In this new interview, Michael Welch says that ‘Twilight’ cast members really are like high school friends and that the wedding felt SO real!

There’s no doubt the Breaking Dawn wedding would have been a blast to attend! In an interview with Michael Welch, 24, who plays Mike Newton in the Twilight saga, talks about how real the celebration actually felt while filming.

“It was really kind of weird, other than the paparazzi helicopters and people having to hold 14 umbrellas over Kristen’s head so they couldn’t get a shot of her wedding dress and all that stuff. It really did feel like a real wedding in many ways,” Michael says in the video. ”I sort of feel like my little group of high school friends, I sort of feel like we’re all real high school friends…”

But what really made the wedding feel SO real was the bride and groom’s on screen and off screen love for each other.

“Obviously Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] have tremendous chemistry together,” he says.

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out!

As we’ve previously reported, a real priest did marry Rob and Kristen, so while this wedding felt SO real, for all we know, it was real! We can only hope…

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for — the wedding scene has started!

We didn’t think it would begin for a few days, but we’ve got the scoop from actress Mia Maestro (aka Carmen of the Denali Coven) that filming has begun on Breaking Dawn’s intense wedding scene between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart!

“Long wedding night until 6am. Everyone was SO neatly frocked up :),” Mia tweeted from Squamish, BC on April 2.

Other cast members tweeted as well, mainly to kvetch about the late night shoots:

• Michael Welch — “I’m in the Cullen replica house they built up in Canada. It’s EXACTLY the same as the one in portland. I’m having crazy deja vu.”
• Kellan Lutz — “Wish I could have made it to WonderCon in San Fran to hang with everyone from IMMORTALS and all you amazing fans! Night shoots are no fun!”
• Ashley Greene — “whyyyyyyyy can’t I fall asleep! These night shoots are killing me! Messing up my sleep patterns hard core.”
• MyAnna Buring — “Night shoots kick my back side… leaving the birds to twitter I’m off to bed!”

The scene must be pretty epic if they were filming all night — we can’t wait to see it!
