Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino confirmed on his website yesterday he voluntarily is receiving help for a prescription medication addiction — and HollywoodLife.com has a source who talked to Sammi Sweetheart in Las Vegas, who revealed more details about the serious problem.

We can confirm The Situation is addicted to Oxycontin and Vicodin, specifically. Sammi told our source, “Things got really bad after Italy.”

TMZ is reporting that Mike has checked into Cirque Lodge in Utah. Meanwhile, MTV announced that there will be a sixth season of Jersey Shore.

“I want to set the record straight,” the Jersey Shore star says on his website. “I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion. I have spent the past several weeks getting treatment for this problem and recuperating from my work and appearance schedule. I appreciate my fans support and love you guys.”

Our thoughts and well wishes are with The Situation as he gets help!

Breaking news: Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is in rehab, reports TMZ.

The 29-year-old Jersey Shore star’s rep confirmed to the site he “has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule.”

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by this disappointing news. We’ve all watched The Situation and his friends rage for years now…it was only a matter of time before it caught up with them.

That said, a source connected to the show tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively there is no chance Mike was doing drugs inside the house, as they are strictly monitored for anything outside of alcohol. That said, Mike always seemed to be “a different Mike” outside the show, our insider says. “He felt like he had this image to live up to, so he would ALWAYS take free drinks and try to be the life of the party,” the source explains. “It was troubling to watch.”

We contacted Snooki’s rep, who said she had “no comment.”

We hope Mike feels better soon — and can’t help but wonder how this will change next season of the show when he’s recovering and Snooki is pregnant!

Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, 24, has reportedly been telling friends and family that she’s expecting a baby with her boyfriend Jionni LaValle. But Snooki’s ex-boyfriend Emilio Masella tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that if Snooki is in fact pregnant, either he, Jionni, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino or Vinny Guadagnino could be the father.

“The real question is if Jionni is the father or me,” Emilio, 23, tells us. “Do you think she has only slept with one person the past year? I would have a chance that I can be the father.”

But there are other men who could also be Snooki’s baby daddy. “I would get a paternity test to get see who the father is,” Emilio suggests to Snooki. “I would donate my DNA test to see. I can be the father, Vinny, Jionni or Mike. There are a lot of suspects with her. She’s good at lying and can get away with anything with Jionni.”

Emilio reveals that he slept with Snooki as recently as five months ago. “I text her all the time,” he admits. “I don’t know if he [Jionni] sees it.”

He also believes that Snooki is not ready for a baby. “She’s not anywhere ready to be mom, [but] she doesn’t like to use a condom,” says Emilio. “If you can’t stay with one guy, how are you ready to be a mother? It would die of secondhand smoke. She needs to stop smoking and quit drinking.”

This is not Snooki’s first pregnancy scare. “One time when she was with me she thought she was pregnant and we had to go to the doctor and take a test,” Emilio recalls. “She didn’t get her period for a couple of months, but the doctor said it was normal.”

“It would probably ruin her life,” says Emilio. “Right now I’m not ready to be a father, but I would … take care of it.”

But Snooki may see this as her chance to promote her career with a spin-off. She “figures she can get [a show] if she gets pregnant or gets married,” he adds.

Other sources close to Snooki tell us that she isn’t expecting — and she also denied the allegations during an interview on The Opie & Anthony Show.

HollywoodLife.com also reached out to Snooki’s reps who have denied the pregnancy as well.

Let’s hope Atlanta was prepared for the Italian invasion! HollywoodLife.com has confirmed that Snooki, Mike “The Situation”, Sammi, Ronnie and JWOWW arrived in the “dirty dirty” July 18 around 10 AM and they’ll be there until the evening of July 20 to shoot their cameo in The Three Stooges remake being directed by the Farrelly brothers.

These guidos and guidettes are filming at the Atlantic Civic Center so if you’re nearby you should definitely stop by. The film is just about finished, we’re guessing this is one of the final scenes needed to wrap the flick. Also starring in the slap slick comedy are Larry David, Jennifer Hudson and Sean Hayes!

While these lucky five got a chance of a lifetime, Pauly D, Vinny and Deena went home for a breather but will return to Seaside Heights, NJ tomorrow night to resume shooting season five!

We can’t wait to see what trouble these tanned GTL lovers will provide in the bound to be hit film.

Mike “The Situation” is here to stay! Us Weekly claims Mike Sorrentino, 29, decided to leave in the middle of filming the fifth season of MTV’s Jersey Shore which is currently shooting in Seaside Heights, NJ — but HollywoodLife.com can confirm that Mike is NOT leaving the show!

“That’s crazy that people think he’s leaving,” a source tells us. “He walked out of the house but came back. He’s not going anywhere. The cast threw a surprise birthday party for Mike and Pauly D just last night at club Karma — Vinny is gone but not Mike.”

Our favorite guidos and guidettes shot season four in Italy and we’re sure it’s bound to bring laughs and drama come Aug 4!

Everyone’s favorite guidos and guidettes are having trouble being welcomed back to their ‘motherland.’

Season Four of MTV’s hit reality show, Jersey Shore, is postponed yet again, due to conflicts with the Mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi. 

There is already an established set of rules that must be observed, including no drinking in public and no filming in bars. According to Radaronline, permits have recently been revoked by the mayor to film at several important Florence landmarks like the Uffizi gallery and Palazzo Vecchio (the town hall of Florence). Will they have to sit in their townhouse and take shots with each other?

The cast’s Italian heritage isn’t buying them any favors when it comes to filming there. (We use “Italian” loosely: Snooki Polizzi is, of course, of Chilean extract. And J-WoWW is Irish-Spanish.)

There have been criticisms in the past over how the show depicts Italian-Americans in a seriously negative light, i.e. constant partying, swearing and fist-pumping that we’ve come to expect, so it’s no surprise that Italy isn’t exactly thrilled over the cast’s arrival.

Prior to these issues, filming was delayed because cast members demanded bigger raises. The eight core members of the group will reportedly pull in $100,000 per episode in the upcoming season.

Ronnie is depressed with Sammi out of the picture — is he going to be the next cast member to leave the show?

Last week on Jersey Shore, we watched as Sammi and Ronnie got in their biggest fight yet, ending with Sammi actually leaving the house just like she’s been threatening to do. This episode shows Ronnie trying, and failing, to get over Sammi and move on. Ronnie is miserable the entire time, and to be honest, it’s hard to feel sorry for him after we watched him destroy all of Sammi’s things!

Ronnie spends most of the episode crying — in the house to Mike, even in the bathroom at work. In an effort to apologize, he sends Sammi three dozen roses, a teddy bear, chocolates, and balloons. Everyone eventually starts to feel bad for him, even the girls, who state that they’re on Sammi’s side of the argument. J-Woww and Deena end up moving all of Sammi’s things out of her old room, which makes Ronnie mad because he doesn’t want anyone “in their business”. In the end, Ronnie tells Deena that he wants to leave the house because he’s so unhappy without Sammi. He also says he’s embarrassed about his actions, and I don’t blame him — he definitely should be!

Besides the Ronnie and Sammi misery that everyone has gotten so used to this season, this is probably the grossest episode we’ve seen yet. There is way too much over-sharing going on — not only do we watch Vinny try to fix the clogged toilets, but they find dirty underwear in the bathroom and Deena talks about how constipated she is. Way too much information!

Hopefully this is the last we see of the Ronnie and Sammi drama — they’re bringing everyone down! I know I can’t be the only one who wants to see more things like the prank war between Vinny and Snooki from this week!

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino sat down with Today Show’s Hoda and Kathie Lee this morning to promote his new book, Here’s the Situation: A Guide to Creeping on Chicks, Avoiding Grenades and Getting in Your GTL on the Jersey Shore, and answer a few revealing questions. You’ll never guess what shocked us the most!

Kathie Lee brought up a great point when she said that she would never want her own daughter to be called a “grenade,” but Sitch made no apologies when it comes to coining the degrading term! He claims that a girl can be grenade because of her personality, meaning that even a beautiful girl can be called one — but we’ve never seen that happen on the show!

The reality star is even even looking for a girlfriend between drunken escapades, saying that “I’m looking for the right one right now. I believe in destiny. I believe in true love.” Really?

Speaking of Jersey drunkenness, Kathie Lee asked how he he could possibly perform sexually after a night out in Miami. This particular situation, however, is a non-issue! Mike claims that he’s had “rave reviews,” also making sure to add that he doesn’t get as drunk as the rest of the roommates.

One of the best things about Mike ‘”The Situation” is that behind the fist-pumping and smack-talking, he actually has some sound advice. In response to a Facebook fan’s question about the possibility of getting STDs, he says, “I am not worried about STDs whatsoever because I believe in safe sex. Either wrap it up or don’t do it at all.” Phew!
