It has been eight years since Gwen Stefani graced the cover of Vogue in April 2004, but now the blonde bombshell is back for January 2013 — and she looks simply stunning, clad in Alexander Wang and a Yves Saint Laurent hat. The No Doubt frontwoman was shot by famed photog Annie Leibovitz for the rocker chic cover, and inside the mag the multi-tasking mom spills about balancing her workload and her household.

“I did my first solo record and went on tour while I was pregnant. I would want to throw up during certain songs. Certain outfits would make me sick. It was torture. I toured until I was four and a half months pregnant, showing. I came home and had Kingston, and when he was eight months old, I went back on the road. I nursed him for fourteen months, so I would literally do my hair and makeup, go back to the bus, nurse him, put him down, and walk out onstage. And I did that for 100 shows,” she tells the mag.

Aside from fronting a rock band, designing three clothing lines and being a mom to two young boys, Gwen is also a wife — and the star sounds like she couldn’t be happier after celebrating 10 years of marriage with Gavin Rossdale. “You feel proud. There are just so many rewards that come with it. You have to work at it. But, actually, it’s fun to get to this point. Because you learn so much about somebody. It’s like these wars that go on and then you kind of get through it to the other side, and it’s like, Wow. And obviously, you get stronger. And then having kids takes the whole relationship to another place. It is the ultimate collaboration. Both of us have such strong opinions about how it should be, and it’s really fun to do it together,” she said.

While the star works hard to balance her work and her family life, she couldn’t be happier to be reunited with her band. “I feel like we’ve always been in our own little lane,” she said about No Doubt. “Never fitting in. Never a nineties grunge band, never a pop girl band. And it’s the same now. I did the solo thing, but I felt like I was trying to play a character in a way, this Alice in Wonderland pretend version of myself. But this, being in No Doubt, is really who I am.”

After a triumphant return to the music scene, No Doubt is now facing claims that their music video for “Looking Hot” is racist, featuring Gwen Stefani dressed as a Native American, gets tied up by cowboys and cavorts a wolf.

Complaints from fans and the Native American community caused the video to be yanked from YouTube. Now, the band is apologizing for the mishap.

“Being hurtful to anyone is simply not who we are. As a multi-racial band our foundation is built upon both diversity and consideration for other cultures. Our intention with our new video was never to offend, hurt or trivialize Native American people, their culture or their history. Although we consulted with Native American friends and Native American studies experts at the University of California, we realize now that we have offended people.  This is of great concern to us and we are removing the video immediately. The music that inspired us when we started the band, and the community of friends, family, and fans that surrounds us was built upon respect, unity and inclusiveness. We sincerely apologize to the Native American community and anyone else offended by this video,” the band posted on their website.

No Doubt is keeping busy! The group has just released their first title track off their new album: Push and Shove. It’s the first album the group has released since 2001.

We love the upbeat tempo and the song! The album gets released on Sept. 25.

No Doubt took an 11-year hiatus from making music to pursue other ventures — most importantly, being parents. The members of the band: Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal, and Adrian Young, all talked about how making music and their new album Push and Shove is a lot different this time around.

The band appeared on Good Morning America on July 27, and discussed their upcoming record. With life evolving so much, the band said their content has also matured.

“There is a little bit of being overwhelmed on this record. It was really hard to try to find the time because of those two little bunny rabbits I had,” lead singer Gwen Stefani said, referring to her two kids Kingston and Zuma with husband Gavin Rosdale.

“I would do that all day and then try to show up and write songs during this little window of time and it took a real big of effort but it was totally worth it. The music is just heavenly,” she added.

Gwen isn’t the only parent — among all of the band members, they have eight kids!

Bandmate Tony Kanal also talked about juggling his roles as rockstar and father.

“I was telling my wife the other night we’ve been to New York so many times as a band but this is my favorite trip because my 18 month baby is in the other room,” he said. “And I get to do this and then see her afterwards and its just the best feeling.”

Being parents has also changed the way the band parties! ”Our backstage party room that use to have a DJ and a bar is now a romper room,” Tony added.

How sweet! We love how No Doubt can make great music while also being good parents and role models.

I’ve been waiting 11 years for this moment and I can hardly contain my excitement. While No Doubt teased fans when they reunited for an amazing tour back in 2009, it has actually been over a decade since we’ve heard any new music from the ’90s ska band, that is, until now! Gwen Stefani and the boys have unveiled their long-awaited single, “Settle Down,” the first track off their highly-anticipated album, Push and Shove.

The album is slated for a Sept. 25 release date, but you can get a taste of the first track right here. Boasting Gwen’s signature vocals and a reggae feel, their devoted fans won’t be disappointed. Personally, the sound reminds me a lot of what we heard on their last album, Rock Steady. While I think the band sounds best when Gwen pours her raw emotion into her lyrics, (a ‘la Return of Saturn), I’m hoping the new album is filled with much more than uppity reggae beats. However, as long as they are making sweet music together I’m certainly not complaining!

Adrian Young has added to the No Doubt kiddie pool! The band’s drummer and his wife Nina are the new parents to a baby girl, Magnolia Renée who joins big brother Mason, 9. Great news!

“Nina & I brought our 2nd child into this world Friday, June 10,” Adrian, 41, writes on the band’s Twitter page. “Her name is Magnolia Renée Young & we are beyond happy & excited!”

And Magnolia makes seven for the No Doubt crew, which includes Gwen Stefani‘s sons Zuma, 2½, and Kingston, 5, Tom Dumont‘s sons Koa Thomas, 3½ months, Rio Atticus, 3 this month, and Ace Joseph, 5 and Tony Kanal‘s daughter Coco Reese Lakshmi, 4 months.

Congrats to Adrian and Nina!
