Dr. Teddy Altman was fired (kind of) from Seattle Grace in the Grey’s Anatomy season finale and afterward Shonda Rhimes confirmed Kim Raver is leaving the show. But one door shutting might mean another one is opening for the cardiologist!

E! Online talked to Kim about Shonda’s idea for a spinoff show centered on Teddy’s character. “I think that would be great fun. I love working together with [Shonda],” she confessed. “I just think that she’s just sort of one of a kind, so yeah, to be able to do a Teddy spinoff would be quite fun!”

What do you guys think? Would you like to see Teddy have her own show as a chief of staff?

During the winter finale of ‘Grey’s,’ Henry died while Cristina was operating on him — but no one told Teddy yet!

Grey’s Anatomy is back! When we left the good doctors of Seattle Grace Mercy West, Teddy (Kim Raver) still didn’t know that her husband Henry (Scott Foley) was dead.

Meanwhile, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex (Justin Chambers) were stuck on a mountain road with a premature infant and three severley injured people. We can’t wait to see what happens next!

Amidst all of theses crises, Dr. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and Dr. Owen Hunt‘s (Kevin McKidd) relationship has been the calm in the storm … but a figurative tornado is about to upset even their rock solid love affair.

Enter Kim Raver’s Dr. Teddy Altman, the new cardiothoracic surgeon at Seattle Grace, who has a ‘special bond’—and undeniable chemistry—with Owen, a renowned trauma surgeon. At the same time, Cristina has started to let down her guard with Teddy and their friendship has begun to blossom. In essence, this threesome is about to become one hot mess.

“They’ve definitely created a friendship [between Teddy and Cristina], but it gets tricky,” Kim told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively at Audi’s pre-Golden Globes party Jan. 10 in Hollywood. “What’s going to happen, now? How are they going to function at Seattle Grace as a threesome, you know?”

Try not to hate the messenger, though. Kim, 40, is a long-time fan of the show and is quick to admit she’s the last person who wants to see Cristina and Owen broken up. She assures us, “I know, I feel the same way [about breaking them up]!”
