There were so many beautiful looks at the Feb. 27 Oscars, it’s hard to make a list of the best! We’ve combed through all the hairstyles and makeup and come up with our favorites– and we want to know what YOU think!

• Natalie Portman: Maybe it’s her pregnancy, or it could be her big nomination, but for whatever reason the Best Actress winner, 29, looks especially radiant! We love her simple makeup, which emphasizes the beautiful color of her dress. Her hair is so flattering, too, in side-swept curls that have a loose, bohemian feel.
• Mila Kunis: Natalie’s Black Swan costar, 27, takes her signature smoldering, smokey-eye look and gives it a bit of a gentler feel (maybe to go with her soft lavender dress?). The Grecian-inspired updo is really our favorite part of Mila’s look. It’s so different from what we’ve seen her wear, and so unique. She looks more elegant than ever!
• Jennifer Lawrence: The Winter’s Bone actress, 20, may have lost out to Natalie for Best Supporting Actress, but she still shines in the beauty department! She looks so elegant and youthful at the same time, with long, flowing hair in gorgeous, soft waves. She completes the look with polished, minimal makeup that keeps the focus on her glowing skin.
• Jennifer Hudson: Jennifer, 29, who presented at the awards, looks so good after her 80-pound weight loss! This look is all about the hair: a sculpted updo with gorgeous auburn highlights that really pop next to her dress’s bright color. Her eyes are precisely lined and the total effect is so flattering!
• Hailee Steinfeld: The True Grit star, 14, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress but lost to Melissa Leo, really gets it right with an age-appropriate hairstyle that is topped off with a lovely thin metallic headband. We love that her makeup look is so minimal, really just some blush, mascara, and very subtle gloss!

She was swept up during her emotional moment, but went WAY too far by swearing!

During her acceptance speech for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar at the 83rd Academy Awards, Melissa Leo shocked the crowd and home audience when she dropped a very blatant f-bomb!

Although the moment was quickly bleeped out on the Feb. 27 broadcast, the offending sentence Melissa, 50, delivered was, “When I watched Kate [Winslet win] two years ago, it looked so f–king easy!”

This is a family show, Melissa — you can’t just blurt out profanity! Furthermore, you were heavily favored to win — why didn’t you whip up an acceptance speech ahead of time so you wouldn’t say something you’d regret?

From nominees Jennifer Lawrence and Melissa Leo to reality stars Kim and Kortney Kardashian and designer and mom Nicole Richie, it seemed like all of Hollywood was represented Feb. 25 at the QVC Red Carpet Style Party. The intimate party, held at the Four Seasons in LA, saw Nicole go super short in a VERY LBD while the super stylish Jennifer looked amazing in a body hugging dress that could double as a super sexy slip!

The big show may be Sunday night, but all of Hollywood is already celebrating the Oscars with a score of parties across LA. On. Feb. 25 Amy Adams, Melissa Leo, and Hailee Steinfeld were just a few who made their way to Soho House in West Hollywood for the Fourth Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party Presented by Perrier-Jouet and sponsored by MAC. Melissa shone in a pretty Tommy Hilfiger sheath while red carpet fave Hailee was perfect as always in a simple Vionnet.

Even the best hair and makeup teams in the world can have an off day and these lovely ladies from the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards are a perfect example of that. It’s time to check out the stars that didn’t exactly make the grade and for the Worst Red Carpet Beauty Look from the night. Let’s review the contenders:

Oh, Nicole Kidman. I get the whole messy updo concept to go with your Nina Ricci dress, but it didn’t wind up looking polished. As a matter of fact, it looks like Walk of Shame hair.  Not terribly upset about the makeup, though but as an overall look, this didn’t work.

As reported previously, I depend on Helena Bonham Carter to bring the crazy and she, again, delivered like Domino’s.  The crazy can-can girl updo with a long curly ponytail was more appropriate for the Moulin Rouge than the red carpet. Also, I should not be able to see your lip liner.

It pains me to write this about Eva Longoria (because I love her) but this was all wrong. The orange glow, the intensely spiky eyelashes, the severely arched eyebrows – none of this works. Plus, there’s one thing that never works on the red carpet: visible double-stick tape. Check out under her armpit. Poor Eva!

Winona Ryder also worked another crazy look on the red carpet. What is happening with the Medusa hairstyle at the top? Why so much blush? A softer makeup look would have worked with the hair or a more refined hairstyle would have worked with the makeup, but the two in combination here is a disaster.

I know, I know – it’s like kicking a puppy, but I really didn’t like Jenna Fischer’s whole look. She needed something more dramatic to prevent looking washed out.  This looks like she just came from the gym. Not a good choice.

Oh, Christina Hendricks. I can see where this was going but it wound up in vampire chic territory. The hair’s a little too high at the crown and , while I love the dark eye makeup, it came off Goth with the black dress because she’s so pale.

Then there’s Melissa Leo. One, too much powder makes every line on your face more visible so take that down a notch for the Oscars. Two, curls with that neckline were not a good choice. Three, carry the color on your face all the way down your neck so your head and your decolletage aren’t two different colors.

The nominations for the 2011 Academy Awards were just released and everyone is scrambling. While stylists and designers have already started speed dialing hair and makeup gurus, there’s one goal that everyone has in mind: landing on the Best Dressed List. Which brings us to another important prediction: who do YOU think will have the Best Red Carpet Beauty Look at the broadcast? Let’s check out the nominees!

The gallery above has all the lovely nominees for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. You might easily start listing red carpet favorites like Natalie Portman and Amy Adams but then think about it…Jennifer Lawrence looked gorgeous and she could be the dark horse that could make her Hollywood’s newest red carpet “It” girl. Watch out for Hailee Steinfeld, btw – that girl is gorgeous and she’s a huge rising star both on and off the carpet!

Vote for most improved? Hopefully, Annette Bening will make some kind of effort and you never know what Helena Bonham Carter will do. Will Melissa Leo show up looking better than Michelle Williams? I have no idea and that’s what makes it so surprising!
