The final 12 episodes of ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager begin March 18, and if you think you’re surprised that the long-running drama is actually coming to an end, just imagine how the cast feels! ”It’s going to be really sad to watch the last episode, because that’s it,” Megan Park tells HollywoodLife.com of the series finale, which airs June 3.

“I remember first meeting [Shailene Woodley] at the wardrobe fitting before we filmed the pilot,” she recalls. “She was 15 then, and she was with her mom, and I was with my mom. It’s so crazy!”

“I can’t wait to see the last episode,” adds Daren Kagasoff. “It’s the last time we were all together as a cast, so it’s close to my heart.”

Will Ricky & Amy Get Married?

One of the biggest events of the final 12 episodes — assuming it actually happens — is the highly anticipated wedding of Amy and Ricky. But you’ll have to wait until the big day comes, because Daren isn’t giving up anything.

“There are definitely some obstacles, and I can’t even say if we do get married or if we don’t,” he says. Let’s just say she gets a wedding dress, and it wasn’t one that I necessarily would have picked out.”

How Will It All End? Who Will End Up With Who?

Not only did Megan not “envision” Grace’s story ending the way it does, but she actually sounds a little disappointed.

“I didn’t want this ending,” Megan admits. “But it makes sense. I can see why they decided to do this with my character. It’s definitely, definitely not the ending I was expecting.”

Sadly, she can’t say whether or not Grace’s ending involves a happily-ever-after with Jack (Greg Finley), but she promises fans are in for more than one shocker.

“I was really surprised to see who everyone ends up with, and where they end up, and what they’re doing,” she hints. “It’s real, but it’s not what everybody’s going to want.”

While Daren agrees the series doesn’t end the way he predicted, he think the characters are exactly where they belong.

“The ending is unbelievable,” he says. “I think it all ended correctly. When we were informed we weren’t coming back, [creator Brenda Hampton] had to scramble to come up with an ending, and I think the way she did it was phenomenal.”

On the April 2 episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, nearly everyone wound up in summer school. Some by choice; others… not so much.

Over at Ricky (Daren Kagasoff) and Amy’s (Shailene Woodley) apartment, Ricky couldn’t understand why Amy wanted to go to summer school. He thought Amy should be working to earn a little extra money and spending time with John. Amy tried to rationalize her decision, but the only thing she managed to convince me of is that she’s a whiner. Did anyone else feel like she was fighting simply for the sake of fighting?

Further putting a strain on their relationship was Ethan, who was starting school with Amy. Ricky warned Amy not to treat Ethan like a friend, but Amy didn’t listen to him, thinking all Ethan needed was love and trust. How wrong she was! Right after she stood up for him to Ricky, Ethan could be seen peering through the doorway, watching Ricky show Amy where he hid their money.

Meanwhile, after catching Ben (Ken Baumann) smoking pot with Dylan (Ana Lucasey), Mr. Boykevich forbade him from seeing her. He also decided to punish Ben by sending him to summer school. Ben knew his dad was only trying to get him to repair his friendship with Henry, who was also going to summer school, but Ben — still upset over Henry’s betrayal — wanted nothing to do with him.

A little later, Ben managed to show himself up in the stupidity department when he forgot to both turn the ringer off on his secret cell phone and lock his door (again!), all but inviting his dad to find out he was still speaking to Dylan. His punishment? His dad hired a chauffeur/babysitter/bodyguard to make sure he stayed away from Dylan, whose own parents had forbidden her from seeing Ben, thinking he’s a drug addict. “He’s skinny as a rail,” her mother reasoned. Now there’s sound logic.

Elsewhere, Grace (Megan Park) skipped her first day of MedCamp and surprised Adrian (Francia Raisa) by telling her she’s moving in with her and going to summer school. After Grace didn’t show up to MedCamp, all hundred of her love interests (both past and present) went out looking for her. But Grace didn’t need them to help her realize she had made a mistake. She regretted her decision as soon as she realized Adrian, who’d fallen hard for Omar, was breaking their no-boyfriends rule. Unfortunately for Grace, she got kicked out of MedCamp for lying about where she’d been.

At summer school, everyone was turning on everyone. Literally, no one was safe. Lauren (Camille Winbush) targeted Madison, Alice railed on Adrian — heck, even Ben took a swipe at Amy. At one point, Madison went so far as to call John a mistake! If every class is going to be even half as awkward as their first, then these kids are in for a rough summer!

That same day, Ethan got caught stealing condoms, believing he had a shot with Madison (Renee Olstead), and got suspended. Realizing she had made a mistake, Amy apologized to Ricky. She even managed make it up to him by hiding their stash of money before Ethan could get his hands on it!

Later that night, Ben admitted to his father he got the pot from Dylan’s friends. He defended his decision to lie, explaining how much he cares about her.

Finally, Jack (Greg Finley II) showed up at Adrian’s, where he professed his love for Grace and asked her to give their relationship another chance. Grace rejected his advances, explaining she needs to keep her promise to her mother and focus on school.

“Does everybody think I’m stupid?” That rhetorical question — posed by Amy (Shailene Woodley) on the March 26 spring premiere of The Secret Life Of The American Teenager – really could have been asked by anyone on the show. Because, on some level, they were all a little bit stupid. At least this week.

Grace (Megan Park) was stupid for thinking she could successfully carry on a relationship with Daniel, while still harboring feelings for Jack (Greg Finley). Wait, not just harboring feelings — acting on those feelings. Daniel wasted no time dumping Grace, prompting her to enroll in summer school with Adrian (Francia Raisa) for some reason. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t follow the logic with that one.

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang faced the consequences of their partner-swapping actions, as their lives have become nothing short of a sexual square dance. Madison (Camille Winbush) officially un-BFF’d that slut Madison (Renee Olstead); Alice (Amy Rider) told Ben (Ken Baumann) that Henry (Allen Evangelista) slept with his wife; and Adrian — well — she tried to date two brothers at once. And one of them was Bow Wow.

But the ultimate act of stupidity came courtesy of Ben , who got caught smoking pot with Dylan (Ana Lucasey) and her gaggle of bizarrely eclectic girlfriends. Mind you, I’m not call him stupid for trying pot — I’m calling him stupid for doing it in his house, while his dad was home! Ben… sweet, sweet Ben… If you’re going to be on a show with “secret” in the title, you should probably think about occasionally locking your bedroom door.

Of course, there’s always been one Secret Life character you can count on to be the voice of reason in a world of insanity — and that’s Ashley (India Eisley). Amy’s snarky little sis returned from her big trip this week, only to announce she got into college early and will be taking off in the fall. But not before calling Ricky’s (Daren Kagasoff) proposal “embarrassing” and mocking Amy for thinking her life is perfect when, in reality, it’s pretty much a hot mess.

Will Grace (Megan Park) finally join The Secret Life of the American Teenager‘s young moms club? We’ll find out when the show returns with new episodes March 26, but for now, Megan tells HollywoodLife.com there’s plenty to look forward to. ”It gets so juicy,” Megan reveals. “Things will happen in Grace’s life that you never thought you’d see happen. This is probably the biggest season for Grace, in terms of life-changing events — except for maybe when her dad passed away. But this is the second biggest event.”

Megan also promises plenty of “surprises,” which leads me to wonder if a reunion with Jack (Greg Finley) is in the cards! They did, after all, recently share a kiss.

“There will definitely be developments” on the Grace-Jack front, Megan says, “and I’m glad because I love working with Greg.”

ABC Family viewers are used to seeing Megan Park play the good girl – minus that one time she inadvertently killed her on-screen dad by having “incredible” pre-marital sex on The Secret Life of the American Teenager – but they’re in for a big surprise Jan. 22 when A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song premieres, finding Megan in full-on villain mode. “I’m excited for people to see me do something different,” Megan tells HollywoodLife.com. “I haven’t played this kind of role in a while.”

In the third installment of the Cinderella Story franchise, Megan plays the conniving Beverly Ravensway, who takes advantage of her vocally-gifted stepsister (Lucy Hale) with the help of her equally devilish mother (Missi Pyle.) Megan tells us she had an incredible experience working with both ladies.

“I’m literally obsessed with her,” she says of Missi, who couldn’t be any less like her character. “We’ve become really close. She’s sort like my mom here in LA, not that she’s old enough to be my mom in real life. I’ve learned so much from her in terms of comedy and I really respect her. Plus, she’s hot and fit and tall and beautiful! She’s so inspiring.”

And even though Megan had fun messing with fellow ABC Family star Lucy in the movie, she says they’ve actually been friends for years!

“We actually met in the audition room for Secret Life way back in the day, which is weird,” Megan says. “I ended up doing Secret Life and she ended up doing Pretty Little Liars at the same time, so we were just really happy for each other. And when we met up again in Wilmington [where A Cinderella Story filmed] we instantly bonded. She’s just really easy to get along with. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who doesn’t like her.”

That makes two of us!

I’d like to end by pointing out that, even though Megan’s character can’t sing — like, at all — in the movie, the girl’s got quite a set of pipes in real life.

“I do sing,” she admits. “I enjoy it. I’m such a musical theater dork, so any opportunity to do stuff like that in the future, I will try to do.”
