Tim Tebow will now play for the New York Jets!

UPDATE: After word spread rapidly Wednesday that the New York Jets had acquired quarterback Tim Tebow from Denver for draft picks, the teams have encountered a hang-up in the language in Tebow’s contract that could nullify the trade, a Broncos source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Tim’s team, the Denver Broncos, traded their quarterback after signing Peyton Manning to a 5-year, $96 million deal.

ESPN’s SportsCenter tweeted that the trade is a done deal. “Breaking News: @TimTebow has been traded to @nyjets.”

Jenn tells George Stephanopoulos that she may have passed by Brett in stadium tunnels — but she’s never spoken to him!

The NFL says Jenn Sterger never did anything wrong in the Brett Favre texting and sexting scandal, but she has suffered the consequences as her career has stalled. And now she reveals that she never even met the gray-haired quarterback who wanted to be introduced to her!

“I don’t know him, we have never met, there has never been an introduction” she tells George Stephanopoulos on ABC. “We have never been closer than this [gesturing to George, who was seated across from her] — and that’s just been in passing in the tunnel.”

Jenn, then a game-day hostess for the NFL’s New York Jets, compares Brett to a guy at a bar “who wouldn’t get the hint.”

Brett, 41, was accused of sending suggestive texts as well as photos of his penis to Jenn back in 2008 while he was a member of the Jets. Jenn claims to have no idea how he obtained her number, though she does admit that on member of the Jets organization approached her at one time regarding Brett.

“I was approached one day at the beginning of the preseason games, by a man wearing a Jets badge, employee badge, who asked me, ‘How would you feel if Brett Favre asked for your phone number? What would you say?’ And I just looked at him, my usual smartass self. And I said, ‘I’d say I like my job an awful lot. And I’ve been told I look remarkably like his wife.’ “

Football season may be over and Brett Favre may have officially retired, but his texting and sexting scandal lives on, this time as former New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger sits down with George Stephanopoulos to discuss what it was like being at the center of a media firestorm. Jenn said of reports she had hoped to capitalize off Brett’s lewd texts and images simply said: “I’m not a gold-digger. The only way I wanted to make my money this whole time was to just have a job.”

The details of the footballers controversial relationship, reportedly with a high school student, have come out — and it is being reported the Jets player had no problem with his new gal’s age.

The text message is quickly becoming the achilles heel for football players as yet another questionable relationship, this time reportedly between New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and a 17-year-old high school student (referred to as E.K. in the article), has come to light via old texts and camera phone shots. Deadspin reports, “E.K. told me that Sanchez sidled up to her, and the two talked for a while. She gave him her BlackBerry number and flirted a bit. ‘You know I’m 17, right?’ she remembers saying. Sanchez kept his cool. ‘Well, we can still talk, but I can’t see you until you’re 18,’ he said. ‘Actually,’ E.K. replied, ’17 is legal in New York.’”

Mark soon began to text the girl, leading her to have a major freak out on her Twitter. “MARK F***ING SANCHEZ JUST TEXTED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

E.K. then told the site that Mark got her and a friend tickets to the Bills-Jets regular-season and the pair made a date for later that week. When asked if she hooked up with Mark she said, “Yeah. We went back to his place in Jersey after dinner. He lives on a golf course. There was a big storm.”

After this E.K. said of their relationship, “He would send me a text at 2 a.m. on a Wednesday asking if I was out that night, but I’d be, like, I have school tomorrow” — where she is most likely a senior.

As proof of the pair’s rendezvous, E.K. sent photos of Mark’s bedroom and the number from which he texted her. Then, however, she got nervous and threatened to sue the site if her story ran. Whoopsies! It seems like E.K. really wanted to stay close with mark and felt that leaking details of her relationship with him would hurt her chances.

The high schooler wrote, “Well I’m still ‘close’ w mark and he knows about you so Jets pr was like here how’s you handle it, I don’t want to betray him but I don’t want to let him play me like this, if this comes out like I technically sold this then I can risk any jobs or college in the future. “

And now we wait and see if there will be more reports to come.

Mark Sanchez is not having a good 2011. After failing to make the Super Bowl following a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the quarterback is now finding himself in an incredibly awkward position with news that he allegedly romanced a 17-year-old girl.

Deadspin — the site that broke the news of Brett Favre‘s alleged cell-phone photos sent to sideline reporter Jenn Sterger — claims it’s got the story … and the proof. ”So we’ve been working on a story the last couple weeks about Mark Sanchez’s romancing of a 17-year-old girl,” reports Deadspin. “She reached out to us first and agreed to cooperate.” Now she is not so sure it seems — and has hired a lawyer!

The site is still planning to run photos on Feb. 8 that show Mark’s bedroom, taken by the girl. The photos were allegedly taken on the girl’s Blackberry after she spent the night with Mark a few weeks ago. The Jets have yet to issue a statement on the situation.

As for the letter sent to the site, Deadspin responds to the legal complaints by acknowledging that they will not reveal the identity of the girl as she is underage.

The major issue here is age of consent. In New York, where this most likely happened, it is perfectly fine for 24-year-old Mark to have sexual relations, if there were in fact any, with a 17-year-old. In California, it is not.

Mark has been somewhat of a Lothario since he became the Jets quarterback, romancing women including model Hilary Rhoda and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

The photos will be released Feb. 8 — and there’s clearly much more to come on this story, yet another alleged instance of quarterbacks behaving badly.

The disgraced footballer’s attempts to lure two of the team’s massage therapists to his room for a threesome has resulted in a major lawsuit against the organization!

Brett Favre‘s football career may be over, for the third time, but he is finding himself back in the news again for his alleged sexual-harassment against a slew of women involved with the New York Jets organization. The New York Post reports, “The Jets were hit with an explosive sexual-harassment lawsuit yesterday by two women who claim they were fired after one of them complained about sleazy text messages from former quarterback Brett Favre.”

The two women, Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole, claim in their suit that Christina was let go after she came forward with allegations Brett had solicited her for a threesome and Shannon was soon let go as Christina got her the job with the team.

Christina approached the organization after Brett began coming onto her in the summer of 2008 according to the suit. In one instance, Brett texted another team masseuse asking her and Christina for a threesome. “Brett here, you and crissy want to get together im all alone.” He followed this up a short while later with, “Kinda lonely tonight I guess I have bad intentions.”

Christina’s husband Joseph Scavo approached Brett after he learned of the text and claims Brett, “responded in an inappropriate manner and refused to apologize.”

Following this, Christina and Shannon were not asked back to work with the Jets. Their suit seeks an unspecified amount from both the Jets and Brett.

This all comes on the heels of Brett’s alleged lewd pictures, voicemails and texts to Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger. Jenn’s lawyer Joseph Conway said of the suit brought forward by Christina and Shannon, “Clearly they’re just as dissatisfied with the NFL’s decision as we are.”
