Kendra Wilkinson and Kate Gosselin seemingly have a lot in common — they were both featured on their own reality shows, and each competed on separate seasons of Dancing with the Stars – but when it comes to their home lives, they couldn’t be more different. Kendra was in for a world of shock when she stumbled into Kate’s home and took on the role of single mom to eight kids.

Kate, on the other hand, couldn’t believe that she would have to not only take care of just one kid for a week, but also leave nearly all of the house work to Kendra’s husband Hank Baskett and their housekeeper Rosa!

Wives Swap Places In Surprise Switch

When Kate and Kendra arrived at each other’s houses, it was a complete shock where they would end up — until they saw the family pictures in each of the houses! When Kendra saw Kate Gosselin’s photo, she about had a heart attack — she would be taking care of eight kids by herself!

Kate was a little more relieved when she saw Kendra’s photo, because she knew she would have a husband to help and just one little (adorable) kid to look after. When they read each other’s house rules and manuals, it got a little more complicated.

Kate found out that Kendra’s nanny Rosa takes care of the house work and little Hank most of the day, and there really isn’t a set structure to their schedule. ”Relax and have a drink on me,” the handbook said — what a treat!

Kendra was floored when she saw that Kate’s schedule with her eight kids is much more structured. She starts making their breakfast at 5:30 in the morning, and is ready for when the kids come down the stairs at 6:03 A.M. (not 6, and not 6:05). She finds out each kid has a set of strict chores, which is foreign to her since she has never had chores in her life!

Kate & Kendra Take Over Role As Mommy

When Kendra meets the eight kids, they are super standoffish. And Kendra admits she’s pretty bad at remembering names, so she’s not sure how the week is going to go. But the kids teach her how they make their lunches, what their chores are and how they continue with their routine — basically, the kids are mothering Kendra! ”Maddie is mentally older than I am,” Kendra admits.

Kate is in for a pleasant surprise when she sits back with a glass of wine and watches Hank make dinner on the grill. Then some of Kendra’s and Hank’s friends come over, and they all grill out and drink together. Kate says she can’t wrap her mind around grilling out randomly on a Monday night. Then, the night gets even crazier when the girls take Kate to a swanky LA club! She drinks some cocktails with the girls and tries to get used to a life of unwinding, but can’t get over that she’s normally in bed at that time.

Meanwhile, Kendra rests up for an early day with the kids. She makes them all cereal at 6 in the morning, which the kids aren’t pleased about (they usually eat eggs). But the boys do their chores of feeding the chickens, and the girls get all the lunches together. After a hectic morning, Kendra looks ready to break down! Then later after dinner, the kids resume all of their daily chores and Kendra can hardly believe the kids have to do so much.

Over in Hollywood, Kate she goes to the golf course with Hank and reveals over dinner that she doesn’t know how to relax, and hasn’t had dinner with a man in years! Kate feels like Kendra is taking advantage of her husband and not spending enough time with their son Hank. ”I wouldn’t want it that way… nanny who was there all day for taking care of the house,” Kate says.”

Time For A Change: Kate & Kendra Lay Down Their Rules

When the moms institue new rules for their new families, Kendra gets rid of all the after-dinner chores, and wants the kids to just play and have fun! They even have a picnic for dinner in the middle of the living room, throwing out the tradition of eating at the dinner table every night.

She even took them to a local arcade park to play games and ride go karts for a night of fun and spontaneity – but she nearly loses one of the boys Aiden! Luckily, Aiden is found safe and sound, but Kendra soon realizes why Kate has so much structure in her life.

Kate, on the other hand, goes in the opposite direction. She says little Hank needs to eat dinner at the table like a normal person, and needs to learn some chores of his own. So they learn to pick up his torys together. She also doesn’t think Kendra spends enough time with her family as a family, so she wants all three of them to participate in activities together! They do yoga as a family — and Hank Sr. isn’t fond of making that a tradition.

But by the end of the week, Kate is starting to appreciate what it means to let loose and relax a little bit, especially when there’s someone else to take care of her. Kendra is learning that structure can be a positive thing, and it makes the household run so much more smoothly.

The Roundtable: Kendra & Kate Reveal What They Learned

When Kate and Kendra come face-to-face, the single mom of eight takes the gloves off and says what’s on her mind.

“It was my surprise to find that you have ONE child,” she revealed, and said it was was unique that she basically does “nothing.”

“You let everybody else do everything because you don’t care,” Kate says. “Between [Hank] and Rosa, they do everything, so essentially it enables you to do nothing.” She also says she needs to take some of the burden off Hank, who deos everything in their house.

Hank disagrees, but instead of getting defensive, Kendra is on the same page — she needs to give little Hank more chores, and take some of the responsibility off of her husband and their nanny. ”Kate has empowered me. I need to dedicate more time with little Hank,” she reveals.

On the flip side, Kate admits she needs to chill out a little bit, and not feel guilty having some time to herself. Kendra says she hopes she learned the value of spontaneity and letting loose.

It looks like both moms learned a lot from each family — and is so grateful for the family they do have!

Kate Gosselin, 37, of Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame hardly looked like the same person when she showed up to The View on Feb. 26!

As she talked on the show, there were definite signs of a facelift, and an expert plastic surgeon agrees.

Kate Gosselin’s ‘Definitely’ Had A Facelift — Experts Say

Dr. Steven Fallek, a New York-based plastic surgeon, says, “Definitely a facelift — which includes her neck.” He adds that the “angles look much sharper along her lower face and neck.”

“Life is either treating her exceptionally well or she had work done,” Dr. Ed Williams, Group Vice President for Public and Regulatory Affairs for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), says. Dr. Williams also notes that her “cleaner jaw line” is undeniable.

As for how her doctors pulled it off, Dr. Fallek says it was “probably a short scar facelift as she is younger and doesn’t have much extra skin.” This sort of facelift involves a shorter incision that begins at the top of the ear and is then disguised inside the ear.

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Renato Calabria suggests another way — grafting fat or stem cells to her face. “This procedure is done by harvesting the fat in other part of the body and in case of fat grafting injecting it back to the face trough tiny incisions,” Dr. Calabria says.

Yet another surgeon, Dr. Richard Norden, FACS of Norden Laser Eye Associates, believes that Kate may not have had a full-fledged facelift, but utilized Botox and a new form of facial rejuvenation: “Her neck seems to be noticeably lifted. I would guess that she had the hot new non-surgical facelift using non-invasive ultrasound called Ultherapy.”

Kate Also Got Minor Rhinoplasty

But her face isn’t the only thing that looked different; our experts also noticed that work’s been done on Kate’s nose! Dr. Stephen Greenberg, Author of A Little Nip, A Little Tuck, and host of a plastic surgery radio show on KJOY 98.3 FM, surmises that Kate underwent a procedure called “tip rhinoplasty.”

Dr. Calabria explains Kate’s “tip work,” saying, “Tip rhinoplasty is usually done just to thin out the roundness of the tip giving it more definition.

Kate Gosselin’s Plastic Surgery: How Much It Cost

Dr. Fallek estimates that Kate’s plastic surgery cost “About 10 grand for the face and $7,500 for the nose.”

We’re wondering where Kate got together all that cash for such elaborate procedures! The show that brought her fame, Jon & Kate Plus 8, ended its run in Sept. 2011.

Kate was also fired from her blogging job at CouponCabin! In a statement, the website’s CEO said, “A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago.”

Maybe she got an advance for her appearance on Celebrity Wife Swap!

Kate Gosselin abandoned her life as a single mom of eight kids for a week to tape the ABC spinoff show Celebrity Wife Swap, where she traded places with fellow Dancing with the Stars alum Kendra Wilkinson. But her children were not happy to be a part of the experience — in fact, they were terrified for the whole week!

Robert Hoffman, who wrote the tell-all book about Kate titled Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World, reveals that the two reality stars swapped lives for a week back in November, and the kids were visibly distraught.

“The Gosselin children were scared and very confused, having no idea who their new mom-for-a-week was, or why they were left alone with her to be filmed by strangers,” he said, according to RadarOnline.com.

Robert added that the kids had to keep quiet for months, and were banned from telling anyone about their traumatic experience — not even friends from school.

Kate Gosselin & Kendra Wilkinson Switch Lives For A Week

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Kate and Kendra will swap lives for the ABC show, where Kate will assume the role of the former Girls Next Door star, and live with Kendra’s husband Hank Baskett and their son Hank Baskett IV.

Kendra, meanwhile, will live as a single mom with Kate’s eight kids: twins Cara and Mady, 12, and sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Hannah, 8, whom Kate shares with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin.

Apparently, Kate’s family was not happy with the change-up!

Kendra was featured on the E! reality series Girls Next Door, which followed the lives of Hugh Hefner and his three girlfriends, Holly Madison, Bridgett Marquardt and Kendra living in the Playboy mansion. She then landed her own spinoff series – Kendra for two seasons on E!, and then Kendra on Top for WE tv.

Kate Gosselin’s TV Return

After a high-profile pregnancy with sextplets, Kate and her ex-husband Jon were given a reality series on TLC titled Jon and Kate Plus 8 for five seasons. After Kate’s split from John, the show was renamed Kate Plus 8 for seasons six and seven.

After losing her job on the TLC reality show Kate Plus 8 last year, Kate Gosselin has been fired yet again. This time, couponing website CouponCabin.com decided to severed ties with the mom of eight, who was a contributing blogger for the site.

In a statement posted directly to the website, founder and CEO Scott Kluth said he decided to part ways with the former reality star for personal and professional reasons.

“A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago,” he wrote. “Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin.”

In light of recent abuse allegations that claim Kate hits her kids and has thrown them by their hair, it seems like a good idea for any company to distance themselves from the former John & Kate Plus 8 star.

The site could also be referencing Kate’s constant need for media attention, which seems more important than focus on being frugal — she recently visited Access Hollywood and Bravo’s late night show Watch What Happens Live!

Kate Gosselin‘s world changed when she introduced her family to the world through reality TV! But the 37-year-old mom says her divorce with Jon Gosselin, 35, wasn’t because of the rolling cameras – it was going to happen any way!

“A lot of people try to pin reality TV and say, ‘My gosh. It ended in divorce. Big surprise.’ We went through a lot. The signs were always there, and obviously having eight kids in a short span of time didn’t help that. And I’m not at all blaming my kids, I’m just saying,” Kate told Katie Couric on Oct. 3.

Jon and Kate’s 10-year marriage officially ended in December 2009. The mom of eight went on to say that the “red flags” were always there and that their relationship was never perfect.

” I know the red flags were always there. So looking back, had you never heard the names Jon and Kate Gosselin, I’m certain that I would be in that spot now. It’s hard because like any mom I just want the best for my kids,” she said.

It was a very emotional interview which eventually caused Kate to break out in hives!  Kate said she’s single and ready to find love again — and she’s even open to document her love life on TV!

“After a few years and realizing my barriers to dating and loving TV and the experiences … I feel like honestly, that was my idea! I would do it! But I think it would be fun and allow me to meet people and have fun. It will show my fun side. I think it would be really fun,” she said.

Kate Gosselin has admitted that she’s a “polarizing” person. But the reality star became very emotional during her interview with Katie Couric. When Katie asked her how she’s doing, Kate got choked up.

“I have been through a lot sorry,” she said fighting back tears. “So when you’ve gone through a lot you realize what’s important. I’m learning to let the little stuff go. Yeah, I feel like everybody as you get older … you mature. My heart was always in the right place.”

As Kate spoke, she broke out into hives! She also revealed that she’s planning on having a dating reality TV show.
