Laura Dern and Ben Harper have been together since 2000 but unfortunately, after 12 years together and five years of marriage, they are breaking up. Ben, 42, filed for divorce in October 2010 but the couple reconciled again in February of this year.

Life & Style spoke with a friend of Laura’s, 45, who confirms they are splitting again. “They’ve called it quits for the second time. They came to this conclusion last month. It was handled with the utmost respect and love; there were no crazy fights.”

The actress and singer have two children: Ellery, 10 and Jaya, 7. Ben also has two kids from his previous marriage.

“When they got back together earlier this year, they were happy,” the source revealed. “There’s a lot of love there, and they both really wanted it to work, but they just couldn’t work out their differences. They couldn’t meet in the middle. Because of their kids, Laura wanted to handle this politely and with care. But I know she’s hurt because she really did love Ben a lot. It’s a sad time for her. She’s been leaning on friends for support. Both she and Ben are good people; there is no bad guy in this picture.”

Chelsea Handler calls Angelina Jolie “evil” on her late night talk show in support of BFF Jennifer Aniston. Girl fight!

Here’s one very big life lesson for Angelina Jolie: don’t mess with Jennifer Aniston, because her girl posse will attack!

Case in point, Chelsea Handler‘s anti-Angelina banter on her talk show August 18 – moments before her pal, Jen, 41, sat down for an interview. While reading from one of the tabloids, Chelsea mocked, “Angelina… it talks about how she’s so fun with her kids – all 18 of them…Exhibit A, she recently punked Maddox on the set of Salt.” Then, pretending to be Angie, she read, “‘He’s fascinated by the military, so I put on a NATO uniform and said, ‘Someone tell Mad there’s an officer here who wants to say hi.’”

The Chelsea Lately host then inserted her own take on the Angie-Maddox story, jibing,”What a fun mom! You are so fun kitty cat. You go girl!” before professing her TRUE feelings. “You’re evil and everyone knows it. Thank you for being here. We’re going to be right back with Jennifer Aniston.”

Chelsea, 35 is the latest celeb to join Jen’s gaggle of gals, who include Courteney Cox, Sheryl Crow, Laura Dern and yoga instructor Mandy Ingber. Angelina needs to watch out! The only posse she has to protect HER are her kids and partner Brad Pitt…and we all know hell hath no fury like a woman (and her BFFs) scorned!

Showing up unannounced on the ‘Friends’ set, Angelina Jolie laid the groundwork to gain Jennifer Aniston’s trust, and then steal her husband!

Angelina Jolie‘s affair with Brad Pitt may have come as a shock to the public, but according to Andrew Morton‘s new book on the actress, it was an even bigger shock to Brad’s then wife Jennifer Aniston! Angie showed up unannounced on the set of Friends before she and Brad began filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and Jen told Brad’s new costar, “Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time.”

Jen should have of course known better, especially since best friend Courteney Cox was one of the people who went to Billy Bob Thornton‘s house just a few years before to remove his girlfriend Laura Dern‘s possessions, after Angie stole Billy from her!

Another warning sign according to Andrew’s book was Angelina’s reliance on method acting during her shoots, meaning if she was in love with Brad in the movie, she would be in love with him on and off set for the entire 3 month shoot!

And the rest, as they say, is history.

Vanessa Paradis is saying “no way!” to Johnny & Angelina’s love scene in The Tourist!

With Angelina Jolie‘s history of hooking up with her taken co-stars, it’s no surprise that Vanessa Paradis doesn’t want her man, Johnny Depp, anywhere near the star!  Angelina and Johnny are currently filming The Tourist together in Venice, but according to The New York Post, Vanessa “ordered [Johnny]  to find another gig!”

Angelina co-starred with Billy Bob Thorton in Pushing Tin in 1999, when he was engaged to Laura Dern. By 2000, Angelina and Billy Bob were married in a quicky Las Vegas wedding.  And of course there was Brad Pitt, who was married to Jennifer Aniston — until he met Angelina on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith!

And now, even though Angelina and Brad are together, and even have six children together, Vanessa wants Johnny OUT of the The Tourist!

In the movie, Angelina plays an Interpol agent who seduces Johnny, a tourist, in order to find a former fling. But according to the Post report, when Vanessa found out that Johnny and Angelina were scheduled to “film a long and intense love scene,” she wanted him to quit the flick!

“But by all appearances, Depp has not been able to cut himself out of the shoot,” says the report. Johnny even agreed to leave the movie! “They’re talking about replacing him with Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio,” according to the Post.

Vanessa and Johnny have been together for 12 years, and they have two children together. So we don’t think Johnny would ever leave his lady … but then again, Angie’s powers of persuasion have proven to be pretty strong in the past!
