Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and her merry band of fairytale misfits are about to encounter their biggest obstacle yet on the Nov. 4 episode of Once Upon A Time: a “very angry” giant, played by Lost‘s Jorge Garcia! HollywoodLife.com chatted with Jorge about what fans can expect from his larger-than-life role, as well as some behind-the-scenes secrets — including how Jennifer went “the extra mile” to make his character more believable.

First of all, how glad are you to be back in the Lost family?

It’s kind of fun! I’m looking forward to seeing how it all turns out. It was a lot of work being by yourself in that green screen studio.

Were you totally alone?

Well, Colin O’Donoghue and Jennifer Morrison were there to to do off-screen lines for me. At one point, Jennifer laid down next to the camera on the ground so the eye line would match. That was definitely going the extra mile for a fellow actor; that was pretty great.

We haven’t seen much of your character in the promos, just a shot of you screaming and stomping. Can you describe the giant for me?

We know at the end of last week’s episode that [Emma and Hook are] climbing the beanstalk, so I’m essentially what’s waiting for them at the top. It doesn’t take too much of an imagination to know the story we’re aiming for. The giant is very angry and does not appreciate intruders.

Of course. But this is Once Upon A Time, so can we expect a slight variation on the ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ story?

Definitely. I met with [creators Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz] and they gave me a pitch about the giant’s origin story that they’re going for. In true Once Upon A Time fashion, it kind of goes in a slightly askew direction than the story you’re familiar with. That always makes it exciting to play, and it gave me a good basis to start from.

Let’s say, hypothetically, you weren’t playing the giant. Is there another fairy tale character you’d love to be?

From a fairy tale? Hmm… Since it doesn’t have to from a fairy tale — they just introduced Frankenstein — I’d have to go with Godzilla. It’s my favorite.

I guess that’s not too different from the giant. Lots of stomping and growling and whatnot.

Exactly.

Now, he’ll be showing that same kind of depth on the big screen when he co-stars with January Jones, Nicolas Cage, Jennifer Carpenter and Guy Pearce in the 2011 film The Hungry Rabbit Jumps.

ELIZABETH MITCHELL

We yearned for Juliet Burke’s relationship with Sawyer to work on NBC’s hit show, and now we’re burning to see her in the 2010 drama Answers to Nothing, where she’ll star as a lost soul looking for redemption alongside Julie Benz and Dane Cook.

NESTOR CARBONELL

He once played mysterious and eternally young island resident Richard Alpert, but now Nestor will co-star with Eva Longoria Parker in Cristiada, a chronicle of the Cristeros War which was touched off by a rebellion against the Mexican government’s attempt to secularize the country come 2011.

TERRY O’QUINN & MICHAEL EMERSON

Lost, together! As wheelchair-bound John Locke and island tyrant Ben Linus, Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson didn’t ALWAYS get along (as in, hardly ever). But these two real-life buddies are joining forces on yet another JJ Abrams produced show about former black ops cops, the tentatively titled Odd Jobs.

Unfortunately, our other favorite stars — Matthew Fox, Naveen Andrews, Yunjim Kim and Emile de Ravin — have nothing in the pipeline…YET. We’re sure these Lost souls will FIND new jobs!

Word on the street is that Locke and Ben Linus are going to get their own show, but Jorge says he won’t be a part of it!

How’s this for a huge HollyBummer? Jorge Garcia says there are no plans for character, Hurley, to appear in JJ Abrams’ new Lost spin-off!

“I doubt [I'll be playing Hurley ever again],” the 37-year-old actor told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at Axe Music’s “One Night Only” Weezer concert in West Hollywood Sept. 21 adding more hopefully, “But never say never!” When we expressed our sadness at such an upsetting development he said, “I’m sorry! I don’t know. If something happened and they wanted to resurrect me as Hurley, I mean, I would consider it.”

Well, that’s better! Jorge — who’s Lost character is actually the inspiration behind Weezer’s new album –  is very clear on one thing, though — he does love Lost’s executive producer, JJ Abrams, whom is creating the spin-off Leaving Our Shifting Timelines for 2012. “I hope [I get to work with him again," he told us. "He is a brilliant mind and he can work a lot of things at one time, so I am ready for whenever he needs me."

While he's planning his next big move, Jorge is going to kill time by appearing on an episode of Matthew Perry's new sitcom, Mr. Sunshine. He may even appear on Lost alum Daniel Dae Kim's new program, Hawaii 5-0. "I'm kind of trying to work through [what to do with my career] now,” he said. “I mean, a lot of times, actors that are coming up and are in the hustle, you kind of dream of something that’s not even remotely what Lost was, so now it’s like, I need to figure out what my ‘now what’ moment is. Like, OK, I’ve done this, now what do I want? I’m still trying to figure that out.”
