David Lauren, son of fashion icon Ralph Lauren, wed Lauren Bush, granddaughter of president George H. W. Bush, in a beautiful ceremony in Ridgeway, Colo. on Sept. 4.

David, 39, and Lauren, 27, wed at his ranch in a ceremony that mixed class with country charm, the New York Post reports. Guests included her uncle, former president George W. Bush.

Even though their families may not agree when it comes to politics they both share the same views on style!

Michelle Obama‘s outfits get as much attention as the First Lady herself, so before viewing the spring/summer 2011 Carolina Herrera collection sponsored by EFFEN vodka at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Sept. 13, we got the chance to chat with former presidents George H.W. Bush‘s granddaughter and George W. Bush’s niece, model Lauren Bush, where she weighed in on the First Lady’s fashionable choices!

“I think [her sense of style] is great, I think it’s wonderful that she’s supporting young designers I think thats very cool,” she said.

While she loves the way the First Lady is bringing exposure to emerging designers and is expanding the general public’s knowledge of the fashion world, at the end of the day she commends her for staying true to her personal taste. “I think each woman should wear what they feel comfortable in and what reflects their own personal style.”

While their families may have different views, Lauren, who says her style is definitely “more classic,” seems to have found a unifying factor! And as for the show, I wouldn’t be surprised if Michelle slipped into some of Herrera’s cocktail dresses — they were very classic and chic, just the way the First Lady likes to look.
