The comedian comes back on the offensive after Bristol claims she perpetuated lies about her and her family!

Bristol Palin may have thought she had the last word after penning a very long letter responding to her Dancing With the Stars cast mate Margaret Cho‘s claims she was forced to go on the show by her parents, but that is not turning out to be the case. Margaret took to her twitter to respond to Bristol’s gay joke that the comedian would, “embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert,” saying; “Must write song ‘embrace me’ with kd lang and indigo girls. Must!!!!!!!”

Margaret also managed to sneak in a dig at the family she heard from a friend; “From jim short: These famewhoring Palins need to be renamed The Alaskardashians.”

The comedian continues to not back down from her claims that Bristol was guilted into being on the program after her teen pregnancy reportedly ruined her mother’s vice presidential bid. “The only reason bristol is so freaked out and everyone is asking me to retract what I said is because they know its true,” she said.

After Margaret claimed Bristol was forced to appear on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ by mom Sarah Palin, the single mother responds in a lengthy open letter but closes with a gay joke — was it really a joke or an insult?

It appears that once again the Palin family is having trouble discerning between what is and is not acceptable to say on Facebook. This time it is Bristol Palin who in an open letter to her Dancing With the Stars cast mate Margaret Cho explained that if the comedian and actress could just see how common sense her family’s conservative values were she would, “embrace us faster than KD Lang at an Indigo Girls concert.” Margaret is an open bisexual while KD and Amy Ray and Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls are open lesbians.

Also in the letter is Bristol’s response to what she claims is false information dispensed by Margaret. While Margaret said Sarah Palin forced her daughter to go on the show to gain media coverage and make-up for ruining the 2008 election for her, Bristol said none of these facts were true. She claims she was approached herself and her parents played no role in forcing her on the program. She also stated, “Anyone who watched the show could tell I performed better, and I felt better about myself, when they were in the audience. I wanted to make them both proud, but politics had nothing to do with it. Loving my parents had everything to do with it.”

As for her gay quip, while not as harsh as sister Willow’s decidedly homophobic rant in defense of her mom, it does seem to be a bit of a dig at bisexual Margaret, who is in fact currently married to a man.

Despite having the lowest scores this week on ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ Kyle Massey and Bristol ‘The Pistol’ Palin were saved from elimination!

We gotta hand it to 76-year-old Florence Henderson for staying in the dancing game so long! She managed to make it four toe-tapping weeks, beating out fellow contestants David Hasslehoff, Margaret Cho and Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, before she took her last bow on the results show Oct. 19.

Florence and partner Corky Ballas‘ elimination isn’t a complete shock, but we do feel bad she was canned after her Oct. 18 performance DTWS judge, Len Goodman called “Her best dance of the competition.” Could it be her over-sexed image  was too much for America to handle?

What we’re scratching our heads about is how the bottom two scorers were reprieved from elimination. Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin were considered likely to wind up in the bottom three after their underwhelming performances. Bristol especially, who has been a regular in the bottom three. I think we’re going to credit her ridiculous gorilla costume for her pass to next week’s show.

Fans weren’t feeling their usual favorites, Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough who also landed in the bottom three with NBA star Rick Fox and partner Cheryl Burke.

For her part, Florence handled her elimination with grace and let everyone know how much she treasured her time on the show.

“I have been in TV for over 50 years I have to say in all honesty this is one of the best produced shows I have ever been on,” she said. “I’ve loved this show since it began. I hope I’ve inspired people to get up off their behind and move and dance and have fun. I feel like I have grown as a person and a performer. I feel like a kid again!”

Aww Flo, we’re sorry to see you go, but you definitely danced your way into our hearts!

It was a close call on Dancing with the Stars Oct. 5 — but ultimately, Margaret Cho was voted off and Bristol Palin is safe for another week! Wahoo!

Sadly, my irrational dislike for Brandy didn’t hold true for the rest of the Dancing with the Stars audience and the pop star was never in danger of getting cut on the results show Oct. 5. That said, if anyone deserved to get the boot, it was Margaret Cho — and thankfully, America chose to discontinue her dancing career.

The 41-year-old comedian received an 18 out of 30 for her dance the night before, which was the lowest score of the evening, but she thought the judges were too harsh.

“I think they were hard on me because they know I’m a real dancer and I appreciate that,” she admitted (delusional much?). Her dance pro partner, Louis van Amstel, agreed and said he loved her and would miss her.

Also on the chopping block were “Bristol The Pistol” Palin and her delightful Mark Ballas, who received a 19 out of 30. Luckily, Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke were only toying with our delicate emotions and “the teen advocate” was actually safe. What a relief — what would we have to talk about if Bristol wasn’t on the show? It’d be a tragedy!

It doesn’t matter if you’re conservative or liberal, it’s obvious Bristol Palin is sloppy and dull on Dancing with the Stars…but I don’t want to see her go just yet!

Even though my gal, Bristol the Pistol was uninspiring in her Foxtrot to Bruno Mars‘ “Just the Way You Are,” I still don’t want to see her go! I’d rather watch her pretend to dance with a homeless guy (who her partner, Mark Ballas, played tonight) than suffer through another one of Margaret Cho’s tragedies any day! The theme for the third week’s performances Oct. 4 was “Storytelling,” and without further ado, here are the most memorable moments:

• Derek Hough and Jennifer Grey were ROBBED by the judges! Jennifer, 50, looked like a pro and the judges gave her 24/30. Laaaame. Team Jennifer ALL THE WAY!

• Cheryl Burke and Rick Fox‘s double-shimmy during his sexy Latin-inspired Samba made me giddy. Double-shimmies are fantastic, but when you’re 6’7″, they are that much better.

• Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino pulled at my heart strings. He’s trying so hard to be good…how can you not love him? GTL quote of the night: “You can’t fist pump if you don’t know the beat!”

• Margaret Cho is funny in her stand up routines, but when it comes to dancing, she needs to retire. Thankfully with a score of 18 out of 30, the decision might be made for her tomorrow night.

• Tom Bergeron is single-handedly the cheesiest host on television, but in this episode he had some real zingers. My personal favorite? When he compared the fog machine to the smoke monster on Lost — brilliant!

• Disney channel star, Kyle Massey and his partner, Lacey Schwimmer are unofficially my favorite team of the season. Between his upbeat attitude and their incredible chemistry — plus his SHAZAM! stage presence — I’m in love. End of story. Kyle Massey (or Jennifer Grey) for the WIN!What did you guys think? Jennifer Grey is currently the best performer on Dancing with the Stars — but someone may just be about to steal her thunder!

The first week of Dancing with the Stars is usually a hot mess, especially because the contestants are still trying to find their footing on the dance floor. And while some of this season’s performers ARE improving, some are just getting worse! So who’s winning the MVP award on the second week of season 11, and who’s about to rhumba their way right off the show? Read on, BFFs!

“The Situation has improved drastically,” a DWTS source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “He’s really gotten so much better since last week.”

Although former Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey is widely assumed to be the show’s best hoofer, there are two contestants that may just steal her Dancing Queen title. “Kurt Warner and Brandy were the best in rehearsals,” the source confides to us.

But who will be following in David Hasslehoff’s two-left-footsteps this week, and may be the second contestant to leave the ABC show? “If you thought Bristol Palin was bad last week, just wait until you see her performance this week!” our inside declared, adding, “Margaret Cho and Rick Fox were also pretty terrible.”

When it comes to choosing songs for Dancing with the Stars, there’s no such thing as a coincidence. TMZ is reporting that Bristol Palin will channel her romance with Levi Johnston on Sept. 27 as she and partner Mark Ballas do the quickstep to Diana Ross & The Supremes‘ “You Can’t Hurry Love.” We’re only two weeks in and it’s already clear: Bristol is so this season’s Kate Gosselin.

Here’s the complete list of songs and dances that will be used on the Sept. 27 episode:

1. Rick Fox and partner Cheryl Burke will do the jive to ZZ Top‘s “Tush”

We were surprised when the Hoff was voted off in the first round — and apparently so were you!

While many of you believe David Hasselhoff, 58, was the right one to go on the Sept. 21 episode of Dancing with the Stars, a whopping 35 percent of you told HollywoodLife.com that funny girl Margaret Cho, 41, should have been ousted in his place! They both tied Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino for last place with an embarrassing 15 points, but in the end it was the former Baywatch star who had to pack up his dancing shoes and say goodbye. Do YOU think it was fair?
