Mischa Barton, 27, was seen picking up a juice on Apr. 8 in Sunset PLaza, L.A. While we commend the star for picking up a healthy beverage her outfit is definitely questionable, especially since it looks like her weight is still fluctuating.

The O.C. actress threw on a loose-fitting white V-neck underneath a long black sweater. She paired the simple top with a pair of destroyed denim short-shorts that were fraying from every inch. While we’re sure her main priority was comfort, she looked a little too disheveled for our liking. Her cardigan was longer than her shorts, (which barely covered the star’s entire booty!), and they weren’t the most flattering option on the star.

While the outfit itself was relatively simple, (aside from the distressed shorts), she also wore a pair of studded Chloe ankle booties and a choker necklace with a cross dangling from it. On their own, the accessories may not have been a problem, but they seemed mismatched when paired with her casual get-up. Her vintage red, white, and blue handbag, however, was the perfect piece for running errands and it was super cute for a sunny day.

We love that her hair was blowing about naturally and that she wasn’t wearing a stitch of makeup — her skin looked completely flawless! Though it’s admirable that she’s doing her own thing and not being consumed by her looks, next time we hope she opts for an outfit that’s more flattering for her figure. Even if you’re dressing down you can still look neat and chic! We’ve seen so many stars show off comfortable cool outfits without looking sloppy, but unfortunately Mischa’s get-up doesn’t quite make the list.

Crop tops are a major trend for spring, with a slew of stars showing them off both on and off the red carpet — and that’s exactly what Vanessa Hudgens and Mischa Barton did!

Vanessa was the first to wear Katharine Kidd‘s Spring 2013 ensemble, pairing a delicate white a-line skirt with a long-sleeved chantily lace crop top in Madrid on Feb. 21 while promoting Spring Breakers at a photo call. The feminine skirt hit Vanessa right below the knee and the modest length balanced out the fact that she was bearing her midriff. The 24-year-old star looked sweet and chic in the stylish ensemble — now that’s how you rock a crop top! A colorful pair of sandals added a welcome pop of color to her look.

Unfortunately for Mischa, the actress missed the mark when she attended the Fire & Ice Gala in LA on March 29 wearing the exact outfit as Vanessa. While I’m a huge fan of the ensemble, I thought the fact that Mischa’s top was unlined looked super sloppy on the 27-year-old star. The very visible outline of her bra totally took away from the delicate lace detailing of this feminine ensemble. The star opted to wear her skirt a bit higher, revealing less of her tummy than Vanessa did. Personally I think the skirt looks better below the knee. A clutch, necklace and red lip finished off Mischa’s look.

Mischa Barton hasn’t always had the most favorable reputation in Hollywood, and in order to get over her fears and return to the spotlight she enlisted the help of stylist June Ambrose. Styled By June premiered last night on VH1, and throughout the season we’ll watch while she helps celebs rebrand their image — from dealing with their personal fears to finding the perfect frock, June takes on the task at a 360 degree approach in her ‘Juniverse.’

Last night, we watched while Mischa attended Fashion Week events and sat in the front row at the Naem Khan show. From styling her to helping her deal with the press, June reintroduces Mischa to the media — and the process was complete at Mischa’s handbag launch at A. Turen. We were actually on hand and spoke to Mischa, who seemed cool and collected — and excited to be back in the spotlight, receiving press for the right reasons.

All in all, the show was very entertaining. June has exactly what it takes to carry a successful fashion reality show — she’s talented with a great deal of experience, a covetable closet and a larger-than-life personality.

As for her assistants, they provide the needed rivalry and drama that entices viewers who aren’t just all about the clothes. Eli is the typical right hand — he’s no nonsense, gets the job done while throwing in funny quips along the way. He also has just the right touch of a mean girl, which clearly gets under the skin of inexperienced assistant Rachel, who just doesn’t seem to get it. I look forward to seeing how the relationship between the two of them plays out.

After taking some time off, Mischa Barton is back on the scene — and she looks fantastic. The star was on hand, filming scenes for June Ambrose‘s reality show, at the A. Turen boutique for a preview of her latest handbag collection where we got to chat with her about her return to television.

“Everyone keeps throwing that word around and I’m okay with it cause I have definitely taken a break,” she said when we asked her if she considered this reality show to be her big comeback. “I’m definitely older, I’ve taken a break, I’ve been working in film and I’ve been really trying to lay low — although the occasional bullshit paparazzi stuff still seems to leak and I can never seem to fully get away with it. That’s okay, you know as long as people are really starting to concentrate on the right things again, which is the incredible amount of work that I do. Things are good. I’m really happy and it has been great working with June [Ambrose] on this. She has also been shooting the other half of the episode with Catherine Malandrino. I think it’s a great opportunity for people to see what I have been doing.”

While Mischa definitely wants to settle down eventually, she is definitely embracing her comeback. “Within five years I want kids and I wanna be settled in the country. I don’t wanna be bothered. I want to be really quite private and happy, so now is the time. I’m working hard and I love my work and I do think that I’m not a forever public person, so I think while I’m young and loving it and working hard to enjoy it. In five years from now I can see myself doing theater in London and living in the country. I almost feel ready for it now — but not really!”

Aside from her appearance on the reality show, Mischa also has three upcoming roles — including a staring role in a Lifetime movie. “I don’t think I knew what I was getting myself into with reality but it has been fun. I am a pretty private person but I think it’s good for people to see me and what I’m like cause there is so much suspicion out there. I think when you’re private and a little guarded it’s kind of shocking. I never read the stuff but I realize people think things and they believe the things they read, so it is good for people to see me on TV just being me. It has been good hanging out with June — she’s pretty wild but it’s fun!”
