90210 looks to be going out with a bang — literally. The cast was spotted filming the final episode of The CW drama March 1 in Los Angeles, and everyone was on high alert. Not only was Michael Steger (aka Navid) seen being carried off in a stretcher, covered in soot, but Jessica Lowndes (aka No-Drama Adrianna) was also seen looking a little on the charred side.

EW.com recently reported that the Goo Goo Dolls would be guest starring on the May 6 episode as “Naomi calls upon them to perform at a relief concert,” but from the looks of these photos, I’d say the band’s performance goes up in smoke. And since the cast was filming the series finale, which airs a week after the Dolls’ appearance, I also think it’s safe to say we’ll end the penultimate episode with a fiery cliffhanger.

In non-fire-related news, AnnaLynne McCord was also spotted sharing a tense moment with an angry-looking Robbie Jones, who joins the show March 11 as Naomi’s new love interest. (Sorry, Max!) Elsewhere on set, a teary-eyed Shenae Grimes was seen storming away from Tristan Wilds. A little Wilson sibling drama, perhaps?

Either way, it had been a long day of shooting for everybody. Just after 6 a.m. on March 1, AnnaLynne tweeted, “Happy Tweeting. My call time for my last 3 days of 90210 is happening very soon. Gonna sleep for a few more minutes! Xxx A”

After months away from 90210, Raj (Manish Dayal) is returning for the show’s March 20 episode — but sadly, he won’t be around for long. Ivy (Gillian Zinser) learns that her estranged husband is still battling cancer, and as leaked funeral photos revealed, she only has a small window of time in which to say goodbye. “It’s a very emotional arc for Ivy and it involves her whole crew of friends,” Michael Steger, who plays Navid, tells HollywoodLife.com. ”It’s pretty dark for a few episodes.”

Michael’s character returns for the March 27 episode, “Blue Ivy,” when Ivy is already deep in depression — as the title suggests.

But Michael says Ivy isn’t the only person rattled by Raj’s tragic death.

“It’s really going to affect a lot of people,” Michael says, adding that Manish was “a great asset to the show” and will be missed on set.

Navid (Michael Steger) will remain M.I.A. for a bit on 90210 – apparently he’s too busy at Princeton to Skype with his buddies in Beverly Hills — but he’ll return March 27, and you might not recognize him when he does! “Navid ends up coming back as a completely different person,” Michael tells HollywoodLife.com. “He even looks different.”

“He’s more of a man [when he comes back],” Michael tells us. “Less of a boy.” (He would neither confirm nor deny if that means Navid will be sporting some facial fuzz, but I’m hedging my bets.)

So what will his return mean for Silver (Jessica Stroup), who has now decided to stay on the west coast and cozy up with bartender-turned-model-turned-actor Liam (Matt Lanter)?

All Michael will say is that “there’s something Silver does that really raises the stakes for Navid and puts him in a very uncomfortable situation.”

Ooh, cryptic!

Michael Steger may have been M.I.A. from 90210 for the past few weeks, but off-screen, he’s busier than ever as the producer, co-writer and co-director of the one-woman show Brandee Built On Crazee. “It’s a passion project, so I’m really invested in it,” he tells HollywoodLife.com of the play, which stars his wife Brandee Tucker.

Brandee plays more than 15 different characters in the play, the result of a yearlong collaborative effort between Michael and Brandee. (This is actually the second one-woman show Michael has had the opportunity to direct, first doing so for a friend’s senior project in college.)

This time around, Michael got to direct his wife in her semi-autobiographical story, featuring “childhood bullies, a beauty shop guru, relatives with mental illness, an inspiring grandmother and many more characters.” He also enlisted the help of a friend, Sean Hankinson, who serves as co-writer and co-director with Michael.

“We had a great opening weekend, and we’ve got three more weeks,” Michael says. “It’s been pretty fun so far.”

Michael says his work on the show has “opened many more doors for him,” and has really piqued his interest in writing and directing.

“I want to continue on the same path and see if I can write my own script,” he tells us. “I just directed my first short film with Ted Danson and five unknown actors, which is coming out in about a month. It put me in this creative headspace to want to develop more projects for myself and whoever else is willing to join.”

So would Michael ever consider directing an episode of 90210?

“I’d love to, yeah,” he says. “I’ve yet to approach anyone about it.”

On behalf of all the fans, I say, “Do it, Michael!”

Remember when I told you Kat (Tiffany Hines) would be digging her claws deeper into Navid (Michael Steger) as their little undercover mission continued? Well, she’s practically ready to pounce on the Dec. 6 episode of 90210, as evidenced in this brand-new clip.

“There was obviously something there,” Tiffany told HollywoodLife.com of Kat and Navid‘s initial kiss in Vegas. “So they’re going to explore that a little bit.”

I guess we shouldn’t hold out breath for Navid and Silver (Jessica Stroup) to patch things up anytime soon!

Navid (Michael Steger) and Kat (Tiffany Hines) gave new meaning to the word “undercover” when they kissed in bed on last week’s 90210 — and Tiffany says it was only the start of “big things” to come. “There were definitely fireworks going off with that kiss,” Tiffany tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “It was a game changer, and it set some pretty interesting things in motion.”

Of course, it’ll take more than one kiss for Navid to completely forget about Silver (Jessica Stroup) — especially considering he’s only working with Kat to keep Silver safe. But is there a chance Navid will find himself with conflicted feelings for the two girls? You bet.

“There was obviously something there, so [Navid and Kat] are going to explore that a little bit,” Tiffany adds. And until they figure out how they feel about each other, Tiffany says we can look forward to another kind of action:  ”There’s going to be a sting coming up! I mean, you can’t have an undercover operation without a sting, right?”

But before you start sending angry letters to Tiffany — who will be appearing on at least three more episodes — you should know that she’s a “Nilver” supporter!

“I’ve been watching the show, and I’m a big fan of Navid and Silver’s relationship,” Tiffany admits. “Hopefully, people won’t hate me too much.”

The Oct. 11 episode of 90210 served as an hour-long reminder of why I don’t get political: Everybody ends up getting hurt. Or they become prostitutes. Regardless, the gang had a rough go of things this week — and it might be too late for two fan-favorite couples to pick up the pieces.

Teddy (Trevor Donovan) made his triumphant return to Beverly Hills this week, but if he had idea how much drama was waiting for him, he might not have been in such a rush to come back. He bumped into Shane (Ryan Rottman), an old flame from Barcelona, only to discover his uncle was running for Congress against the very politician Shane had sworn his undying allegiance to!

Oh, and did I mention that politician was played by Brandy? Because she was totally played by Brandy. I literally cannot stress that fact enough.

In an ongoing effort to boost her sorority’s profile on campus, Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) decided to help students register to vote — and with a little event-planning assistance from everybody’s favorite cowboy, the “Strip to Vote” party was born! Unsurprisingly, Naomi and Austin (Justin Deeley) did most of the stripping, ultimately finding themselves in an awkward, clothes-less position with Max (Josh Zuckerman.)

Meanwhile, Annie (Shenae Grimes) continued her G-rated escort business — seriously, a sex-less dinner date is not technically prostitution — but this time she brought a new girl into the fold. Yes, Navid’s naughty little sister is now Annie’s partner in Disney-level crime. This is sure to end adorably. Not well, but definitely adorably.

Things also got tense between Liam (Matt Lanter), Jane (Kristina Apgar) and Jane’s zombie husband this week, as a scuffle between the dudes landed pregnant Jane in the hospital. I really hope the baby’s OK. But more importantly, I really hope zombie husband doesn’t start nomming on Liam’s beautiful brain. Who would run the bar?!

Lastly, and certainly most tragic, is what went down between Navid (Michael Steger) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) this week. Silver got back to her intrepid reporter roots — I’m bummed she gave up on that dream, by the way — and found out about Navid’s uncle’s little illegal car ring. But instead of understanding, she basically broke up with him and moved in with Naomi until he gets his life together. Talk about overreacting! I think someone’s off their meds again…

I literally lost track of the number of emotional, dramatic speeches made by Liam (Matt Lanter) on the Sept. 27 episode of 90210 — but it’s OK, because he delivered them all with poise, beauty, and perfectly side-swept bangs. Though something tells me Annie (Shenae Grimes) didn’t quite appreciate his speech to her as much as I did, considering it ended with “I’ll always love you…” but we should really break up.

And the night took an even darker turn for Annie when she learned she’s, basically, becoming a prostitute. These super-creepy Turkish guys paid her and her friend to spend the night with them, and since Annie kissed one of them on the dance floor, they technically paid for a sexual favor — though, if you ask me, they didn’t really get their money’s worth.

Side note: Liam’s new lady friend Jane (Kristina Apgar) is with child. But before you freak out, it’s not Liam’s. It belongs to his dead friend — her dead husband — who, honestly, I’m kind of thinking isn’t really dead. Mark my words: He’ll be back, even if he has to crawl out of the sea!

Meanwhile in the business world, Navid (Michael Steger) made some bad, bad choices. When he discovered his uncle was using Shirazi Studios to run a stolen car ring, he could have told his business partners — Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Silver (Jessica Stroup) — the truth. But no. Instead he canceled Dixon’s meeting with that big-time music producer, Juice Randall, and told Silver he didn’t want to work with her. Navid had better watch his back, too, because Dixon’s popping pills. Like, crazy pills.

And then, of course, there were the sorority wars. Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) paid her way into a dumpy sorority and made the girls over, House Bunny-style, so she’d have an army with which take down Holly (Megalyn Echikunwoke). And despite a few bumps in the road — for one thing, the girls didn’t appreciate Naomi referring to them as “losers” — they agreed to help her

But Holly has an army of her own, and they discovered Naomi’s Achilles heel — Max (Josh Zuckerman)! Methinks the nerd is finally coming back into the picture…
