Lindsay Lohan voluntarily checked herself into rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Racho Mirage, Calif., Sept. 27, after much speculation over where she would go. The 24-year-old fallen starlet is attempting to cure her self-proclaimed drug and alcohol addiction at the famous facility and according to TMZ she will stay in rehab until her probation hearing Oct. 22.

We told you that Lindsay was looking at rehab facilities in the Orange County area, and we believe she’s made the best decision in choosing this long-time center. Betty Ford’s website states that their inpatient 30 day program costs $26,000 and adheres to the 12-step program.

Lindsay will live in “gender-specific” rooms, on their 20-acre campus and she’ll be assigned a nurse, psychologist, counselor, case manager, spiritual care counselor, family counselor, dietitian, fitness trainer, and chemical dependency technician.

Many famous celebs have checked into this facility: Keith Urban, Tom Arnold, Johnny Cash, Ozzy Osbourne, Anna Nicole Smith, and David Hasselhoff.

This will be Lindsay’s fifth time in rehab — we just hope it works!

When Lindsay’s Inferno director, Matthew Wilder, tried to visit her in the slammer last Saturday, he was turned away because she had used up all her visits!

Despite her jailbird status, Lindsay Lohan is still one popular girl! In fact, so many pals have come to visit her at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, Calif. that they’re being turned away – including the director of her most recent film!

Matthew Wilder tells RadarOnline that he was banned from visiting his Lilo, who plays porn star Linda Lovelace in his upcoming film, Inferno, when he came calling on July 24. “I went down to Lynwood and filled in all the paperwork and waited in line for about 45 minutes only to be told at the last minute that I could not see her because she had used up all her visits. I immediately called her assistant, Eleanor, and she told me that she would in fact not be able to see anybody which was really frustrating.”

Even though his leading lady is in the tank through the rest of July and still has to go to rehab for 90 days, Matthew is still aiming for a November start date to begin shooting Inferno.

“Hopefully, she can draw from her experiences and when she comes back from rehab she can shows everybody exactly what she can do,” says Matthew. “Despite everything we still have a lot of confidence in her and back her 100 percent for Inferno.”
