Christina Milian has been absolutely loving her new hair! The singer looked great on the red carpet of the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas on June 16 with her bright red hair on display in glamorous curls. The hair is a departure from her long brown hair that used to be her signature look, but we’re loving how Christina is embracing her new color!

Christina Milian At Miss USA — Continues To Wow With New Hair

Christina looked killer in a curve hugging dress with a plunging neckline, but we couldn’t take our eyes off her hair! The singer, who dyed her hair in May, is still rocking her new hair color.  While we’ve only seen Christina rock her new color with super straight locks, last night she wore it in glamorous curls with a super deep side part. It also looks like Christina may have cut bangs to jump aboard the latest Hollywood beauty trend!

Christina loved showing off her hair last night. She posed and posted multiple pictures on Instagram of her at the event. One picture featured Real Housewives star Nene Leakes. Christina captioned the picture “All black everything with beautiful @NeneLeakes… #tallsandsmalls #MissUSA”. Nene’s hair was platinum blonde, so both ladies were rocking bold hair colors!

Poor Miss Utah Marissa Powell. She just couldn’t seem to even grasp the meaning of her final question during the Miss USA competition. No wonder she couldn’t articulate any sort of clear response.

Miss Utah Stumbles On Final Question — Marissa Powell’s Miss USA Flop

A question about women’s wages in America left Marissa desperately searching for words. It was painful to behold — we certainly feel for Marissa and certainly now know why she wasn’t the star of her debating team at college.

Marissa, a 21-year-old Salt Lake City native, wore a sequin-lined dress on June 16. She was asked an interesting and pretty thought provoking question by judge NeNe Leakes:

“A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does it say about society?”

Marissa’s less than comprehensible response ….

“I think we can relate this back to education, and how we are continuing to try to strive … to … figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem right now. I think, especially the men are … um … seen as the leaders of this, and so we need to see how to … create education better. So that we can solve this problem. Thank you.”

On a positive note, Marissa Powell still went on and earned third runner-up, as well as Miss Photogenic honors! Miss Connecticut, Erin Brady, won the competition and will represent the United States at the Miss Universe pageant on November 9.

The 2013 Miss USA Competition on June 16 was a night of thrills and surprises, but the best moment was when Erin Brady (Miss Connecticut) took home the crown!

Erin Brady: 5 Things To Know About Miss Connecticut

1. Erin Brady is taken; she’s engaged to Tony Capasso. @Glenda_G_ tweeted, “Congrats to Erin Brady (Mrs. Future Capasso) I’m so proud of you!!!!!!!!!!! Miss CT now Miss USA! Yessssss CT Stand Up!!!!!” (And yes, they have their own wedding website.)

2. Her wedding date conflicts with the Miss Universe pageant! Nov. 9, 2013 was announced as the date of this year’s pageant in Moscow.  (Uh oh!)

3. Erin grew up in a family that suffered from alcohol and substance abuse. She’s now an advocate for children in similar situations.

4. She graduated with a degree in finance and a minor in criminal justice from Central Connecticut State University. She’s currently a financial accountant for Prudential Retirement in Hartford, Conn. She plans to get her MBA soon, and she’d like to be involved with Pension Risk Transfers.

5. Twitter users are not fans of Erin’s. While answering questions in regards to social media, Erin said she’s a people person and would much rather talk to someone on the phone, as opposed to tweeting or Facebooking others. Unfortunately, the comment ticked off some of her fans. @The CatchFence wrote, “Oh, Miss Connecticut doesn’t like Twitter? Well then F u too.”

Fifty-one of the nation’s loveliest ladies assembled in Las Vegas on June 16 for the 2013 Miss USA Competition, igniting a competition of beauty, brains — and, of course, bikinis! But did the right woman take home the crown? Read on for HollywoodLife.com‘s full review of the judges, the performances and the newly crowned Miss USA.

Erin Brady: Miss USA Winner 2013

While we’re used to a top five, this year was a bit different. After Miss Utah, Alabama, Illinois, South Carolina and Connecticut were chosen as the final five, Giuliana Rancic surprised the remaining contestants by letting them know that viewers at home voted for a sixth on Twitter! The extra finalist was Ali Negent from Texas.

After the long wait a new winner was crowned! It came down to Miss Alabama and Miss Connecticut!

It was a night of thrills and surprises – Erin Brady (Miss Connecticut) ended up taking home the crown!

Giuliana Rancic & Nick Jonas: Perfect Co-Hosts

Giuliana and Nick Jonas were on hand to host the big event, and honestly, we can’t think of two people more qualified for the job. Giuliana always leaves us in stitches when she gets real on E!’s Fashion Police, and she definitely kept the mood light as she judged the Miss USA contestants.

As for Nick, the youngest Jonas Brother has proven time and again that he’s got great taste in women. (Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, anyone?)

Jonas Brothers & DJ Pauly D Perform At Miss USA Competition

But Nick did more than just host the big event; he also delivered an incredible performance! Together with Kevin and Joe Jonas, the fully-formed Jonas Brothers tore up the Miss USA stage with a medley including “Pom Poms,” “First Time,” and new song “Neon.” Even after all these years, the JoBros still know how to make us swoon — even with 15 gorgeous women flaunting their bikini bods to their music!

And honestly, how could America possibly objectify a gaggle of gorgeous women in bikinis without a little help from DJ Pauly D? With no grenades in sight, former Jersey Shore star lent his table-turning skills to the big event for a get-up-and-shake-your-ass performance of his own.

All fifty of the contestants in the 2013 Miss USA pageant showed off their bikini figures in the preliminaries, but only the top 15 rocked out to the Jonas Brothers performing in the background!

Miss USA Top 15 Stun In Swimwear

The top 15 presented their sexy bodies in blue swimsuits — and were kicked off by a performance by the Jonas Brothers.

After the bros performed “Pom Poms,” with a little dance from the  girls in the background,” the first half of the top 15 strutted their stuff.

The front-runners from Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Alabama, Massachusetts and California all looked beyond gorgeous in their itty-bitty bikinis, while the Jonas Brothers jammed out in the background.

Then, for the first time live, the JoBros performed their new song “Neon,” and it seemed to really get the crowd going! They somehow didn’t get distracted by all the gorgeous girls in bikinis!

Next up were Miss North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, Nevada, Connecticut, and Utah, who all wowed the crowd with their poise. The ladies’ swimsuit competition was closed down with JoBros “First Time.”

Hosts Giuliana Rancic and JoBros’ star Nick Jonas looked stunning as well during the competition!

The Jonas Brothers performed new songs off their upcoming album at the 2013 Miss USA Competition on June 16 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. With their fifth album world tour on the horizon, this was the perfect opportunity to get everyone hyped up for the return of the JoBros — right in the middle of the swimsuit competition!

Jonas Brothers Perform New Songs At Miss USA

The JoBros are back! After giving us a sample of what to expect from their album with “Pom Poms” and “First Time”, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas gave us what we wanted tonight: more music!

Along with the aforementioned singles, the brothers also performed a new song, “Neon” at the June 16 pageant. Their medley showed just how much variety they’re going to offer on the new album. They’ve grown-up so much since their “Year 3,000″ days!

They had all the ladies swooning over their new songs, and we can’t to hear the full album!

Nick’s Busy Schedule During Miss USA

In addition to performing, the youngest of the popular boy band, Nick, also served as co-host with Giuliana Rancic! Nick made his busy schedule throughout the night look like easy.

At just 20 years old, he’s proved he can do it all: music, hosting and Broadway!

One thing’s for sure: We’re so glad the JoBros are back. It’s been too long without a good dose of music from the cutest brother band ever.

On June 16, 51 of America’s most beautiful young women will take the stage at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to compete for the coveted title of Miss USA! Will you be watching?

Miss USA Preview: The Show’s Lineup

The ladies, all representing the 50 states and one representing the District of Columbia, have been participating in preliminary rounds all week. Before the show’s telecast, 15 semi-finalists will be chosen to compete on the live broadcast. Fans also have the opportunity to vote for their favorites online on the Miss USA Facebook page or the Miss USA official website.

The women will take turns strutting their stuff in skimpy beachwear, showing off their talents, and answering difficult questions in order to earn the top spot. At the end of the night, one of the 51 ladies will be crowned 2013 Miss USA.

The show will be hosted by E! star Giuliana Rancic and Jonas Brother member Nick Jonas. Nick will also join his brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas during the show for a performance.

Miss USA Preview: The Judges

The panel of judges for the competition includes Bob Harper (The Biggest Loser), designer Betsey Johnson, Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, Hot in Cleveland star Wendie Malick, Duck Dynasty star Jessica Robertson, NFL star Larry Fitzgerald, former WWE Diva Nikki Bella, correspondent Mo Rocca and singer Christina Milian.

The pageant will air at 9 p.m. EST on June 16 on NBC.

Sex sells, but can it get people to stop wearing fur? The animal rights organization PETA is once again hoping it can — on June 13 they released a new ad featuring four former Miss USAs — completely naked!

Miss USAs Go Nude For PETA

The poster shows Shanna Moakler, 38, Alyssa Campanella, 23, Shandi Finnessey, 35, and Susie Castillo, 33, cozying up to each other totally nude (well, except for those high heels). The former Miss USAs have some strategically-placed hands draped over each other to cover up certain spots, and the ad also features the clever tagline, “Feel beautiful in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs.”

Shanna, Alyssa, Shandi, and Susie definitely look beautiful in their own skin (emphasis on skin!).

PETA’s Sexy Anti-Fur Campaign

PETA reports that every year millions of animals are electrocuted, beaten, drowned, and often skinned alive for their fur. That alarming stat was enough to compel the Miss USAs to strip down. “When it comes to the anti-fur campaign, it’s really close to my heart,” says Shanna in a behind the scenes video. “I’ve been awarded fur coats and I’m hoping to stop it in our pageant community.”

“I was appalled,” said Susie. “I couldn’t believe that that was still going on, knowing what we know today.”
