Mel Gibson may be a bad husband and a pretty awful boyfriend but we’ve always believed he was a good father… until now.

Mel Gibson‘s ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, claims in new court papers that Mel was so desperate to get outside for a cigarette that he precariously propped up their 2-month-old baby, Lucia, on some pillows on a table and left her alone while he satisfied his craving. The baby then allegedly slid off the table and onto the floor! “So literally she was sitting on a slide on top of the table,” Oksana said. “I think he went to have a smoke and she slid down.” Oksana says that Mel was upset after the incident and claims that Lucia cried for 20 minutes after the fall.

“I looked at her bruises — not bruises but the bump on her front and the bump on her back, back of the head and the front of the head and analyzed that — but she looked focused. After initial shock of crying and, of course, I consoled her and she stopped crying eventually,” Oksana said.

She added that the baby had to be treated by a doctor “because Mel dropped her and she needed to be seen by [a] chiropractor.”

Yikes! All parents make mistakes, but would you leave your newborn baby lying on a table while you went outside to have a cigarette?

Mel, 54, and Oksana, 40, have been battling for custody of Lucia since they split earlier this year. The Hollywood star was accused of hitting Oksana during a heated argument in January, while she was holding the baby in his arms.

“You hit me and you hit [Lucia] while she was in my hands! Mel, you’re losing your mind.
You need medication,” Oksana said in a taped conversation with the Oscar-winning actor, who has seven older children with his ex-wife, Robyn.

The Department of Children and Family Services is continuing to investigate both parents.

We find it a little hard to believe after listening to his countless taped rants, but the Department of Child and Family Services says that Mel has a good relationship with his 8-month-old daughter, Lucia.

The physical threats, the misogynistic, racist curse words, the barely controlled rage… We’ve heard all this and more on the Mel Gibson tapes, which makes us wonder if the Oscar winner could be anything but a danger to his daughter with estranged lover Oksana Grigorieva. But the DCFS, which launched an investigation into Mel, after the tapes first surfaced, has concluded that any issues Mel might have with his 40-year-old baby mama don’t extend to his daughter.

“The Department of Children and Family Services believes Mel has a wonderful relationship with his infant daughter Lucia,” a source close to the actor told RadarOnline. DCFS visited Mel at his home last week and determined that he is an excellent father who has a strong relationship with Lucia. This means that Mel is in no danger of losing access to her and that DCFS believes Lucia is safe with him.

“They have a very healthy father-daughter relationship,” the source said. “He is very involved with her. Mel is a great father to her and this is why there have been no changes as far as his visits with her are concerned.”

It’s the first good news in a while for Mel, who is being investigated by the L A. County Sheriff’s Department on domestic violence charges, and has seen what’s left of his career collapse in the wake of his outrageous behavior since he allegedly hit Oksana on January 6.

Not that we would question the wisdom of an organization like the DCFS (which has pledged to monitor the ongoing custody battle and will conduct more interviews with people connect to the caring of Lucia), but do we really believe that someone as volatile as Mel Gibson has been lately should be taking care of an infant? Especially an infant whose mom is pressing charges against him?

Mel Gibson is at it again! In the seventh leaked Mel rant, the self-proclaimed devout Catholic screams incredibly angry and jealous insults at his baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva! In the most recent audio released by RadarOnline.com, Mel goes off in a tangent about Oksana’s former lover, actor Timothy Dalton. ”Did you get my last message about me being a bad father, and Tim being a great dad now?” screams Mel. “You didn’t hear that one? Well, you should go and f*ck  [Tim] you know, you fickle c*nt, because I don’t care.”

Oksana and Timothy have one son together, 12-year-old Alexander, and Mel tells Oksana to have sex with Timothy in front of Alex.

“The game’s over,” yells an enraged Mel. “Okay. The game’s over. Let the new games begin so you can get it on with anybody else and your son can watch it. What is it? Number 45 he’s going to have to look at? F******g good.”

Mel then tells Oksana he wishes he never had a child with her: ”I’m so f*cking sorry I had a child with you … I despise you. I don’t want you back. You have proven yourself to me. You’re not the f*cking woman I want.”

Oksana tells authorities she was punched and choked by Mel during their January dispute just as newly released tapes have Mel admitting to hitting his newborn daughter.

The latest news in the Mel Gibson saga is perhaps the most harrowing as Oksana Grigorieva has told authorities Mel said he would kill her, himself, and their own daughter Lucia. Radar Online reports that after Mel punched her, “Oksana finally was freed from Mel’s grip and jumped up to leave but she says Mel then pulled a gun from the pocket of his short, pointed it at her head and threatened to kill her, Lucia and Sascha (Oksana’s son with Timothy Dalton), as well as himself, in an apparent murder-suicide plot.”

Oksana was attending her son’s basketball game and left Lucia with a nanny, causing Mel’s rage. When she returned home he punched her twice and the head and choked her as she was holding Lucia and her son watched on. Her son has been interviewed by child protective services and is a crucial witness in the case.

In a recorded conversation following the brawl Oksana tells Mel he needs help after hitting her and their daughter to which he replies, “ You need a f*cking kick up the a** for being a b*tch, c*nt, gold digging whore! With a p*ssy son! And I want my child, and no one will believe you! So f*ck you!”

This latest tape is the most damning for Mel as he seemingly admits to hitting his daughter.

It looks like Mel Gibson‘s recent troubles have driven him to put an ocean between himself and ex Oksana Grigorieva as he is quitting Hollywood and moving to Australia! The Daily Mail reports, “He has told friends that he will move back to Australia – where he grew up after moving from America when he was 12 – with his ex-wife Robyn, who still supports him.” It appears that Oksana’s recent allegations have actually managed to bring Mel and ex wife Robyn closer!

A source close to Robyn told the paper she, “persuaded him that he needs to get away from Hollywood and find peace on his ranch and she will go with him along with some of the children.” He has since sold his New York mansion and put his Malibu home on the market. In fact, he is so desperate to sell that he cut almost $15 million off the price of his New York residence! Rest easy however as the property still went for $24 million — wouldn’t want him to suffer financially!

Sources close to Oksana still maintain she is telling the truth though it will be interesting to see what happens to the custody of their daughter Lucia with the two living on different continents!

See the brutal photo of Oksana’s mangled face for the first time!

We’ve all heard Oksana Grigorieva‘s claims that Mel Gibson attacked her Jan. 6, leaving her with a concussion and broken teeth, but we haven’t had photographic evidence — until now. RadarOnline.com just published the shocking photo of Mel’s baby mama with chipped teeth and a clearly swollen face, allegedly caused by abusive Mel in a fit of rage. “Oksana lost a veneer and the right front tooth was severely chipped.” says a source close to the Oksana-Mel investigation.

But Oksana’s dentist, Dr. Ross Shelden, apparently doesn’t believe the disturbing injuries in the photo were caused by a punch to the mouth! Sources close to the dentist tell TMZ: “Dr. Shelden believes Oksana was struck in the left temple, which caused her to bite down so hard, one veneer was completely knocked out and another was damaged. The [medical] charts reflect that Oksana’s teeth were fully intact.”

Oksana originally told police that her teeth were damaged when Mel punched her in mouth Jan. 6. And while Dr. Shelden’s opinion is suspicious, Mel’s alleged attack is still yet to be proven. Whether or not Oksana’s injuries were in fact caused by Mel, it’s almost certain she will try to use the photo as evidence in court.

Mel Gibson better count his lucky stars! Although the disgraced actor has lost many fans and friends over his disgusting, abusive audio rants, the actor does have ONE person in his corner. The shocker? His sole supporter is estranged wife Robyn Gibson, whom he’s currently in the midst of divorcing!

Mel appeared in court today, July 15, to battle his baby mama Oksana Grigorieva for custody of their 8-month-old daughter, Lucia. The 40-year-old Russian pianist  alleges that Mel, 54, not  only threatened to kill her and punched out her two front teeth during a Jan. 6 altercation, but also abused their daughter, who was only two months old at the time.

However damning Oksana’s testimony may be, having Robyn in his corner will definitely help Mel. According to TMZ, Robyn filed a 1-page declaration this morning stating that the Australian actor is a great dad.  “Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage,” she writes. “Mel was a wonderful and loving father.”

This declaration will be submitted to the LA County Sheriff’s Department to help Mel’s lawyers when they present their evidence to the deputies.

As HollywoodLife.com first reported, The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services has already started an investigation to make sure Oksana and Mel’s daughter is safe.

Mel Gibson tried to avoid a massive legal battle with baby mama Oksana Grigorieva by offering her $20 million, RadarOnline.com is reporting — but Oksana turned down his hush money because it would have meant having to agree to joint custody of their 8-month-old daughter, Lucia. “Mel was offering a deal that would have landed Oksana almost $20 million over her lifetime,” a source close to the couple tells the site. “But despite the inducement, she couldn’t bring herself to sign the final agreement.”

The source also says Oksana wants Mel to have as little to do with their daughter as possible. In fact, “Oksana thought that Lucia spending even 20 percent of her time with Mel was too much,” the source says. “And after the incident on January 6, she became convinced Mel was not fit to be alone with her.”

The situation with Mel gets more insane every day, and HollywoodLife.com told you yesterday that Mel’s racist and violent rants could land him in jail for 8 years!
