Joely Richardson comes from an amazing family actors, including her mother Vanessa Redgrave and her late sister Natasha Richardson. She is well-known for her role as Julia on Nip/Tuck and Queen Catherine Parr on Showtime’s The Tudors. Now, Joely is leaving her career behind and focusing on being there for her daughter Daisy, 15, who she had with her ex-husband Tim Bevan. 

On Jan. 7, Joely stunned many when she announced she would be leaving Nip/Tuck to take care of Daisy — who has a rare medical condition that affects the circulation in her veins. “What the future holds, nobody can say. It’s all up in the air. And I don’t know if I will ever be here (in Hollywood) again, Joely says. “I love my work. But I had to be in two places at once and I thought, ‘If it were all over tomorrow, what would I regret?’ It would be not being there for her. It had to be done but it was scary.” We pray for Joely and Daisy and hope that they can forget about their struggles and just enjoy being with each other today.

We couldn’t help but notice the similarity between that cute scene in ‘Love Actually’ where widower Liam Neeson and supermodel Claudia Schiffer end up together … and a recent shot of Liam and another European supermodel.

We’re not saying there’s anything afoot, but remember how Liam’s character in Love, Actually finally found his smile (and righted his emotional ship) after the death of his wife earlier in the film? Well, at a New York Rangers game in NYC Friday night, April 9, Liam, who took his sons Michael, 15, and Daniel, 14, to the rink, looked happy, relaxed, and downright impish next to Swedish supermodel Jennifer Ohlsson.

Liam’s wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died on March, 18, 2009 of injuries suffered in a skiing accident.

Could Liam finally be over his horrific and sudden loss — and ready to move on? Surely the time has, actually, come.

Joely Richardson has grieved each and every single day since her big sis, Natasha, died in a freak skiing accident on March 18 in Quebec. It appears the British actress has finally come to terms with her grief, however, and has spoken out for the first time about her feelings of loss.

“You worry about your children and your elders, but I never imagined such a thing as this,” Joely said in an interview with the UK’s Tatler magazine. “A strange autopilot kicks in; your psyche puts your work day into a different compartment from your private life.”

Joely didn’t allow herself much time to mourn, returning to work almost immediately after the incident. Filming BBC’s The Day of the Triffids almost allowed Joely to put her feelings of grief on hold, she says, aside from one scene in particular: “My first shot back on set was reacting to someone dying.”

We admire Joely’s bravery, her acting skills AND her love of family. The actress confides that she’s now heading to New York with her daughter for an extended two-month visit, so that she can be closer to Natasha’s two boys.
