Kody Brown has four wives, and pretty soon, his hit show Sister Wives will have four seasons! TLC confirms to HollywoodLife.com that the series, which aired its third season finale Jan. 1, will be back for another season, though a premiere date has yet to be determined.

Sister Wives‘ third season was arguably its most dramatic one yet, especially when it came to Kody’s relationship with his first wife, Meri. He practically demanded that she give him another baby — 17 kids is clearly not enough for him — and he wanted to give Meri the first opportunity to grow the family.

“We just can’t keep going in these circles,” Kody told Meri during one particularly heated argument. “You might feel different when we’re in our new homes. I know it’s hard.”

And the issue still hadn’t been resolved as of the season finale, even though Robyn offered herself up as a surrogate. I guess we’ll have to wait until season four to find out if Meri changes her mind!

‘Sister Wives’ Cancellation Rumors:

This news should come as a relief to fans who suspected the show had been canceled, following a cryptic tweet from one of the wives.

“Thanks everyone for tuning in last week for r season finale,” Janelle tweeted Jan. 6. “Hope 2 see u all again soon. Keep up with us all in Twitter in the meanwhile.”

Well, now we can officially confirm that we will see Janelle again, along with the rest of the Brown clan.

Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn finally made some honest confession to Steve Harvey on his show today, Nov. 30.

“We do have jealous moments over Kody,” revealed wife#3 Christine. “If I’m having an insecure moment and not feeling confident about who I am,” — that’s when it happens.

The polygamist family also admitted that the wives will fight with each other, but husband Kody acts in full self preservation mode at that point.

“He ducks and hides,” laughs Meri.

Insists Kody in his defense: “it’s dangerous for me to mediate between them because I’m their husband.”

Instead, Kody explains that when one wife has a complaint about another, “I need to validate her and then let her work it out with the other wife.”

But it was Janelle who probably said the thing that all non-polygs suspected. “He’s pretty much always in the doghouse with one of us.”

How could Kody not be? One husband, four wives, 17 kids. No man could keep all those personalities happy at one time! Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers?

Kody Brown doesn’t think 17 children with his four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn are enough, and he let Meri — just the mother of one — know that loud and clear.

Kody Says He’s Having More Kids

Meri, 41, Kody’s wife #1, has been dragging her feet deciding whether to try again to have another baby using wife Robyn, wife #4, as her surrogate. Robyn made the generous offer to Meri several months ago in hopes of making Meri a mother again. Meri has been tormented by infertility since giving birth to daughter Mariah, now 17.

But Meri, after crying for years over her infertility, has now been in tears again because she can’t decided whether she actually wants another baby. It turns out that Meri has learned to love the independence that comes from having only one almost grown child.

But sperminator Kody has had enough. He lays it on the line to Meri telling her, “I’m going to have more kids.”

In other words — with or without you Meri — I’m not stopping at 17. Clearly six with wife Janelle and six with wife Christine aren’t enough. Robyn only has four, so he probably feels like she can handle another couple or maybe he does plan on taking a fifth wife, to expand his brood even more.

Kody does want to give Meri first dibs on being next to have his pawn. “In two months, we’re going to start choosing the doctor and dropping the cash,” he urges her.

Meri Breakdowns but Kody Barely Relentless

When she breaks down again, he finally relents and agrees to give Meri five months to decide whether she’s ready to procreate again.

“We just can’t keep going in these circles,” he warns her. “You might feel different when we’re in our new homes. I know it’s hard.”

“I don’t think you do,” Meri shoots back. And obviously he doesn’t. Kody is so focused on still expanding his brood, he’s not interested in whether Meri’s sharing his gigantic family goal.

Of course, the big mystery in Sister Wives is how the Browns can afford an 18th, 19th or 20th kid, when aside from their TV show, they have no visible means of support. Their new online etail business, My Sister Wife’s Closet, can’t be pulling in big bucks yet!

Their Troubled Finances

Finances sort of seem to be an issue. After all, last week’s episode was all about getting loans so the family could afford to buy four gigantic houses next to each other on a suburban Las Vegas cul de sac.

And finances seem to be an issue when wives #2 and #3 particularly gang up on Meri for wanting a house as big as theirs, even when she only has one child, and they have six each.

In the Brown family it turns out,  finances are divided four ways between the wives and their families — regardless of size. This hardly seems fair to Janelle and Christine, and they can’t help themselves from repeatedly slamming Meri, who wants the same size house as theirs.

“I worried that what I needed would be sacrificed in the name of the budget,” Janelle confesses.

“I thought Meri should get a smaller home because she has less kids,” Christine agreed.

Meanwhile, Meri was once again crying because, “I’d loved to have needed a seven-bedroom home, but that was not the cards I was dealt,” she sobs.

Meanwhile, she’s particularly upset because she wants a “wet bar” but can only get that if her house has a fifth bedroom, so she’s going to be “forced” to have all that extra room.

“It’s been a struggle for the family to see me have all this extra space. You have no idea how much I was in tears over the fifth bedroom,” she cries. “I don’t want to be judged for having this extra room. I don’t need this extra room.”

Unfortunately, it’s hard to have total sympathy for Meri’s big problem – she wants too big a house. No wonder Kody wants to get her knocked up again — then he might not have to listen to his other wives complaining about her hogging more than her fair share.

Oh — the problems of having multiple wives.

The Kids’ Speak Out

No wonder daughter Madison repeats her vow that she doesn’t want a “big family myself — everyone’s in my business.” Daughter Aspyn says she wants a plural family but doesn’t want “to wait around to find the perfect one,” and oldest son Logan seems less than enthusiastic about having multiple wives. “In 20 years, I want to have a wife and… maybe others later.”

Perhaps, that’s why Kody’s so keen on fathering more kids. He wants to make sure he produces enough future polygamists.

Poor Meri Brown. She may be Kody Brown‘s first wife but she’s now revealed in vivid detail how she feels like wife # nothing because her fertility problems have rendered her unable to produce more than one child: her daughter Mariah.

Imagine how she felt as Kody took on wives number 2 and 3, who each rapidly produced six children a piece, all while she suffered from miscarriages and dashed hopes.

Furthermore, not only has she felt like a loser of a lesser wife because she has produced only one of polygamist Kody’s 17 children, but she has felt unworthy of having her own house that is similar in size and quality to the other wives’ houses.

Now, as the family is bravely taking on the financial commitment to buy and build four new homes on four Las Vegas lots on a quiet cul-de-sac so they can strengthen their “family culture” as Kody puts it, Meri has a traumatic time agreeing to support the decision that she will get her very own large house.

“The judgement I feel like I’ll get from many people including family members with that size of home, with only one child who will be leaving for college in a year…” she explains, reduced to tears. “It’s obvious I don’t need a home as big as everybody else’s,” she says.” I’ve had many conversations in the past that I don’t need this and shouldn’t be choosing that.”

In other words, Meri is saying that Kody’s other wives believe that she deserves less because she has produced less in the pitter-patter of little feet department.

And you can easily imagine how cutting this is for Meri who has been desperate to have another child or six. “If I’d had my say, I would have needed a seven bedroom home because I would have had eight kids myself, that’s what I wanted. But it’s not the cards I’ve been dealt. But there’s many times in my life I’ve felt punished because of that,” she sobbed.

Any woman who has suffered through the horrors of infertility knows what torture this must have been for Meri and continues to be. You’re not just tormented, but you’re living in a multi-marriage with three other hugely fertile women and then two of them diss you , implying that you are unequal.

Janelle actually admits to the world, on the show, that she really didn’t think Meri should have as nice a house as she ended up with in Las Vegas.

“I felt like you were taking family resources that our family could use,” she tells Meri. “I remember being so concerned about your need to have this home with a pool and I was really looking at how I can feed my family.”

Then there’s cruel Christine. First, she also confessed to Meri’s face: “I’m sorry for thinking you should have a small house… I thought that.”

But that wasn’t all from fertile Christine. She actually confessed in the Sister Wives Tell-All Special after the regular episode, that she told sad and barren Meri that she hoped she DIDN’T get pregnant while she, Christine was pregnant. Meri’s desperately awaited pregnancy would make her own pregnancy “less special for me,” she explained. “I was very mean,” she added.

Christine is absolutely right – she was a MEAN girl sister wife and so was Janelle. And Janelle’s latest nastiness to Meri happened not that long ago — when the family moved to Las Vegas, a year ago.

But then, Janelle’s digs at Meri are really payback we learned after Meri was apparently super mean to Janelle for the first few years of her marriage to Kody. Can you follow this?

I guess Meri found the adjustment to sharing her husband with wife #2, not as easy as she has earlier made out. Are we surprised?

Strangely after the wives started revealing more about the behind closed drama and backstabbing in their plural marriage, they all confessed that they wouldn’t change anything in the world about it. Not even Meri who was a sobbing puddle of tears earlier.

Sister Wives has recently documented Kody Brown and first wife Meri’s struggles to get pregnant, including Meri’s revelation of a heartbreaking miscarriage. In a new preview for this weekend’s episode, it appears this is still bringing the two some heartache.

Kody and Meri are enjoying a tropical getaway, but the tears begin to fall when conversation switches to the topic of Kody’s fourth wife Robyn’s offer to serve as their surrogate.

“This freaks me out to go through all that again, and I don’t know if I wanna do that at this point in my life,” Meri says. “I’m feel like I’m too young to [go through having an] empty nest, but I’m too old to start a family.”

“It’s OK: Whatever you wanna do,” Kody tells her, reassuringly.

Meri, clearly emotional, then says, “This is stupid, this is stupid … I don’t know what I want.”

The heart-wrenching episode airs this Sunday, June 16, at 9 p.m. E.S.T. on TLC, followed by a special called Brown Family Confessions at 9:30. Regarding the special, the network promises that “all topics are up for grabs and you’ll see their brutally honest and unrehearsed responses.”

After a year of searching, the Browns thought they finally found four perfect homes right next to each other on the June 3 episodes of Sister Wives, but they remained concerned the housing deal could fall through. ”We’ve had broken hearts before.” Kody Brown revealed in an emotional confession. “We have dealt with big heartbreaks in our lives and we have overcome all of it.”

After an investor decided to go in a different direction, Janelle wrote up a business plan for the fitness center the family is trying to open. She revealed that her own weight loss was a major eye opener about the positive effect fitness can have on people’s lives, and now she wants to help people “regain their lives” through fitness. Kody is supportive of Janelle’s dream, but admitted he’s concerned about the financial impact it could have on their family.

Meanwhile, Kody and Meri decided to consult a fertility specialist about their problems getting pregnant. As the first wife, Meri struggled while watching her fellow sister wives have children before her. She revealed that after they had their first daughter, Mariah, she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.

“I didn’t understand why after another 12 years of trying,” Meri said through tears. “And then it was taken away from us and I didn’t understand that.”

After one fertility specialist recommended IVF, Meri and Kody decided to get a second opinion. The second specialist recommended using donor eggs, but the couple didn’t think that would be an option for them either.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, Kody attended a special dance for daughters and fathers at the kids’ elementary school. The girls were extremely excited and dressed up for the occasion, and Meri even came over to Robyn‘s house to help get the girls ready for the dance. Meri admitted she feels separated from the young children because of their distant homes.

Later, in a confession, Robyn warmly told Meri, “I want my kids to have the exposure of you as a mother.”

The women then decided to decorate Kody’s car as a Valentine’s Day surprise. Robyn planned to ask Kody to borrow his car because she had a flat tire, and Kody almost ruined the surprise by trying to fix her tire instead of lending her the car! Thankfully, Christine helped distract Kody and the plan worked perfectly. Robyn told Kody she wrecked the car and needed him to come look at it, which is when the family surprised Kody with balloons and pink writing all over his car. Kody presented each of the wives with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The family met with the loan officer and were shocked to learn that one of the properties they were looking at had been sold and the price was going to be double what they thought. The family decided that the best plan was to move on and keep looking for homes.

The case against the polygamous family featured on Sister Wives has been dismissed, Utah prosecutors announced. In 2010 authorities had investigated charges of bigamy against Kody Brown and wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, but the case is now closed.

Court papers explain the county has adopted the same policy as the state in regrads to bigamy and would not pursue criminal charges unless evidence exists of a victim or fraud. The family has 17 children among them, and was made popular by the TLC reality show that fascinated America.

The Browns’ attorney, Jonathan Turley, said they were “pleased that charges wouldn’t be filed” but have no plans to withdraw the lawsuit they filed against the county when they moved to Las Vegas.

Kody Brown talks a good game — like he has a good and sensitive relationship with each of his four wives — but he’s an epic fail with Christine, who is mother of six of his children.

Christine confides in Meri that there are things in their relationship she and Kody have to talk about and fix. But Meri’s advice is about as helpful as Kody’s relationship denial. Christine has to face the depressing thought that Kody may never admit that he’s wrong and that she can only work on their relationship in a one-sided way.

That would be hard enough in a marriage between just two people, but when you have three other wives in your marriage, can you imagine??
