Adam Lanza, the 20-year-old gunman behind the tragic Dec. 14 shooting in Newtown, Conn., had sketched gruesome drawings of children being murdered — and his mom Nancy Lanza found the disturbing images in his room two weeks before the shooting, according to emails sent by Nancy to a friend.

In an email exchange between Nancy and a friend of her Marvin LaFontaine, obtained by the New York Daily News, the single mother revealed her fears that her youngest son Adam had inherited a genetic disorder — a form of autism called Asperger’s syndrome.

She had also discovered disturbing images in her son’s room, according to the emails, and they were pictures that Adam himself had apparently drawn, Marvin told the New York Daily News.

“One (drawing) had a woman clutching a religious item, like rosary beads, and holding a child, and she was getting all shot up in the back with blood flying everywhere,” Marvin said. “Nancy was disturbed, really disturbed, but didn’t confront him. She wanted to think it over.”

Just two weeks later, Adam embarked on a deadly shooting rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School, which killed 20 children and six adults. He also shot and killed his own mother in her bed.

Marvin also said that Adam had been the target of relentless bullying, which may have led to his violent shooting rampage on Dec. 14.

“Nancy told me he was being picked on at school. That they were just torturing him,” Marvin said. “Adam was an easy target. He was quiet and he would never fight back. “I think Adam felt betrayed by the school and this was his act of revenge.”

More than a week after Adam Lanza, 20, shot and killed 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School, his brother, Ryan Lanza, is publicly mourning the loss of  Adam and his mother Nancy Lanza on Facebook.

“I am a victim,” Ryan, 24, told The New York Post yesterday in a Facebook chat. “I loss [sic] my mom and brother.”

Adam shot his mother in the head while she was laying in bed before killing 20 children and 6 adults at the Newtown school. Adam then killed himself.

In a Facebook photo tribute, Ryan shared smiling images of his brother, Adam, and mother, Nancy, with personal messages attached.

“R.I.P.,” Ryan wrote above Adam’s photo, followed by, “I will miss you bro. I will always love you as long as I live.”

Above his mother’s photo, Ryan wrote, “I miss you mom. I love you so much. You will be always in my heart.”

Ryan was wrongly identified as the shooter at Sandy Hook Elementary because his brother Adam was carrying his identification during his killing spree.

On Facebook, one user wrote that Adam Lanza deserved to “rot in hell” and was the “scum of the earth.”

Ryan sharply responded back saying, “I am so tired of people blaming me for something my brother did. I love Adam, his [sic] my brother. But you have no right to call my brother names when he isn’t here no more. Just let my brother rest in peace. Please. Respect that. [You are] calling my brother a monster when [you] don’t even know him.”

Adam Lanza, 20, blasted his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School at around 9:30AM on Dec. 14, where he killed 20 children and six adults. Gov. Dannel Malloy said Adam shot himself as first responders entered the building, but had a lot of ammo on him when his body was found. They believe he would have continued to shoot and kill whoever crossed his path. How horrific.

“We surmise that it was during the second classroom episode that he heard responders coming and apparently at that, decided to take his own life,” Malloy said to ABC This Week.

Law enforcement officials are still investigating the case and have found no clear motive yet.

What they find odd is the fact that Adam’s mother, Nancy Lanza, who was also killed on Dec. 15, had large quantity of machine guns in the home she shared with Adam.

NANCY LANZA TAUGHT HER SON TO SHOOT GUNS

Various reports suggest that Nancy was a “survivalist” and was preparing for the end of the world due to the economic downturn and was stockpiling on food, water, and other items. She allegedly taught Adam how to shoot a gun, perhaps in preparation for the event.

Adam shot his mother in the face that day, several times, while she laid in bed, before stealing her three guns, and heading to the school. It appears as though Nancy may have been asleep when she was shot dead.

VICTIMS WERE SHOT MORE THAN ONCE

All the victims were shot with a rifle, some of them up close, and all were allegedly shot more than once, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. H. Wayne Carver said.

Adam died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Adam Lanza killed his mother Nancy Lanza, 52, in the home they share, stole her guns, and then drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School at approximately 9:30 AM, where he killed 26 people.

Nancy Loves Her Guns

Nancy, an avid gun collecter, took her son Adam to a shooting range and taught him how to fire a gun before he murdered 26 innocent people.

“[Nancy] said she would often go target shooting with her kids,” Dan Holmes, owner of the lanscaping firm Holmes Fine Gardens, told Reuters.

In fact, she once showed him a “high-end rifle” that she had purchased. “She was very proud of it,” he told the New York Daily News. “She loved her guns.”

Adam ended up killing his mother on Dec. 14 with one of her own guns. He then stole her keys, grabbed her guns – including a Glock and a Sig Sauer, both pistols, and a .223 caliber rifle — and headed to Sandy Hook Elementary School, where he killed 20 children and himself.

Adam Lanza’s Past Revealed

Adam, 20, was allegedly a mild-mannered student in high school, often making the honor roll. Adam’s mom, whom he lived with, loved playing dice games and decorating her upscale home for the holidays with him.

A student from Adam’s high school said he was very quiet, thin and carried a black briefcase to class, which stuck out when all the other kids carried backpacks.

Adam allegedly dressed more formally than other students, wearing khaki pants, button-down shirts and at times, a pocket protector. Many remembered Adam as highly intelligent.

People From Adam’s Life Speak Out

“Everyone just assumed he was a smart kid and that’s why he didn’t like talking to people all the time,” Peter Lalli, 20, a fellow high school graduate of Adam’s, told the New York Daily News. “He hung out with the smart crowd.”

Another person used Twitter to share memories of his former classmate. Adam was “a weird kid since we were five years old,” Tim Dalton wrote on Twitter and added, “As horrible as this was, I can’t say I am surprised…. Burn in hell, Adam.”

While some family member say Adam has “major issues,” his aunt, Marsha Lanza, said her nephew was raised by kind, nurturing parents who would not have hesitated to seek mental help for him if he needed it.

“[My son] said [Adam] was very thin, very remote and was one of the goths,” Catherine Urso said, whose son attended college with Adam.

After Adam Lanza was identified as the shooter responsible for the horrific shooting massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT on Dec. 14, reports presumed that his mother, Nancy Lanza had been shot and killed in her classroom. However, CNN reports that Nancy was, in fact, found dead in Adam’s residence in Newtown and she wasn’t even a staff member at the school. 

CNN’s Susan Candiotti reported that investigators confirmed to her that Nancy was found at the residence. “Earlier we had information that she was found in the classroom. However, now I’m being told that in fact her body was found at the suspect’s residence,” Susan reported. “We don’t know whether she also lived there. We also don’t know the timeline – when was she killed? Was she killed before the shooting began at the school? These are the things that authorities are still trying to piece together.”

Many questions still remain in this tragic situation, as investigators are still working to process the scene.

President Obama’s Address To A Saddened Country

Earlier in the day, President Barack Obama addressed a shaken and frightened nation, speaking not as a politician, but as a fellow parent. Overcome with his own grief, he had to take a moment to regain his composure and wipe tears from his eyes. “Tonight Michelle and I will do what I know every parent in America will do, we will hug our children a little tighter. And we will tell them that we love them,” he said.
