BFF’s Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato rang in 2012 together, where the stylish young stars both opted for fun & flirty minis — and both dresses were great NYE picks! Both Selena and Demi performed on MTV’s New Year’s Eve special, where Selena opted for a beige and gold frock, showing off the metallic trend, in her seriously short dress. While the star went flirty in her feminine frock, Demi opted for sexy glamour showing off lace in her long-sleeved Chagoury Couture mini — but those weren’t the only looks we saw on the stars!

Both Demi and Selena pulled a frock swap for their performance, taking their sexy looks to a whole new level on stage. Demi looked like a divine diva in a corset top and her flowing red waves, while Selena sparkled in a seriously plunging gown and dramatic eye makeup. Where were you when the clock struck 2012? Even though you might not have been celebrating with celebs, HollywoodLife.com can tell you exactly what it was like to party in NYC on New Year’s Eve!

First off we hit up Beauty & Essex, one of the most swanky and chic restaurants in NYC. If you haven’t eaten here you need to get a reservation now! Kim Zolciak from The Real Housewives of Atlanta hosted the CîROC party and DJ Neil and DJ Dimitry Mak spun the tracks. The party was flowing with champagne and of course CîROC! Not to mention the Lobster Mac & Cheese on the menu was to die for — yum!

Next was the party at LAVO and you know it’s a celeb hotspot. The restaurant was serving dinner but downstairs the club was off the charts! Door opened at 9pm and music went from Jeffrey Tonnesen & Sub Zero — it was packed!

• 1 1/2 oz Highland Park 12 yr Scotch

Directions: Snifter glass garnished with a pear slice

Caprese Diamante:

• 1 1/2 oz Elmer T Lee
• 1 oz honey
• Basil
• Blood Orange
• Black Pepper

Sugar & Spice + Everything Nice:

• Apple & Cinnamon infused Evan Williams Bourbon
• Touch of Vermouth
• Martini Glass
• Apple Garnish

The Midnight Kiss:

• 1.5 oz. Hpnotiq Harmonie
• .5 oz. Premium Gin
• .5 oz. Lemon Juice
• Champagne Floater

A Star-Studded New Years:

• 1.5 oz. SKYY Vodka
• .5 oz. X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
• .25 oz. simple syrup
• Half a lemon squeeze
• Champagne

Directions: Muddle a star fruit in shaker. Shake all ingredients then strain it into a champagne glass. Top with champagne

Amalta Mora:

Found at NYC’s Lavo

• 3 Blackberries Muddled
• 2 oz Bourbon
• 2 dashes Old Fashioned Bitters
• 1.5oz Sour mix
• .5oz simple syrup

Directions: Combine in a shaker tin with ice and shake hard, strain over fresh ice

Campanile Cider:

• 1.5 oz Frangelico
• 1 oz. Clove Infused Bacardi Red Peach Rum
• .5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
• 1 oz Apple Juice
• 2 dashes Bar Code Baked Apple Bitters
• Shake and strain
• Cinnamon Sugar Rimmed Martini glass

Future Freeze:

• 1 1/2 oz SVEDKA Vodka
• 1oz Blue Curacao
• 1/2oz fresh lemon juice
• 4oz Sprite

Directions: Mix all ingredients in shaker. Shake and strain into a martini glass.

Nice Bot:

• 1 1/2 oz SVEDKA Vodka
• 3oz Apple Cider (or apple juice)
• 2 dashes of cinnamon

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a shaker. Shake and strain into a martini glass.

New Years Squeeze:

• 1.5 oz SVEDKA Vodka
• 3oz Champagne (or sparkling wine)
• Splash Grenadine
• Splash Cranberry Juice

Directions: Mix all ingredients except Champagne in shaker with ice. Shake and strain into champagne glass and top with Champagne.

Naughty Bot:

• 1/2oz SVEDKA Vodka
• 1/2oz Peppermint Schnapps
• Splash Melon Liqueur

Directions: Mix all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a shot glass.

Party Bot:

• 1oz SVEDKA Vodka or Citron
• 1/2 oz Chambord Raspberry
• 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
• Club Soda

Directions: Mix all ingredients except the club soda. Shake and strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with club soda.

The Classy Geisha:

• 1 oz. TY KU Soju
• 2 oz. Freixenet Cordon Negro Extra Dry
• 1 oz. Pomegranate juice
• Splash of Agave nectar

Directions: Shake together and serve chilled in a champagne flute.

The Resolution:

• 6 parts Sauza® Silver Tequila (or Sauza® Blue Silver Tequila)
• 1 part Pomegranate Juice
• 1 part Simple syrup
• Dash of Peychaud’s Bitters
• 16 parts Champagne
• Silver Candy Beads

Directions: Build first 4 ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and strain into a champagne glass. Top with Champagne and candy garnish. Serve at midnight.

Pink Slipper:

• Ingredients:
• 1 part Courvoisier® Rosé
• 1 part Prosecco
• Lemon twist garnish

Directions: Combine Courvoisier Rosé and Prosecco in champagne flute. Garnish with lemon twist and serve.

Yes, it’s a celebrity fest, watching New Year’s Eve will keep your head spinning, as one A-lister after another appears in hilarious or moving scene after scene.

It’s New Year’s Eve day in New York City and the countdown to the ball dropping has literally begun as Hilary Swank, who’s in charge of pulling off the celebration in Times Square, is attempting to ensure a trouble-free ball drop.  Of course, that’s not to be.

Then, Katherine Heigl is a caterer about to attempt to pull off the biggest, fanciest catering gig of her life with assistant Sofia Vergara, when in walks the star attraction of the evening – Jon Bon Jovi – and wow! Sparks and slaps fly!

Lea Michele gets stuck for hours with Ashton Kutcher…and Demi Moore does not want to see what happens.

Sarah Jessica Parker‘s a single mom;  Jessica Biel‘s about to pop out a baby; Josh Duhamel‘s a swinging bachelor — or is he?  And then there’s Halle Berry as the most gorgeous nurse you can ever imagine in those nasty blue fatigues.

But it’s adorable messenger boy Zac Efron and an unrecognizably frumpy Michelle Pfeiffer who steal the show.

There’s the most unlikely, yet engaging, couple in this film that will make you start circling New Year’s Eve in your calendar and making a plan to get to Times Square — no matter where you live.

Jessica Biel is back in the spotlight, promoting her latest flick New Year’s Eve — and she’s still a pro when it comes to rocking the red carpet! While in NYC, the star turned up on the Late Show With David Letterman, where she donned a winter white Victoria Beckham dress. Given Jess’ amazing figure, this is definitely my favorite silhouette on the star. She looked so sexy and high-fashion!

Personally, I wasn’t fond of the sandals. Although they were a bit too busy and took away from the overall look, the rest of Jess’ get-up was perfect.

For the NY premiere, Jess swapped her white sheath for an embellished, long-sleeved Valentino gown with a drop waist. While so much shimmering fabric could be overwhelming on some stars, Jess pulls off this look perfectly! She completed the get-up with Christian Louboutin sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
