Joely Richardson comes from an amazing family actors, including her mother Vanessa Redgrave and her late sister Natasha Richardson. She is well-known for her role as Julia on Nip/Tuck and Queen Catherine Parr on Showtime’s The Tudors. Now, Joely is leaving her career behind and focusing on being there for her daughter Daisy, 15, who she had with her ex-husband Tim Bevan. 

On Jan. 7, Joely stunned many when she announced she would be leaving Nip/Tuck to take care of Daisy — who has a rare medical condition that affects the circulation in her veins. “What the future holds, nobody can say. It’s all up in the air. And I don’t know if I will ever be here (in Hollywood) again, Joely says. “I love my work. But I had to be in two places at once and I thought, ‘If it were all over tomorrow, what would I regret?’ It would be not being there for her. It had to be done but it was scary.” We pray for Joely and Daisy and hope that they can forget about their struggles and just enjoy being with each other today.

Tis’ the season — yet another Hollywood couple has decided to call it quits!

Dylan Walsh, star of the television drama Nip/Tuck and films such as Secretariat and The Stepfather, has filed for divorce from wife Joanna Going. People reports, “In court papers, Walsh, 47, who plays Dr. Sean McNamara on the FX series, cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s daughter Stella, 7.”

Dylan was previously married to actress Melora Walters, known for her role in numerous Paul Thomas Anderson films such as Boogie Nights and Magnolia, for seven years.

Under the terms of their agreement, Dylan will be paying spousal support to Joanna.

A rep for Alex O’Laughlin confirms to HollywoodLife.com that the actor has landed the plum part of Detective Steve McGarrett when the iconic 70’s TV show gets a modern-day update on CBS this year.

Yippee! We’re stoked to see Alex back in action after his medical drama, Three Rivers, flat-lined in November. Until last week he and Nip/Tuck actor Julian McMahon, 42, were neck and neck for the role.

We’re confident that the Aussie hunk can handle his Hawaii 5-0 role, especially because we know he’s adept at playing super-sleuths. Who can forget his turn as vampire private eye Mick St. John in the short-lived (but utterly engaging) CBS drama Moonlight?

Alex will be joined on the North Shore when filming begins on location in Hawaii, is Lost‘s Daniel Dae Kim, 43, in the role of state police officer Chin Ho Kelly and Taryn Manning, 31, as Det. McGarrett’s sister, Mary Ann McGarrett.

And if you can’t wait for the Hawaii pilot to be released, well then, you’ll just have to get your fix when Alex stars as Jennifer Lopez’s love interest in The Back-Up Plan, which hits theaters April 23.
