He’s your new obsession waiting to happen — his name is Kenny Wormald. This guy knows how to move, he’s good looking, and he’s got that bad boy look on lock. HollywoodLife.com spoke with the 26-year-old actor and he reveals that from the moment he met his co-star Julianne Hough there was an instant connection.“We tested once together when she had already had the role,” Kenny says. “It was just like ‘We are going to put the music on and see how you two go.’ Right away we were dancing and grooving with each other.”

One of the reasons these two had such great onscreen chemistry is because they became best buds in real life. Kenny tells us they’d hang out all the time off set — love it!

“[Julianne] is a wonderful girl,” he gushes. “Even after we booked it, we worked together prior to shooting, tons of dance rehearsals, so we were comfortable in that environment. The chemistry is real.”

This is so exciting — we just hope Julianne’s boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest, isn’t too jealous!

It’s hard to top a classic – but Kenny tells us he made it his own and wasn’t trying to outdo the film’s original star Kevin Bacon.

“What’s cool is I went in with a Boston accent and they never told me to get rid of it,” Kenny says. “Once I booked it they changed it from Chicago to Boston.”

The original Footloose was a ground breaking movie that will forever be untouched in our hearts. So how did the cast members of the remake, which comes out this week, feel about recreating a classic gem? Kenny Wormald told HollywoodLife.com he got permission from the original Ren, Kevin Bacon, before the film began shooting!

“I haven’t [met Kevin Bacon] and I was a huge fan of the original film. I love the guy in the movie and everything he’s done since. I just haven’t met him,” Kenny admitted to us at the NYC premiere of the film Oct. 12.

He added, “He spoke with our director, they’re friends and he gave his blessings, we did him a lot of justice and I know he’ll be proud.”

After seeing a screening of the film, we’re sure Kenny did Kevin proud. What do YOU think about the new Footloose?

You fell in love with Julianne Hough on Dancing with the Stars but you’re about to be blown away by her performance in the 1984 Footloose film remake when it hits theaters Oct. 14. HollywoodLife.com got a chance to speak with the gorgeous 23-year-old at the Footloose premiere hosted by The Cinema Society on Oct. 12 — and she revealed that although her brother Derek Hough is leading the way on DWTS with Ricki Lake, it doesn’t mean he’ll sweep the competition!

“I mean I’m kind of biased,” she tells us. “I think Ricki Lake and my brother are pretty great but she’s actually really great! I love J.R. … I think he’s really great too. So I think they’re going to be in the final together.”

This two-time Dancing with the Stars winner definitely knows what she’s talking about! We got a chance to watch her two amazing performances on the Oct. 11 episode and she told us it was “surreal” to be back at her old stomping grounds.

We also got a chance to speak with her uber-talented Footloose co-star Kenny Wormald who tells us that he’s never seen anyone with a work ethic like Julianne!

“[Julianne] is the hardest working person on the planet. She doesn’t stop,” Kenny told us. “She’s constantly working out with a trainer, with coaches … she’d be exercising in her trailer! She’s awesome.”

Julianne Hough didn’t look like a girl with a longtime boyfriend after her Footloose premiere. The gorgeous 23-year-old star was radiant as she breezed through the doors of NYC club SL at 1am with her co-star Kenny Wormald, 27, in tow. Eyewitnesses tell HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Julianne danced into the wee hours of the morning with Kenny and their chemistry on the dance floor had everyone buzzing!

“They are both great dancers and they were definitely having a good time,” a source tells us. “But they were getting pretty close. They were dancing all over each other and people kept asking each other if they were dating! They looked to be really into each other … it got people talking.”

We must point out that although Ryan wasn’t in attendance for the NYC premiere, he did show up to her LA premiere. HollywoodLife.com can also tell you this remake is fantastic and their chemistry not only sizzles off screen — it’s explosive in the film!

“[Kenny and I] had so much fun. Dancing is a sexy way of feeling a little bit more promiscuous without actually going there,” Julianne recently told Allure. “It was such a great feeling to leave and feel like, Woo! OK! Where’s my boyfriend? I need to call him.”
