After standing by Casey Anthony’s side throughout the murder trial of her daughter Caylee, high-profile lawyer Jose Baez has removed himself from her legal team, according to TMZ. But the NY Post reports that Casey was planning on firing him first — she thinks he’s too focused on the limelight! “She thinks he’s using her name as a meal ticket,” a source said.

Casey hated how Jose was handling the media frenzy surrounding her case — talking with top TV talent without nailing down her first interview.

“Casey doesn’t want to be reading that Jose’s working on all of these deals on her behalf,” the source said.

Jose has been asking a $750,000 fee for Casey’s first interview, making television appearances and hobnobbing with network bigwigs while she’s in hiding.

“He’s going around taking meetings with TV producers and networks,” the source explained. “She doesn’t trust him anymore.”

After a mysterious video diary of her surfaced last week, the two had a falling out.

The source says that’s the cause for the split: “They haven’t been talking for weeks. The video was the last straw.”

Her legal team claim the 25-year-old will be in ‘great peril’ if she’s forced to return to her home city!

Casey Anthony was ordered to return back to Florida this week to begin 12 months of probation for a check fraud conviction. Her lawyers have already delayed the move pending a hearing on August 5 — and now they’re trying to have the order killed. Should she be forced to return?

Casey’s team plans to argue she completed the probation during the three years she spent in jail awaiting trial for the murder of her daughter Caylee.

They also claim she’d be at risk of harassment, attack or worse if she’s forced to return to Orlando.

Casey appears to be enjoying her life outside of jail — she’s shopping for new clothes and hitting up Starbucks! Does this make you angry?

Casey Anthony can’t hide anymore! The 25-year-old isn’t on a beach sipping a margarita and she’s not hiding away in some hospital getting plastic surgery … she’s in Ohio!

TMZ obtained photographs of Casey out and about in Ohio this past weekend — she reportedly has relatives in the state. Casey did her best to remain incognito by wearing an Ohio State baseball cap, various plain t-shirts, big hoop earrings, and her hair in pigtails. In some photos Casey is holding a cellphone and appears to be texting. In others, Casey is drinking out of a Starbucks cup.

Although Casey has been enjoying her freedom, Judge Stan Strickland in Orange County, Orlando ordered Casey back to Florida on Aug. 1 — despite releasing her from jail on July 17. The judge gave Casey 72 hours to return to Orlando to begin supervised probation stemming from check fraud charges in 2010, but her attorney Jose Baez is having none of it.

Casey’s legal team has filed a motion to keep her from going back to Orlando. Not only do they feel that Casey will not be safe in the city, they believe the order is “flawed.” Therefore, it sounds like Casey is still in Ohio.

She didn’t waste any time! Footage of Casey’s first hours of freedom show her jumping off a private jet in Florida clutching a half-drunk bottle of Corona!

The video is being offered for sale by Casey Anthony‘s lawyers, who are also brokering a multimillion dollar deal for the first interview with the 25-year-old.

According to TMZ, the tape also show Casey joking with those on the plane, including her former lawyer Todd Macaluso, who owns the jet.

The video is also the last confirmed sighting of Casey before she went into hiding, presumably waiting for the all clear to appear on our TV screens once she’s been offered a big enough pay check.

Just this week we learned George and Cindy Anthony have turned down $250,00o to appear on a talk show, because it’s not enough, and that the bidding for Casey’s first appearance has passed $1.5 millio!

It’s a battle of the networks, and it’s all over Casey Anthony! Sources tell TMZ that there is a “big price tag” attached for whoever nabs the first interview, but rumor has it NBC might be the winner!

ABC is a tough competition, but CBS is almost no threat, according to the reports.

The networks are said to be paying the cost of licensing photos and material — not for the actual interview itself.

As Casey’s first degree murder trial moves into its fourth week, prosecutors are wrapping up with compelling evidence.

When 2-year-old Caylee Anthony‘s skull was found in the woods near the Anthony family home, it had duct tape wrapped around it. The examiner initially found adhesive residue of a heart-shaped sticker on the outside of the tape — so what does it mean?

While the toddler’s cause of death was forensically indeterminable, prosecutors are suggesting that she died from suffocation via the duct tape, already been found to be consistent with tape in the Anthony’s garage. The sticker also links the murder to Casey, or at least the family’s home, since investigators found a page of similar stickers with some missing while conducting a search of their home.

“It was approximately the size of a dime,” said Elizabeth Fontaine, a physical scientist and forensic examiner. “If you were to wear a band-aid for an extended period of time, and then take it off, there would be glue residue and debris. That’s what this looked like, but in the shape of a heart.”

Sadly, one important factor is missing from the evidence: fingerprints! After decomposing outside for so long, the duct tape showed no signs of Caylee’s killer. “Fingerprints are fragile,” testified Fontaine. “It’s not surprising that there were none.”

Defense attorney Jose Baez isn’t buying the sticker idea — He asked Fontaine, “When you examined it a second time, it was gone, is that correct?” She replied, “It was no longer visible.”

Casey’s defense claims that Caylee drowned accidentally in the swimming pool, followed by a month long cover-up by Casey and her father, George Anthony. This story, in addition to the young mother’s constant lying, is backed-up by the accusation that George molested his daughter since the age of eight.

After allegations that George Anthony molested his daughter Casey, it’s no wonder the man got upset!

Casey Anthony may be on trial for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, but her father, George Anthony is under a lot of pressure, too.

Not only does the defense claim that George was home when Caylee allegedly drowned in the family’s pool, but 2 days ago George was accused of molesting his daughter when she was 8. He denies this allegation.

Jose Baez, Casey’s defense lawyer, called him to the witness stand and asked him to describe the day that he tried to look for a few missing gas cans in Casey’s trunk. The prosecution maintains that Casey became upset, rushed past him and said “Here’s your [expletive] gas cans,” then drove away.

Under cross-examination from Jose, George became red in the face, “Treat me with a little respect, and I’ll treat you with a little respect. You’re trying to get me more upset, and I don’t think that’s fair. You are badgering me.”

He had been asked if he had put duct tape on top of the gas can, which he said he had. This is important because it’s the exact same brand of tape that was found wrapped around the skull of Caylee’s remains, linking the murder to the Anthony home. George denied Jose’s accusation that he placed the tape on the gas can knowing it would be become important evidence.

New light has also been shed on the accusation that Casey was molested by her father.  Her ex-boyfriend, Tony Lazzaro testified that Casey had never indicated any abuse except “discipline,” and only once mentioned another relative trying to “feel her up.”

Those close to Casey claim she didn’t act worried in the days after Caylee went missing!

Casey’s ex-boyfriend Anthony Lazzaro took the stand on May 25 and revealed the he noticed absolutely no change in his ex’s behavior following June 16, 2008, the day her defense claims Caylee drowned.

Lazzaro’s roommates also testified, saying that Casey seemed like an all-around outgoing, content woman who never discussed her daughter being missing. She never acted unhappy and never asked them for help finding Caylee.

Brian Burner, the family’s next door neighbor, had something else relevant to add — Casey came to his house on June 18, 2008 asking to borrow a shovel to dig up a bamboo root. She had never asked to borrow anything else before.

On Tuesday Casey’s lawyer, Jose Baez, defended her by claiming that there was a horrible explanation to why Caylee was not reported missing for an entire month. Baez argued that Caylee drowned in the family’s swimming pool, but Casey had been too scared to report the child missing because her father, George Anthony, had blamed her for the negligence. He also added that her father molested Casey when she was only 8, a claim that George adamantly denies.

There is overwhelming evidence that Casey murdered her daughter and dumped her remains in the woods a half mile from the home they shared with the little girl’s grandparents, including photos of the 25-year-old partying just days after Caylee’s disappearance, googled words like ‘neck-breaking’ on her computer, and evidence of decomposition in the trunk of Casey’s car.
