“Selena loved dissing Justin during Letterman,” a source close to Selena exclusively tells HollywoodLife.com. “She feels great these days, because she looks hot, and has a hot new movie Spring Breakers out, and she has had great success with the The Wizards Return. Everyone is rallying around her.”

There is no question that Selena is having a career high! The Wizards Return was the highest rated show on cable TV this year in it’s age group, while Spring Breakers is off to a promising start ahead of it’s March 22 release.

The source adds that Selena finally feels like she has become more successful than Justin, who is going through a tough time lately.

“Meanwhile, Justin is turning into Lindsay Lohan, what with all the partying and him canceling his concert. She feels that he has become less popular, and she’s just turning into a bad b*tch with world wide fans. She feels like she is on top of the world because she is.”

Selena really is having major success, while Justin has been having multiple problems on his world tour, including collapsing on stage in London and even lashing out at a photographer.

As previously reported by HollywoodLife.com, Selena broke up with Justin because of his friendship with Lil Twist, who she believed was a bad influence because of his love of partying.

Fans were divided over Selena’s jibe — some saw it as a funny and empowering, while many thought it was a cheap dig. Well, now we know Selena has no regrets!

Selena Gomez looked amazing as she arrived for her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in NYC on Mar. 18. Rhona Kane, Creative Director at Chicago’s famed Blowtique Salon, breaks Selena’s hair look down so you can re-create her look!

Selena Gomez’s Ponytail On David Letterman — Get Her Teased Pony

To get the look, you’ll need just a few things. A teasing comb (Rhona loves Spornette’s Little Wonder), a curling wand, Oribe’s Dry Texturing Spray, Oribe’s Superfine Strong Hair Spray, bobby pins and a hair tie!

Here’s Rhona’s step by step:

“Hint:  This look is easiest to execute on hair that hasn’t been freshly washed.

Step 1:  Apply Oribe’s “Dry Texturizing Spray” all over – don’t be afraid to work it into the roots!  This spray is great for three reasons:  1) It absorbs excess oil so your “poof” will last longer and be more resistant to going flat.  2) Its clean scent freshens up the hair.  3) It gives you loads of texture and added volume!

Step 2:  Add some body and curl to the ends of your hair by wrapping large sections around a curling wand.  This will give you the playful bouncy ponytail – just like Selena!

Step 3:  Section off your hair.  Grab the top portion, starting around the top of your ears or your temples, and pull aside to keep it out of the way.  Secure the bottom portion with a hair tie.

Step 4:  Tease the top!  Gently tease the top portion of your hair – the more you tease the more height you’ll get in the bouffant.  This is a great time to add more texture spray, and Superfine Strong hairspray for hold.

Step 5:  Smooth.  Lightly smooth back your new poof and secure it around the ponytail using bobby pins.  Finish it off with some Superfine Strong hairspray and you’re good to go!”

While in the midst of her promotional tour for Spring Breakers, Selena Gomez paid a visit to CBS’ The Late Show on Mar. 18 to have a talk with funnyman David Letterman. Apparently, talk about Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber wasn’t off the table, as Dave and Selena found they share something in common when it comes to the young singer: They’ve both made him cry!

During the interview, Dave brought up the last time he’d had Justin, 19, on the show, saying, “The last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation and he said something, then I said something, then he said something, and I said something, and I made him cry.” (Dave was, of course, referring to the June 21, 2012 interview with Justin where he teased the Biebs over his latest tattoo. During the chat, Justin made a blunder by referring to the Sistine Chapel as the Sixteenth Chapel, which Dave mocked mercilessly.)

As both the audience and Selena, 20, burst into laughter, the former Disney princess said, “Well, then, that makes two of us.”

Her comment, of course, earned even more laughter from the audience, as well as Dave, who offered Selena a fist bump and said, “Wow, that’s pretty good. Pretty strong!”

During the interview, Dave also asked if Selena had started dating any boys yet, to which she replied, “No, not yet, no.” He asked for confirmation that she wasn’t with Justin anymore. She told him, “No, I’m single, I’m so good.” Dave replied, “Yeah, I think you’re fine.”

Justin Bieber may have adorable pet names for girlfriend Selena Gomez, but he’s got a very different choice of words when it comes to Mariah Yeater, the 20-year-old who accused him of fathering her 4-month-old son Tristyn. “I think I can smell a weasel, too, a little bit,” Justin tells David Letterman during a pre-taped interview Nov. 23 on The Late Show. “I know, it’s pretty crazy. … People make up false accusations.”

We already know that Justin has taken his paternity test, but what about Mariah? It sounds like we shouldn’t hold out breath.

“Now Yeater has to offer up the baby for DNA testing, which will prove once and for all that Justin is not the father,” a source tells Page Six. “But we don’t expect her to be in a rush to do that.”
