’ll target it right towards her age demographic so that when I open the door for the kid, he’ll be like, “Oh my GOD, its the Terminator!”

There are some overprotective dads out there — one being Dawson’s Creek alum James Van Der Beek. His daughter Olivia, with wife Kimberly Brook, might only be 5-months-old, but she is in for it come dating time. James, 33, tells us that he plans on scaring the crap out of all her future suitors!

“What I’m going to do is I’m going to play, right when she’s around 10 or 13, I’m going to play the scariest, most bad ass villian role ever,” James tells Hollybaby.com at the Global Green Pre-Oscar Party, ”like the scariest mofo that you have ever seen and I’ll target it right towards her age demographic so that when I open the door for the kid, he’ll be like, “Oh my GOD, its the Terminator!” Wow, sounds a bit over the top their James. Olivia might not like that come her pre-teen years.

But as Kimberly, 28, says, that time in Olivia’s life is “years away,” so for now the couple is focused on one thing — getting some shut-eye! “What’s sleep?” Kimberly says, while her husband implies, “She gets more than I do!” Ouch! Touchy subject?

“I get more than you do?!” Kimberly laughs. “You get less than I do! I actually said the opposite of what I meant,” James says, laughing. “I am up feeding her every two hours! I’m sure it’s me.” “Wow,” James confesses, “I blew it.”

This sounds like the typical new parent bickering to us! Don’t worry guys, you’ll be sleeping soundly soon.

The adorable duo were caught catching some shut-eye by James’ wife Kimberly Brook, 28, who couldn’t help but tweet out the precious photo. “Walked in on their nap…” she wrote. Good thing Kimberly, you wouldn’t want to miss a moment like this!

James couldn’t help but reply, “Lucky to be in bed with such a cute babe.” And we couldn’t agree more. Olivia is truly a beautiful little girl — look at that face!

During an afternoon walk, James Van Der Beek’s baby girl can’t resist a catnap! Are your kids the same way?

James Van Der Beek‘s wife Kimberly Brook tweeted these adorable photos of the couple’s 4-month-old daughter Olivia. How cute is she? The cutie patootie drifted off to dreamland during a stroll with mommy Kimberly, 28. Does a trip in the stroller knockout your kids, too?

James Van Der Beek is one funny daddy!

“Olivia happy on her walk!” Kimberly tweeted about the first photo, followed by, “And five min. later… Olivia sleeping on her walk.” Well it’s better than not sleeping, which James, 33, and Kimberly say Olivia is a pro at. “After 45 min of trying2 get Olivia2 sleep w/out me my husband walks out ‘I don’t know what else to do except pour myself a stronger drink.’” Kimberly tweeted back in December.

Oh no, Olivia — you’re supposed to sleep at night and play all day!

It’s nice to see that James Van Der Beek is comfortable poking fun at himself. The 33-year-old new father of daughter, Olivia, is the latest celebrity to shoot a video for comedy website Funny or Die. In this laugh-out-loud video for a website called Vandermemes, the actor shows off his vast emotional range, because of the popularity of a viral clip of him crying during his Dawson’s Creek days.

James has trouble getting his daughter to sleep

“If you’re under the age of 20, odds are good you know me best from a five-second clip of me crying circulating on the internet,” he says, adding that what he realized is that “the internet is really demanding more intense emotional close-ups of my face.”

The funny father goes on to flex his acting chops, ranging from happy super-smiley face, to an eye roll which he says is “to go with the latest Lindsey Lohan story.” He also manages a super-sad sobbing face as well as an ecstatic O-face “that’s for you ladies,” he adds.
