Russell Crowe isn’t wasting any time. The 48-year-old, who is currently starring in Les Mis, was reportedly seen moving on with Billy Joel‘s stunning ex-wife Katie Lee Joel.

The report claims Russell is casually seeing the chef and food critic. The New York Post’s Page Six claims they were cuddling in front of a fireplace at the Greenwich Hotel on Dec. 9, and again later that day.

“They looked really into each other,” a source said.

It was only recently that Russell and his wife Danielle Spencer split up. The actor even recently tweeted that he has been so busy with his filming schedule that he’s barely seen his son Charles Tennyson.

“Starting on another film set tomorrow,” he wrote. “I need to go home & be with my children. Cannot believe how f**ked up my schedule has become this year.”

Russell is currently in NYC shooting A Winter’s Tale with Colin Farrell.

Russell and Danielle were married for nine years, while Katie wed Billy in 2004 and they split in 2009.

When they first split, a source said, “It was really the age difference that caught up with them. They grew apart. She is very career-oriented. She loves going out. She loves the city. When Billy isn’t touring, he’d rather be on Long Island with his motorcycles and boats.”

Despite reports that Katie cheated on Billy with a fashion designer, her rep said that was false.

Joel’s spokeswoman Claire Mercuri added, ”Their decision to separate was absolutely unrelated to Yigal.”

Katie recently wrote the book Ground Swell about a girl who has a bad break up and finds love again on the Hamptons with a surf instructor.

Not only is Katie still close to her ex-husband, but she’s totally supportive of him, too — she’s psyched to see Billy’s music appear on Glee!

It’s not typically easy for exes to stay on good terms, but that’s exactly what Katie Lee and former husband Billy Joel have managed to do!

“We’re very good friends,” the 28-year-old chef confided to HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the 11th Annual BNP Paribas Taste of Tennis Charity Event in NYC August 26. Katie realizes that her situation is pretty unique, and tells us, “I think that [getting along with your ex is] something that really just depends on the person.”

Not only does Katie get along well with Billy, 61, but she’s also still supportive of his career! Although she confessed that she’s not a huge fan of Glee, she was more than happy to hear his music would be featured on the hit Fox TV show. “I didn’t know that it was, [but now] I can’t wait to watch it!” she gushed, adding, “I haven’t gotten into Glee yet, but I’d love to start watching it because all of my friends really like it. I’m sure [Billy's music] will be really great. His music is the soundtrack of a lot of people’s lives, so I think it’s a perfect fit for Glee. That’s really exciting!”

We’re pretty shocked that these two have maintained such a good relationship, given the scandal the end of their marriage. The couple separated after 4 1/2 years of marriage last June amidst rumors Katie was cheating with fashion designer Yigal Azrouël – whom she is NOT dating. In fact, Katie reveals that she’s currently single!  ”I’m not dating right now!” she shared with us.

Instead of men, Katie is focusing on herself. “I’ve just been at the beach all summer,” she explained. “I surf – that’s really been my thing. Just been surfing and writing a book. That’s about it and cooking.”

Alexa Ray Joel, the 23-year-old daughter of singer Billy Joel and model Christie Brinkley, is currently recovering at St. Vincent’s Hospital in NYC after a reported drug overdose, Radar Online is reporting. Paramedics were called to Alexa’s New York apartment at 12:19 p.m. on Dec. 5 by Alexa’s roommate, who told the dispatcher that Alexa had “taken pills.” When they arrived, the paramedics say they found Alexa having trouble breathing. According to Pop Crunch, Alexa’s roommate also told paramedics that she has “been depressed after recently breaking up with a boyfriend and ultimately took too many pills.”

Several sources tell Radar Online that her parents’ issues are what drove her to take desperate action. Mom Christie recently went through a highly publicized divorce from husband Peter Cook, while dad Billy also recently split from his wife, Katie Lee Joel.

Stay strong, Alexa! If you feel like your parents’ problems are making your life difficult, talk to them, or seek professional counseling. Even when things get tough, suicide is never the answer!

And guess who’s a Twi-Hard? Abigail! The adorable actress gushed to us, “I’m Team Edward … totally!” Abigail left the party around 11 pm, because mom thought it was time to go home.

The party had an appropriately vampire theme, complete with Alize cocktails (like” Team Edward”) and staffers who drew bloody fangs on their face and bite marks on their necks.
