Bio: Michael Johns (born Michael John Lee in Perth, Australia on October 20, 1978) is an American singer. He rose to fame when became a finalist on American Idol during its seventh season in 2008. Following his stint on the show, he joined the finalists on tour in 2008. He worked on the music for snowboarder Shaun White’s documentary Don’t Look Down. He released his album, Hold Back My Heart, in 2009. Three years later, he released an EP, Love and Sex. He died suddenly on Aug. 1, 2014 of a reported blood clot.
