Move over, Jersey Shore, watch my new favorite Jersey girls from the Style Network’s Jerseylicious give me a totally tan-tastic makeover!

Have you caught a glimpse of the craziness that is the Style Network’s new show, Jerseylicious yet? If you have, you’ll understand why I was so excited for three of its stars, Alexa Prisco, Briella Calafiore and Olivia Blois Sharpe to pay me a visit and transform me from a flat-haired, no makeup wearing, pale girl into a teased tresses, smoky eyed, bronzed Jersey goddess.

Alexa, a makeup artist known as New Jersey’s Glam Fairy, brought two of her helper fairies and Jerseylicious co-stars, makeup artist Olivia and hair stylist Briella along with her to help in my total overhaul. Let me tell you, these girls worked a miracle. Just wait till you see them whip me into smoky eyed perfection!

Having only watched them on TV doing their thing at the Gatsby Salon, I’m not going to lie, I was a little nervous about what to expect from them. Olivia and Alexa are portrayed as bitchy rivals on the show. In real life, they respect eachother’s work and get along really, really well. (Olivia is even working as a glam fairy for Alexa now!) We’re led to believe that BFFs Briella and Olivia are total airheads. But, in person, they’re totally sweet and hilarious. Let me tell you, I have not laughed so much at work as I did the two hours these girls were in the office. And yes, it really did take me almost an hour and a half to be madeover. It’s not easy work being a glammed out Jersey girl!

So, what did I learn from my transformation?

• Never walk around midtown Manhattan at lunch hour in the winter with a smoky eye, shimmery bronzer and teased hair if you don’t want to be stared at.
• Jersey girls know how to get attention, and it’s kind of amazing.
• Don’t believe what you see on TV. Alexa, Olivia and Briella are all really talented, super friendly and absolutely hysterical.
• With enough bronzer in the hollows of your cheeks, everyone can have fierce cheekbones.
• With the right amount of makeup and hairspray I can look like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez’s New Jersey love child.

Watch this video to learn how to get Jennifer Lopez’ soft and messy Oscar bun!

You probably know Ted Gibson as the makeover guru from TLC’s What Not To Wear or as the hands behind the hair of celebs like Ashley Greene and Kate Gosselin. I know Ted as the man who said I have the same bone structure as Jennifer Lopez. Needless to say his blatant lie made my week. Ok, my year. Although Ted couldn’t completely transform me into Jennifer, he was able to give me a perfect replica of Jennifer’s simple, yet totally chic messy bun. I couldn’t have been happier with my new ‘do! Check out the video for Ted’s step-by-step instructions!

To add volume and texture to my fine hair, Ted started by saturating my strands with Hairsheet Styling. Then, he blow dried two inch sections while twirling it with his fingers to build up texture. Instead of backcombing to add volume, Ted used his fingers to gently “back finger” the crown area. Using a bungee elastic, he pulled my hair into a high pony and blasted it with Beautiful Hold Hairspray for even more texture. To make an even bigger bun, he rolled the pony onto itself and secured with ridged hairpins. Voila! It really didn’t take that long to do and I was even able to recreate it the next day myself and so can you! – Marta Topran

	Britney Spears Britney Spears — she’d absolutely be the best person to be on Glee! She was great guest starring on How I Met Your Mother and Will & Grace. She’s funny, she’s talented and she can certainly relate to Dianna Agron‘s pregnant cheerleader character, Quinn Fabray.
	Beyoncé I want to see Beyoncé on Glee. I feel my reasoning is obvious … She’s freaking BEYONCE. Even the thought of it overwhelms me so much I’m at a loss for words.
	Zac Efron I have to admit I haven’t watched a lot of Glee, but I’d tune in if Zac Efron was on it! The glee club already has football players — why not add a jazz-handing basketball star into the mix?
	Ashley Tisdale I can’t think of a better person than Ashley Tisdale! Her High School Musical character and Lea Michele‘s Glee character are practically the same person! Can you imagine their diva-off?
	Kristen Stewart I want to see Kristen Stewart on Glee! She could play a mean punk girl who secretly loves singing show tunes.
	Joseph Gordon-Levitt Not only does he have the comedic wit to spar with Jane Lynch, but did you see Joseph Gordon-Levitt sing and dance when he hosted SNL this season? Ryan Murphy, get him on the show!
