Chelsea Clinton and hubby Marc Mezvinsky have been married for almost an entire year, but they still seem completely in love! The happy twosome was spotted enjoying a romantic evening in New York City as they attended the opening of Shakespeare in the Park in Central Park. What a cute date night!

They weren’t the A-list names on hand for the performance that evening, with Liev Schriber and Naomi Watts, Lauren Ambrose and Audra McDonald among the other theatergoers that evening.

Forget the divorce rumors — Chelsea is planning kids with husband Marc Mezvinsky!

Chelsea Clinton wants to start a family — even after reports of trouble in her marriage to Marc Mezvinsky popped up within months of their wedding last year. Team Chelsea quickly denied the claims, and now the former First Daughter reveals she wants to have kids!

Chelsea, 31,  let slip her family plans at a pro-gay marriage event in New York.

“As a New Yorker who not that long ago got married in New York to her best friend … I certainly believe that all of my friends should have the right, as Marc and I did, to marry their best friend,” she says, ”I certainly expect my straight friends to help us achieve that for all New Yorkers, for all Americans, and for the children that, at least, Marc and I hope to have someday.”

Everything appeared to be rosy between Chelsea and Marc at the amfAR gala in New York just last night, but sources claim — shockingly, given the romance of their wedding — that Marc thinks marriage was a “mistake.” And that’s just the beginning.

“Marc pretty much told her he does not see kids in his future,” a source tells Star. “Chelsea was absolutely crushed; she’s dying to be a mom. But it’s just too much responsibility for him. He can’t even handle being married, so how the heck is he going to handle being a father.”

Sources reveal that the reason Marc quit his job as an investment banker and moved to the well known ski town was because he felt the marriage was a huge mistake.

“[Marc told Chelsea] He wanted to regain his freedom,” a source tells Star. “Marc struggled to explain that he made a mistake getting married because he simply wasn’t ready. He told her there was too much pressure. Then he left for the slopes.”

Even though Chelsea has visited Marc in Jackson Hole, a source says it wasn’t friendly. Marc reportedly never picks up Chelsea’s phone calls, and when he does … he says nothing, so she flew out there to confront him.

“It basically ended in a screaming match,” a source says of Chelsea’s visit. “Chelsea left feeling very much alone and brokenhearted.”

But keep in mind, Chelsea and Marc were spotted at a spin class on Feb. 5, and eating lunch at Fig & Olive later that day, not including their united front at the amFar gala last night.

The New York Post reports, “The pair were photographed leaving spin studio Soul Cycle in Union Square on Saturday morning. Later that day, the two were spotted having lunch at Fig & Olive on Lexington Avenue near 63rd, with another couple.” Looks like their life is just like every other couple!

Flags were raised when it was reported Marc had left his high profile job at 3G Capital to go on an extended ski vacation in Wyoming — sans wife Chelsea! The situation was quickly remedied however when Marc returned to NYC just days later to be with his new bride!

After less than six months of marriage, Marc Mezvinsky has his wife Chelsea Clinton and his job to ski in Wyoming for the winter. Is his marriage in trouble?

Warning: if your man doesn’t want to be around you, your relationship may be in a wee spot of trouble. Make that man your husband of just over six months, and you should be wiping some serious sweat off your brow. That said, you might want to show some sympathy to Chelsea Clinton, whose new husband, Marc Mezvinsky has ditched her and his high-profile job to become a ski bum for the winter!

There are problems here on so many levels it isn’t even funny — the biggest being that Marc seems to be having a midlife crisis in his early thirties. He’s traded in his stressful full-time hedge fund position at G3 to be a vagabond skier without a care in the world other than whether or not he’ll get fresh powder on his morning run.

Although Marc’s situation has nothing to do with Chelsea, it also has everything to do with her. Not only is she supporting her man’s life change decision, she’s also meeting a new guy from the one she fell in love with, one whose ambition and drive has gone right out the window. Not only that, but Marc hasn’t made the effort required of a newlywed – she’s the one who’s made all the effort by visiting him in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Many men who spend their free time skiing or snowboarding have what I like to call “lost boy syndrome.” They don’t want to grow up or take responsibility for their actions. The fact that Marc traded in his structured life to be a wanderer is the perfect example of said affliction, and my prediction is that Chelsea will only be able to deal with this for so long before she packs it in.

But I digress. No, it is not OK to spend a lengthy amount of time away from your man. Whether it be a new relationship or one you’ve had for years, long distance love is nearly impossible. If you are forced to spend time apart because of a job relocation or something similar, both you and your boyfriend/husband need to make the effort to make it work: meaning, Marc needs to stick the skis in the snow and man up and take the occasional turn in the visitation cycle. He’s got a wife waiting for him back east, and she won’t wait forever…

Psychologists reveal absence doesn’t make the heart grow fonder in cases like Chelsea and Marc’s!

They might be in it for the long haul, but Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky aren’t helping their marriage by being away from each other! We told you how Marc reportedly left his job at NYC-based hedge fund G3 Capital and moved to the popular ski resort Jackson Hole, after just tying the knot with Chelsea this past summer. HollywoodLife.com found this to be quite odd, so we consulted with two experts who agreed — leaving your brand new wife for months on end is no good!

“For newly weds to be apart for extended periods of time is not thought of to be healthy,” Dr. Harris B. Stratyner, a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine says. “Usually, it is a time when people are trying to establish a pattern and continue a pattern to be together want to be together.”

Even though Chelsea has been flying out to see her hubby in Wyoming as often as she can, our other expert echoes Dr. Stratyner’s opinion.

“This is definitely a bad sign,” Beverly Hills psychologist Dr. Carole Lieberman says. “He seems to be struggling under the pressure of being a husband, especially knowing that Chelsea wants a baby … The first year of marriage is supposed to continue the honeymoon as long as possible.”

It looks like newlywed bliss for Chelsea Clinton‘s hubby Marc Mezvinsky may be fading — he has left his job at a NYC- based hedge fund, G3 Capital, and has moved out west to ski! Sources tell the New York Post that Marc, “left his position right before the holidays and took off for Jackson Hole.” What?!

Chelsea has apparently been flying out to Wyoming to visit her ski bunny hubby every few weeks but this behavior does seem a bit odd for a recently married couple. The pair tied the knot in a beautiful and lavish ceremony in Rhinebeck, NY on July 31, 2010. One would think a husband would choose his wife over a desire to hit the slopes, especially in their first year of marriage.

It is uncertain how long Marc will be chasing the powder or when he will return to his job at G3 Capital. Luckily for Marc, the Clinton women tend to be very forgiving of the men in their lives.

If there really are no problems between the new couple maybe this getaway is simply a final hurrah before America’s royal family welcomes a new heir!
