Katie Holmes is back in the saddle, sort of. The 33-year-old actress stars in the Broadway play Dead Accounts, and has to share a steamy kiss with her co-star Josh Hamilton. Reports claim that the married actor has a “crush” on Katie.

Josh is married to producer Lily Thorne, so hopefully these reports are just rumors! Meanwhile, Katie looked so happy to be back to work. Katie and Suri Cruise were braving hurricane Sandy in NYC for the past week and reportedly were out of power.

We just wonder if these pics will make Tom Cruise miss her more? He was reportedly willing to drop Scientology to win her back.

Cooper Stone got to throw the first pitch at the Texas Rangers game — but the mood was far from celebratory.

The last time six-year-old Cooper Stone went to a Rangers game his world was turned upside down.

Earlier this summer, Cooper watched his father, Shannon Stone, fall 20 feet down to concrete floor — head first — after trying to catch a ball thrown to him by his boy’s favorite player, Josh Hamilton.

The little boy’s first trip back to the stadium since his father’s death was welcomed by 50,000 cheering fans, as well as friends and family. Cooper threw the opening pitch to Josh and then he and his mother, Jenny Stone, walked in front of home plate to meet him for the very first time.

The reunion between the three was very emotional.

‘I just asked [Jenny] if they were believers in Christ and she said they were,’ Hamilton told the Associated Press. “I said, ‘Well, we know where your husband is right now. Make sure that the little one knows who his daddy was and what he stood for.’”

So sad! And even though the mood was somber, Cooper showed signs of happiness.

“Just to see the smile on his face and him enjoying himself,” Hamilton said, “it was pretty special to see.”

A firefighter trying to catch a ball plummeted 20 feet at a Texas Rangers baseball game as his son looked on.

Shannon Stone, 39, was enjoying the Texas Rangers and Oakland A’s July 7 game with his son, Cooper, 7, when he did what most fans do: try to catch a ball flying into the stands.

Shannon was sitting in the front row, a few seats down from former President George W. Bush, when he asked player Josh Hamilton to toss him a ball. Hamilton obliged, but as Shannon reached over the barrier to catch the ball, he fell forward, behind the scoreboard onto the concrete below. As he fell, little Cooper grabbed onto his father’s sandals, trying to catch him.

“I tried to grab him, but I couldn’t,” said Ronnie Hargis, who was seated next to Shannon. “I tried to slow him down a little bit. He went straight down.”

As Shannon was taken away by ambulance he was still conscious, saying, “Please check on my son. My son was up there by himself.”

Less than an hour after the fall, Shannon was pronounced dead at a Texas hospital.

The Texas Rangers’ team president Nolan Ryan said “Mr. Hamilton is very distraught over this, as the entire team is.”

Bob Melvin, the manager of the Oakland As said, “It’s just devastating. I don’t even know what to say. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Certainly baseball is not very important in light of something like that.”

We hope that safety precautions will be taken in the future to prevent accidents like these from happening!

Diane handles herself just like the royal hostess that she is when unexpected guests arrive at her party!

The roof is on fire! Or so the NYFD thought June 8 when they sent firefighters to international fashion designer Diane von Furstenburg‘s private dinner party, held at her design studio in NYC, and HollywoodLife.com was right there to catch the whole event on video!

Diane was hosting one of her usual evening shindigs in honor of her French filmmaker friend, Danièle Thompson’s most recent movie, Change of Plans, when the fire alarm went off. The guests, including celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe, actress Jennifer Esposito, actor Josh Hamilton, and Elle International Creative Director Gilles Bensimon, were immediately notified that something was wrong.

The firefighters arrived around 9:15 p.m. to investigate what turned out to be a false alarm — someone just burned food in the kitchen!

Diane handled her unexpected guests like a true royal hostess, walking out of her own party to personally greet them upon their arrival with a glass of wine in hand and a huge smile.

Thank goodness nothing was really wrong — but it is always nice to see a hostess handle her guests so politely. Kudos, Diane!
