Arnold Schwarzenegger Still Loves Maria Shriver, Wants Reconciliation

Arnold is still trying to hang on to his marriage with Maria, telling a German magazine he still loves her! See what else he is saying after his cheating scandal.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is speaking to German magazine Bild about his marital woes with Maria Shiver. On Jan. 22, Arnold told the magazine, “We’re not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation. I still love Maria.” Do you think she will forgive him?

Maria filed for divorce back in 2011, after it was revealed that Arnold fathered a child with their nanny and maid Mildred Patricia Baena. Awkwardly, a source told HollywoodLife.com that Maria used to joke that Mildred’s son looked like Arnold!

He released a tell-all book called Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story in October 2012. While doing press for the book, he admitted, “It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.”

Maria Is Not Ready To Forgive

In January 2012, a report from Radar Online says Maria has no desire to get back together with Arnold.

“Maria has absolutely no plans to reconcile with Arnold. He was pressuring her during the holidays to get back together. They did spend a lot of time together during that time, but it was for the children only. They get along very well, but Maria can’t ever trust him again. Arnold begged for his forgiveness, and she did forgive him. This relationship comes down to the utter betrayal of trust, and she just can’t forget that.”

Shut up, Arnold! Or should I say — withdraw your book from store shelves now! Did you really need to hurt estranged wife Maria and your five kids even more by penning a book about your multiple cheating episodes and your love child?

Arnold Schwarzenegger – you are a wealthy, wealthy man. You didn’t need the millions you reportedly received for writing your new autobiography, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.

So why did you decide to reveal to the world new details about your years-long affair with the family housekeeper Mildred Baena in your new book?

Did the world really need to know that you finally confessed the affair to a devastated Maria Shriver during a couples counseling session?

Maria, the injured party, didn’t choose to share that intimate detail with the world. A total lady and role model at all times, Maria has never spoken publicly or written about the pain of your infidelities. No, that’s because she has her priorities right — her four children, and Joseph, your love child’s privacy.

Maria’s the one who could have written a sympathetic book about her struggles being YOUR supportive wife. But instead, she’s kept her lips zipped and dignity intact.

But you, on the other hand, have brought your hurtful betrayals back into the public’s eye in your book and new interviews. In a Sept. 30th 60 Minutes interview with Lesley Stahl, you talked about keeping the secret of your love child, Joseph, from Maria for years, while giving Mildred money on the side. “I’m going to fulfill my responsibilities,” you decided at the time.

Arnold Confesses To Another Affair behind Maria’s Back

You also admitted that you had a “hot affair” with actress Brigitte Nielson while you and Maria were living together before you were married. Oh, and you also told Stahl that you had “other affairs,” but they are “something that’s obviously between Maria and me.”

Well Arnold, if they were between Maria and you, as they should have been, then why are you talking about them on 60 Minutes and writing about them in a book that didn’t need to be written?

Arnold, since you didn’t need the money for Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, then the only reason that I can guess that you wrote it was purely to satisfy your gigantic ego.

Did you not think people were talking about you enough now that you’re back to being a mere Hollywood movie star and not the Governor of California?

Well, yes, you are back in the spotlight, Arnold, but it’s for all the wrong reasons.

Sharing Your Secrets About Affairs Is Cruel to Your Kids

If you’d kept your secrets to yourself, respected Maria and your kids and fulfilled your obligations to them, and to Joseph, your son by Mildred, then maybe you could have redeemed your image…in time. But you didn’t.

Now, there’s just one thing left for you to do — “Get to the chopper” and stay there!

Arnold Schwarzenegger: I Caused Maria Shriver ‘Tremendous Pain’

Arnold has admitted, for the first time, how badly he hurt Maria and their family, in a new interview! Read on for all the details.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has remained relatively quiet regarding the scandal that tore his marriage to Maria Shriver apart, but as the former governor of California has a new book to promote, he’s finally opening up on the pain he caused his family!

In an interview with 60 Minutes, set to air Sunday, Sept. 30, Arnold was asked by correspondent Lesley Stahl, “Was this just the most unbelievable act of betrayal to Maria?” Arnold, 65, replied, “I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.”

Arnold and Lesley are, of course, referring to the affair that Arnold had with housekeeper Mildred Baena that produced a son, Joseph, who is now a teenager. He writes about the affair in his new book, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, also revealing that he had a second affair during his 25-year marriage. He says that Maria hasn’t read the book.

In the interview, Arnold explained why he chose to open up about his indiscretions in the book. “[Maria] knows that it’s about my whole life and that I would not write a book and kind of leave out that part and make people feel like, ‘Well, wait a minute. Are we just getting a book about his success stories and not talk about his failures?’” he says. “I wanted to write a book about me.”

The full interview airs Sunday at 7:00pm EST on CBS.

Oprah Winfrey Pleading With Maria Shriver To Join OWN Network

After axing Rosie O’Donnell’s talk show and laying off 30 employees, Oprah is hoping good friend Maria Shriver will save her faltering network.

Oprah Winfrey‘s OWN network is failing to launch, so after pulling Rosie O’Donnell‘s talk show due to low ratings just two days ago, she’s recruiting Maria Shriver to boost her lackluster ratings, reports RadarOnline.

“Oprah knows she needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat, literally,” a close source tells Radar. “She has been in discussions with Maria for a very long time about doing a news/special interest driven show for OWN. However, Oprah has ramped up the pressure in the past several weeks. Maria definitely wants to get back to work, but she has to make sure that it’s the right project.”

Considering Maria still has to attend to her 15-year-old son Christopher in Los Angeles, she won’t be interested in carrying her own talk show, says the source. However, doing specials for OWN aren’t out of the question.

“Oprah called Maria recently, and said in her most serious voice, ‘Look Maria, I’m sinking, and I need you to do a reality show for OWN.’ She carried on for 2-3 minutes about what the show would be called. Oprah is quite the actress, and Maria was just silent, and Oprah eventually burst out laughing, and said, ‘Ha, I had you, didn’t I? I would never ask you to do a reality show, but if that shouldn’t stop you from volunteering to do it,’” the insider tells the site.

As much as Maria would like to help the 58-year-old former talk show queen, she has to weigh her options.

“Maria just can’t give Oprah an answer yet,” the source confides. “She has been offered book deals and several offers from the major networks. Maria needs to do what is best for her, and she just doesn’t know if working for her close friend is a good idea; she values her friendship with Oprah so much. Oprah was Maria’s first non-Kennedy friend that she ever made when she was a young adult. Maria will choose her friendship over work.”

The estranged couple are reportedly seeking couples counseling and trying to make their marriage work. Should Maria take Arnold back after her cheated on her for almost their entire marriage?

Maria Shriver has a heart of gold! The New York Post is reporting that Maria, a devout Catholic, can’t bring herself to divorce her husband of 25 years Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Arnold and Maria are having marriage counseling to work through their issues to get back together,” a source says. “He is promising the moon and telling Maria he has completely changed his ways. Maria’s friends are warning her to be careful, saying he’ll never change.”

Maria, 56, dumped Arnold, 64, after she learned he had fathered a child with their longtime housekeeper Mildred Baena and that he had been cheating on her for years.

“Arnold is desperate to win her back, mostly because he realizes he can’t live without her, and partly because he doesn’t have the political clout without her,” the source adds. “Winning her back would be the best way to show the world he has been forgiven for his transgressions.”

Arnold and Maria have been spotted out shopping and eating with their four children over the past several weeks.

Maria Shriver doesn’t want her cheating husband back. In fact, RadarOnline.com is reporting that Maria has every intention of following through with her and Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s divorce.

“Maria has absolutely no plans to reconcile with Arnold. Maria Shriver & Arnold Schwarzenegger Want Marriage Counseling, Says Insider

As HollywoodLife.com first told you, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger are in the process of reconciling their marriage — and are even prepared to enlist professional help

Even though Arnold Schwarzenegger had a multiple decade-long affair with his housekeeper, Mildred Baena, his estranged wife, Maria Shriver, loves the former California governor enough to reconcile — but an insider close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com it’s going to take some mediation from an outside source.

“Maria and Arnold are totally on board to go to marriage counseling,” the source says of the 64-year-old actor-turned-politician and his wife. “In fact, they may have even started the process.”

So why would Maria, 56, forgive Arnold for what he did to her and her family?

“They have been through so much together and even after everything, she still loves him,” our insider explains. ”Plus, Arnold would like nothing more then to save the marriage and has worked with Maria to make things better.”

As we told you last week, Arnold and Maria’s kids have also had much to do with their reconciliation.

Katherine Schwarzenegger tweeted about her family reuniting for the holidays. “Merry merry Christmas everyone!! So thankful for my family an friends and being able to spend the whole day with them! Feeling blessed,” Katherine tweeted on Twitter Dec. 25.

It’s not supposed to be something that’s just a fabulous wedding party and then easily discarded after 72, or 18 days, or even just a year!

What is going on in Hollywood? 2011 has been the year of considering marriage a joke among many celebrities. British songstress Sinead O’Connor just announced she’s ending her marriage to Barry Herridge, the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer, after just 18 days of wedded life. Meanwhile, Katy Perry was spotted on a remote beach in Kauai without her husband Russell Brand or her wedding ring on Dec. 26 AND she only just celebrated her first wedding anniversary on Oct. 23.

Just a year ago, Katy and Russell had a HUGE wedding, complete with elephants walking down the red carpet and a Bollywood-themed party in India.

Kim Kardashian, of course, infamously filed for divorce from Kris Humphries 72 days after her $10 million “fairytale” wedding replete with three Vera Wang wedding dresses.

Then there was Ashton Kutcher, who threw discretion out the window and allegedly brazenly bedded blonde Sarah Leal on his sixth wedding anniversary. Then he seemed clueless as to why then-wife Demi Moore, didn’t want to stay in the marriage.

Of course, how can celebrities possibly take marriage seriously when the ex-Governor of the state of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was discovered having an affair this year with the family’s housekeeper, Mildred Baena and it turned out that he fathered her son, Joseph, now 13?

From Tiger Woods to Jesse James, who cheated on Sandra Bullock repeatedly right under her nose, to Kobe Bryant to Kelsey Grammer, who actually secretly lived with his mistress in New York City for months before informing his wife, Camille, that he wasn’t into their marriage anymore — celebs have repeatedly made a mockery out of marriage.But Katy, Kim, Sinead, Kelsey, Ashton and Arnold, just think about this — no one FORCED you to get married. You didn’t have to tie the knot. And you shouldn’t have said marriage vows if you didn’t fully intend to stay married …without any mistresses — until your last day on Earth.

Marriage is meant to be the ultimate commitment. You’re signing up to be a partner and BFF for life. That’s supposed to benefit YOU! It’s also supposed to benefit any children you may have, by giving them the emotional and financial security they deserve.

Instead, you all decided other things — whether they were women or fame or fun, were more important than deep loyal love and commitment.

Now, even though Arnold Schwarzenegger behaved abominably to Maria, I have to commend him for refusing to throw in the towel on his marriage. He apparently is working hard on being a different, non-cheating Arnold and is laboring to win Maria back. Likewise, I commend Maria for considering taking him back.

My point is: Maria and now Arnold do realize that marriage and family are not jokes. Their four children will be happier and better off if Arnold can mend his ways and he and Maria can be together.

I’ve been married (shockingly) for 28 years and I can sure tell you that it’s very worthwhile to stick it out.

So Katy and Russell — are you sure you should throw in the towel after a year? Did your love really evaporate that quickly? Are you sure that with compromise, you can’t work it out? Sinead — I don’t know what to say to you…and Kim, your decision appears to be firm.

But maybe Katy and Russell — there is still hope. Remember, marriage is commitment, not a joke!
