Michael Clarke Duncan‘s death definitely came as a surprise to the Hollywood crowd. Now, many who’ve crossed paths with the 54-year-old are publicly sharing their condolences.

Michael’s co-star in The Green Mile, Tom Hanks, released an emotional statement about Michael’s shocking death.

“I am terribly saddened at the loss of Big Mike,” Tom said in a statement. “He was the treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile. He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned.”

Other celebs have taken it to Twitter to remember the talented actor.

“R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan sending my condolences 2 his fam & love ones” Timbaland tweeted.

“Ahhh… #michaelclarkeDuncan I loved you! Green Mile was epic. RIP #gentlegiant,” Katharine McPhee said on Twitter.

“R.I.P. Michael Clarke Duncan (Retweet For Respect),” Wiz Khalifa tweeted.

“So sad & shocked to hear of the death of Michael Clarke Duncan. Only 54 years old- he never recovered from his heart attack in July RIP sir. My heart and prayers go out to you @Omarosa … I remember you telling me how happy you & Michael Clarke Duncan were – so sorry,” Sherri Shepherd tweeted.

It’s clear Michael made an impact on so many people! We’re so sad to hear about his death.

Omarosa Manigault thought she’d seen the worst of it when Michael Clarke Duncan collapsed from a heart attack on July 13.

“[He had] no heartbeat, no pulse, no nothing,” Omarosa said on the Tom Joyner Morning Show on August 17. “Twenty years ago in summers in college I taught tennis classes, and they required you to take CPR classes. If you are with someone you love, you need to be able to resuscitate them.”

Omarosa went on to say during the August 17th interview that Michael was in good health. But sadly, the 54-year-old passed away in the hospital on September 3 — from complications of his heart attack.

Michael’s rep told TMZ, “Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date.”

Green Mile and The Whole Nine Yards actor Michael Clarke Duncan passed away on Sept. 3. He was 54 years old.

Michael’s passing came suddenly, sources tell TMZ. His fiancee, Omarosa Manigault was with him in the hospital, but unfortunately left for a short period of time, and that’s when Michael died.

Michael’s rep says the actor never fully recovered from the heart attack he suffered from on July 13 — when Omarosa saved his life.

Michael’s rep tells TMZ, “Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date.”

Our thoughts are with Michael’s family and friends at this very sad time in their lives.

Although The Apprentice‘s Omarosa Manigault Stallworth and Green Mile actor Michael seem like the world’s strangest couple, he tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively what he sees in a woman known as the queen of mean!

No one was more surprised than we were to see that The Apprentice’s uber-beyotch Omarosa Manigault Stallworth was dating The Green Mile‘s gentle giant Michael Clarke Duncan – but the two confirm to HollywoodLife.com that they are, indeed, a couple. SO WEIRD.

“Oh, most definitely!” the 36-year-old reality villain told us exclusively at In Touch Weekly‘s post-VMAs bash Sept. 12 when we asked if the two were together. Michael, 52, responded, “That’s my girl right there. That’s my girl.”

So how could this crazy strange pairing occur? What could he possibly see in someone so, well, MEAN? “[I like] her personality,” he confided to us. “Really! She’s very knowledgeable. She’s the first woman that I can wake up next to and knows all about politics and what’s going on in the world. The world, defense, what’s going on with the President’s program. Anything and everything. She’s very intelligent.”

How long has this odd relationship been going on? “We’ve been around [each other since] about January, but we JUST started seeing each other because she was doing her show,” Michael reveals. “We tried not to get in each other’s way. I mean, I tried not to get in HER way, but my feelings got the best of me. I took her to a Lakers game and that was it. I shouldn’t have done that, but I couldn’t help myself.”
