With a spread in VMAN, Twilight actor Taylor Lautner is certainly increasing his style profile — in fact, a source tells us he’s even consulting with Elle Creative Director Joe Zee regarding his looks for all of his Abduction appearances!

“Taylor’s really taking an interest in fashion, especially for his upcoming premieres,” an inside source told us. “In fact, he [Taylor] asked Joe Zee to help him with his premiere looks — not full on styling, more consulting. So far they’re looking at a lot of Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana, and Armani.”

While we’ve reached out to Joe Zee and have yet to hear back, we think Taylor made a wise choice. Joe’s the perfect person to trust if you want to spruce up your style — he would never steer you wrong! We can’t wait to see what looks the pair comes up with. After all, seeing Taylor in a well-tailored suit is definitely something we won’t complain about.

“I’d love it if she went strapless, but I doubt she will,” says Joe. “She would look beautiful in a gown that’s more simple — not a big ball gown.”
So who would be his top pick for wedding gown designer if he had a choice? “Stella McCartney! After all she’s rock royalty and Kate‘s marrying into ‘royalty,’” he says.

Also, Joe points out, “Stella’s a career woman, and she’s a mom of three — I really think Kate would relate to her! They’d have a good rapport.”

Plus, McCartney is no stranger to designing major celebrity wedding gowns. She famously designed the corsetted fairy tale wedding gown Madonna wore to marry Guy Ritchie in Dec. 2000, AND she served as maid of honor!

In case you missed a second of last night’s The Hills and The City, I’m here to give you the 411 on the crazy Montag family, plus all the drama between Whitney and Roxy!

Hey HollywoodLifers! It’s Toby, back with more scoop on the July 6 episodes of The Hills and The City. Did anyone else feel bad for Darlene Montag when she cried about Heidi? I know I did! Things weren’t great for Kristin Cavallari, either, Brody Jenner decided it was time to end their fling! But there were some happy moments on the show — Stephanie Pratt actually went out with a guy who was totally her style, and she looked so happy.

Over on the other coast, The City was also loaded with drama! Whitney Port and Roxy Olin didn’t resolve their friendship issues, prompting Roxy to say “sayonara” and move out for good! As for the notorious Olivia Palermo, she told Elle magazine that she wants to go to Japan to cover some events — and the mag is probably going to give her the thumbs-up. No one (other than maybe Joe Zee) likes having her around!

Get ready to see the Ports 1961 Runway Show on The City!

Yesterday, while we were waiting for the Ports 1961 runway show to start there was more commotion than usual — and then we realized the whole cast of The City was in the first and second rows! After a moment of silence to honor designer Alexander McQueen, we noticed Elle Magazine’s Creative Director, Joe Zee was sitting front row with his right-hand woman, Olivia Palermo — although our favorite girl Erin Kaplan was nowhere in sight! Seated right behind them were roomies Whitney Port and Roxy Olin! Even if you didn’t catch them during Fashion Week, It’s safe to say that we probably will see what went down on the next season of The City – we can’t wait! –Jennifer Murray

V, you’ve got the right idea — you pre-celebrated a milestone birthday by getting super cozy with your boyfriend!

Since we hadn’t seen Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron together in a while, rumors naturally cropped up that the High School Musical sweethearts, who have been together for two and half years, were on the rocks. But based on the couple’s PDA-filled weekend, these two seem to definitely be on … and cuter than ever!

Vanessa, who celebrates her 21st birthday today, Dec. 14, touched down in L.A. Dec. 11 with Zac, 22. The two faced a pack of photographers at LAX, where the normally shy couple held hands and even managed to break a smile. The next day, the duo braved the rain to hit up a local gym in Hollywood for a quick workout.

The pre b-day celebration kicked off into high gear Sunday, Dec. 13, with brunch at Ammo in Hollywood. There, the casually dressed-down couple, who were joined by two friends, caught the attention of Elle creative director Joe Zee. “Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens a few tables over and I think I’m more giddy than the next table of 4 kids, ages 5-8,” Joe tweeted.

Later that night, Vanessa was spotted walking with Zac holding a bag from chic boutique Planet Blue. An early gift from Zac, perhaps? If not, what do you think he should get her?

As a millionaire, we’re sure Vanessa can afford anything her heart desires, but it seems like she doesn’t need any presents. She already has the best gift: A gorgeous boyfriend who loves her!

Are you and Elle Magazine editor Joe Zee great friends in real life? What was it like when he hired Olivia?

You see us go back and forth a lot on the show, but we really are friends and rarely (if ever) disagree in real life. Joe and I get along really well and have worked closely together for a few years now. To say that I enjoy working with him would be an understatement.

When you watch yourself on The City is there anything about yourself that you don’t like?

I find it really hard to watch myself! I kind of skim the screener so that I can understand the storyline and then that’s it–I could never watch the episode in real time. I try not to take it too seriously and remember that it’s a television show that’s meant to entertain. I understand that it’s more interesting to see people feuding than getting along, so I just try to take it all with a grain of salt.

Will we see a romance in your story line any time soon?

I think filming can be awkward at times, and first dates in general can definitely be awkward so there’s huge potential for disaster there… I would like to say no, but we’ll see.

Are you friends with Whitney or Roxy or any other cast members behind the scenes?

It would be difficult not to be friends with Whitney and Roxy. We’ve really gotten along well since the get-go and I consider myself pretty lucky to work with them. I also really adore Kelly [Cutrone].

Who is your favorite designer and why?

I just discovered Haute Hippie which I’m obsessed with. It’s a lot of sophisticated basics that fit really well.

Do you see a “life after Elle?” What is your dream job?

You don’t get to see a lot of what I really do on the show, but I have an amazing job and I’m really happy–so for now my focus is on the magazine.

What does it take to make it in the cut throat fashion industry and who on the show has the most potential to be big?

I think that in any industry you just have to love what you do and have a passion for it–that will keep you motivated and productive. MTV did an incredible job of casting four completely different personalities that are all trying to accomplish totally different things. I honestly think that each girl is going to be successful in her own way.
