Kohl’s is mixing things up and will soon be launching a new limited-edition collection concept called DesigNation. The line will feature fashions based on international inspiration from different premier designers, and the first one is Narciso Rodriguez! Rodriguez is known for making modernclassic clothing that functions both practically and aesthetically. For his DesigNation collection he drew creative influence from his recent visit to Istanbul!

“In Istanbul, I found beauty in colors, textures and patterns, but also in the nuances of the city; the patina on the walls, the color of the stone and the way people moved…” said Rodriguez. “I am excited to partner with Kohl’s to bring this DesigNation collection to life and provide women with beautiful clothing at an accessible price.”

The collection for Kohl’s will feature a variety of apparel such as outerwear, dresses, skirts, pants and shirt and will retail from $30 to $150. It will be available from November through December 2012, but you can check out a sneak preview of one of the sketches above!

Not American Idol, but Authentic Icon is the name of the fashion line for young women and men! The line will be available for six weeks at Kohl’s kohls.com, starting on April 20.

“It was a natural extension to partner on a line of American Idol-inspired apparel that captures the essence of our rich music, style and performance heritage,” said David Luner of FreemantleMedia Enterprises, the show’s production company.

The line will be incorporated into this season of American Idol, according to a Kohl’s rep — and we can’t wait to see what Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez will be rocking on stage!

When Kohl’s announced the collaboration between divine diva Jennifer Lopez and her hubby, Marc Anthony the partnership was branded as the ‘first celeb couple to simultaneously design collections for one retailer’ and while their couple status seems to be dissolving, their collaborations are not — although the details of the deal have been tweaked a bit. A rep from Kohl’s told WWD, “The Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony brands have always been positioned as two separate, distinctive collections that offer high-quality contemporary style for men and women, and we look forward to a successful September launch.”

I don’t know about you, but when news of their break-up came out the first thing that came to mind was the Kohl’s line — especially since it hadn’t even launched yet. If you shared the same sentiments, you can breathe a sigh of relief. Rick Darling, president of LF USA, which is sublicensing the brands to Kohl’s exclusively, told WWD, “We have two separate agreements with Jennifer and Marc and always intended to have separate lines. [Their split] doesn’t impact the agreements in any way.”

While the brands may still be on track, I doubt the dynamic duo will have the same effect that they would have had had they presented the lines together. What do you think?

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony‘s daughter, Emme, is one little fashionista! “You don’t see her on sunset strip?” Marc asks Extra about the Gucci billboard she is featured on with mom and twin brother Max. “My daughter is a Gucci model! I literally drive by and I’m like when did this happen?” Jennifer says that her lovely lady is big into accessorizing and looking stylish! “She’s very particular,” J.Lo says. “She’ll put on a scarf and she’ll be like ‘No, not like that, like this!’ And she’ll fix it.”

Daddy Marc has noticed that his little princess primps herself all day long. “When she’s at home and I’m at work, they’ll send me pictures and she poses,” Jennifer says. Sounds like she’s a diva in the making! “Max on the other hand, he just wants to run around commando! That’s his style!” adds Marc.

Jennifer and Marc are currently in the process of launching a clothing and accessories line for Kohl’s department stores and their 2 ½-year-old twins have definitely inspired them to add in a children’s collection! “It will probably be [called] Max by Marc Anthony and Emme by Jennifer Lopez,” Marc says about the kid’s line. “Emme by Jenny? I don’t know,” Jennifer suggests.

The collection, which launches next fall will include a line for women called Jennifer Lopez and a line for men called Marc Anthony, both will include sportswear, dress wear, shoes, accessories and separates — so there’s something for every occasion! “We’ve done songs together but this is a big deal,” Jennifer says, “It’s almost like getting remarried!”

“I don’t have favorites,” Lauren said when I asked about her Louboutin heels last night. But Lauren, you must love them … the soles were so worn out!

I met and mingled with Lauren Conrad, 24, last night at the m.powerment by mark event in New York City on Feb. 2. where she was introducing the campaign’s new public service announcement against dating abuse and partner violence. Lauren, who is the spokesperson for both mark makeup and this philanthropic effort, impressed me with her warm and friendly words about style and beauty…but, what impressed me the most were the worn soles of her Christian Louboutin heels. It was apparent that this isn’t a girl who spends big bucks on her shoes ($865) without getting her moneys’ worth. I could tell by looking at them, that she’s walked more than a mile in those shoes.

Hey there girlfriends — even though Lauren has starred in two hit reality television shows, The Hills and Laguna Beach, written two novels, La Candy (#1 on the Best Seller list for Children’s Chapter Books in June, 2009) and Sweet Little Lies: An L.A. Candy Novel, and launched a clothing line, LC by Lauren Conrad, for Kohl’s — she definitely knows how to get the most bang for her buck!
