Miley Cyrus was spotted in Miami May 17 wearing cute blue nail polish. The look is a summery alternative and looks best on shorter nails. If you’re more into pinks or neutrals, try the hue on your toes!

To paint your digits a similar shade, try Revlon Nail Enamel in Blue Lagoon, which is a similar shade. With summer around the corner, now’s the time to try different shades!

Dakota Fanning paired her feminine Louis Vuitton lavender organza gown with bold gunmetal metallic nail polish at the 2012 Met Ball on May 7. While many ladies would have gone with a safe, neural shade to offset the ornate tulle and organza gown (that took 250 hours to create!), the daring 18-year-old actress chose to go with a more dramatic hue — and we love it!

Kristen Stewart, Lea Michele, Taylor Swift, Diana Agron and Dakota Fanning came out in amazing beauty looks at the Met Ball on May 2 in NYC, down to their nude nails! We spoke with Lea‘s manicurist Alicia Torello to find out exactly what the Glee star wore — so you can, too!

Along with beautiful makeup and hair, neutral-toned nails helped make the gorgeous red carpet looks of Kristen, Lea, Taylor and Dakota complete!

Alicia tells Hollywoodlife.com exclusively that Lea wore Essie’s ‘au natural’ on her hands because she wanted a nice beige neutral color: “This color goes really well with her skin tone.”

Alicia says neutral nails were the trending color all across the ball. “There were a lot of brighter dresses and ornate details on the dresses so they kept the nails more mellow with a soft neutral,” she notes.

Even Lea’s Glee BFF Diana also went for this natural nail look — you definitely can’t go wrong with a this nail color!

But pedicures are a completely different ball-game. For Lea’s toes, Alicia gave her Chanel’s ‘Vamp. – ”It was different. The deeper red was a cool contrast to her bright red dress.”
