Katherine’s adorable little girl stole the show when she ran onstage in the middle to give her mom a big hug in the middle of an interview!

Former Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl‘s adopted daughter Naleigh was so shy when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live for her talk show debut, but she was a too-cute burst of energy on the Jan. 23 episode of The View! The 3-year-old was so excited to see her mom, she ran right onto the stage.

Katherine was on the show to promote her new movie One For The Money, when her little girl started waving to the 33-year-old from the audience.

“You know, forget the interview,” Barbara Walters exclaimed. “She has completely stolen the show!”

Katherine agreed. “Yes, she is completely upstaging me!”

The actress went on to explain why she decided to become a working mother. “I just ultimately wanted to be a mother,” she revealed. “I love children. I still want more children, and I feel like I am the best mother I can be because I have this passion, because I have this job I love so much. I am a better mother for having something in my life and not just my children.”

The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star’s adorable three-year-old was put in the spotlight, but she was too shy to say anything!

On the Jan. 17 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, actress Katherine Heigl bragged that her adorable adopted daughter Naleigh was quite the entertainer. “She’s very hammy,” Katherine gushed. “She likes applause.” But when her hubby Josh Kelley brought Naleigh onstage, the toddler stayed mum!

Despite requests to wave or say hello to Jimmy, Naleigh was obviously not enjoying her time in the limelight.

“She loves a crowed that loves her,” Katherine explained. “She’ll be shy right now, but she loves applause.”

Unfortunately, the cheering crowd still didn’t get a reaction from the little one. TOO cute!

Katherine recently dished to HollyBaby.com about her adorable daughter and their big Halloween plans!

Hollybaby.com caught up with Katherine Heigl at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Event on Oct. 17 and got exclusive details about Halloween with her adopted daughter, Naleigh.

The star isn’t sure what she’ll wear but she know what her daughter is going as! “For me no, but my daughter… Tinkerbell!” she tells HollyBaby exclusively

Katherine and her husband Josh Kelley adopted Naleigh from South Korea, and she says her daughter is doing “wonderful.” And news of another baby for the couple might be happening soon…

Will they have more children or adopt more children? “I hope so!” Katherine said to a group of reporters. “I hope so to both!”

She doesn’t know where they would adopt from, but added: “We are big fans of South Korea. My sister is Korean.”

The Life As We Know It Star has had a year full of changes! With a new baby and a smoking habit kicked to the curb, Katherine has a lot to celebrate!

In September 2009, Katherine Heigl and her musician husband Josh Kelly adopted Naleigh, 23 months, from Korea and have embraced parenthood ever since. We can’t believe it has already been over a year since Katherine brought home her baby girl and left behind her beloved role of Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy. Now, the actress is working on her film career and has already starred in two romantic comedies–Killers with Ashton Kutcher and Life As We Know It with Josh Duhamel… not bad!

Katherine says being a mother has changed her in a personal way. “You have this empathy suddenly — this compassion for a mother going through anything complicated or difficult with a child,” she says. “It’s something that I understand now — that unbelievable drive and instinct to protect.”

Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley‘s baby girl is growing up so fast! Naleigh, 2, headed out to hit the books with Mom yesterday (Oct. 27), at a public library in Los Feliz, CA. The tiny tot was sporting not only the most adorable leopard-print dress, but the cutest bright-eyed smile!

Katherine says Naleigh is so her father’s daughter!

Katherine, 31, and Josh, 30, adopted Naleigh in September 2009 from Korea and have easily adjusted to parenthood by working together as a team. “I’m not like, ‘Did you get the sippy cup? Did you get the diapers? Did you get the Cheerios?’ says Katherine. “I can’t imagine not having a total equal partner in this.”

Katherine and Josh make a great pair, but the mommy-daughter duo makes us smile as wide as Naleigh!

Calling herself “a big baby,” Katherine Heigl made it pretty clear that, while she definitely wants to have more kids as soon as possible, she doesn’t want to be pregnant to have them. Katherine, 31, and her husband Josh Kelley, 30, adopted their daughter Naleigh, 22 months, from South Korea last year, and now Katherine wants to make Naleigh a big sister as soon as her adoption is legal. “I can’t wait to have another baby,” she says, but add that it’s “terrible idea for me to get pregnant.”

So is it the body changes, the morning sickness or something else that has Katherine gun-shy? She admits that her plan to adopt baby number 2 is “all just for selfish reasons.”

“I have a lot of physical issues as is. I think it is a terrible idea for me to get pregnant,” she told Life As We Know It co-star Josh Duhamel, 37, (and a room full of journalists) while publicizing their new romantic comedy. “I would be the biggest, whiny, brat in the universe, although my husband has promised to put up with it.”

Josh — who admitted that he and wife Fergie, 35, are thinking about starting their own family (“My wife has a plan,” he said, “I’m just going to show up when she is ready.”) — was curious about the fact that, even though Katherine and Josh have had little Naleigh for over a year, the adoption isn’t actually official yet, partly because it’s “impossible to get a court date.”

Katherine’s daughter, Naleigh, is definitely a “daddy’s girl.”

“It’s all formalities,” she said. “You have to go before a judge in the state of the adoption and finalize it and then we all have our picture taken and sign a piece of paper and then we can start the process of adopting another child.”
