We spoke with the Atlanta beauty who exclaimed she’ll ‘definitely’ be on the upcoming season of Real Housewives but it turns out she’s not one of the actual housewives.

Lisa Wu, 38, has a budding career as an actress, director and author — and she’ll have plenty of time to cultivate her talents now that she won’t be a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. HollywoodLife.com ran into the mom of three Sept. 18 at Lenox Mall in Atlanta, Ga., and when we asked her about the upcoming season, she shocked/confused us by saying we’d be seeing her in season three.

“I’m still on Housewives,” she told us. “I have no idea how many episodes I’ll be on … but oh yeah, I’ll be on another season. But I’ve been doing interviews so who knows if I’ll be edited out.”

We weren’t exactly sure what that meant, but after looking at the cast photo which features two new housewives – Cynthia Bailey and  Phaedra Parks — in Lisa’s place, we weren’t sure if she would really be a part of the show.

HollywoodLife.com spoke to insiders close to the production of the show, and they revealed that Lisa will only have short cameos next season — and she’s NOT one of the main housewives!

“Lisa is no longer a Real Housewives of Atlanta staple,” the insider told us. “She is not a housewife on the show. She might be on a few episodes, but you won’t see her much at all.”

Aside from the show, Lisa is keeping busy with a new role in Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming film 6713 AND an upcoming book titled When The Cake Is Already Made.

To see what kind of role Lisa will play on the third season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, we’ll all just have to tune in Oct. 4!

Will you still watch the show if they go?

UPDATE: According to TMZ, one of the major issues between NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak and the producers of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” is the stars’ electric bills! The housewives are reportedly fuming that they have to pay the steep bills for the power used by the show’s crew. TV cameras and lights are serious energy suckers — and the money is coming right out of NeNe and Kim’s pockets! 

Say it isn’t so! What would you do if the two most watchable stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta up and left? Their onscreen sparring makes the show so juicy and watchable!

The diva-like demands (including an exorbitant amount of money to appear on the show) of Nene Leakes and Kim Zolciak are said to be too much for Bravo producers, who are quietly seeking out cheaper replacements for the ladies, claims the NY Daily News.

“Bravo has been taking meetings with some notable and wealthy Atlanta woman about possibly joining the show,” a source tells the newspaper. “They’re trying their best to keep the process under wraps, but they’re gearing up to make a major move in the third season.”

Although a Bravo rep tells HollywoodLife.com that “they can neither confirm or deny what will happen Season 3”, the network is reportedly searching for a sixth socialite to replace our two favorite ladies and join the ranks of Kandi Burruss, Sheree Whitfield and Lisa Wu. And if these names sound unfamiliar to you, it’s because Nene and Kim are literally the cat-fighting hearts and souls of the program.
