Rob responded “I think it would really get him out of his shell a little!”

The first thing you should know about Joe Francis is that the man is a genius — and not just because he gave me a vocabulary lesson today. By embracing his haters, the head of the Girls Gone Wild empire has done quite well for himself, and he’s continuing that awkward embrace with an appearance on The CW’s H8R.

“Every high-profile individual has haters,” Joe tells HollywoodLife.com. That’s the way it works. Oprah Winfrey‘s got haters. The President of the United State’s got haters. Just watch FOX News and you’ll see how many people hate the president.”

Joe says he totally understands why he and Kim Kardashian – who was recently named the “most annoying celebrity” by Parade.com readers — were picked to be on the show and confront their haters.

“The word ‘celebrity’ comes from the root word ‘celebrate,’ but really being a celebrity is all about people taking shots at you,” he explains. “That’s what makes it interesting.”

Reese Witherspoon not-so-subtly called out Blake Lively at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards for her leaked naked photos, as well as calling upon actresses everywhere to respect their bodies and not be sleazy like reality TV stars. But Girs Gone Wild creator Joe Francis says she’s dead wrong — sexy pics and trashy television are the new celebrity!

Joe, 38, says Reese, 35, doesn’t understand what it’s like to be a newcomer on the scene looking for fame, and comments such as hers are “showing her age,” Naughty but Nice Rob Shuter reports.

“I just think that Reese needs to rethink what she said,” he says. “She said this on MTV, a network that has Jersey Shore, 16 and Pregnant…there’s nothing on the network that isn’t reality television.”

The countdown is on to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries summer wedding, and according to Kardashian pal Joe Francis, it’s going to be a show-stopper!

“It’s going to be a fun wedding,” the Girls Gone Wild creator, a close friend of the Kardashians who frequently hosts them at his Mexican home, tells HollywoodLife.com.

Kim has had a string of boyfriends over the years, but Francis says Kim’s never been as smitten as she is with her New Jersey Nets fiance. “I’ve known all of Kim’s boyfriends over the years, and I think she is most happy with Kris,” says Francis. “She’s just in her groove.”

Francis, who has spent a considerable amount of time with Kris and his buddies, also gives the Minnesota-born NBA player top marks. “I’ve actually been fortunate enough to spend time with Kris and Kris’ friends, and I think Kris is a fantastic,” says Francis, who also had a boy’s night out with Kourtney‘s boyfriend, Scott Disick, recently. “Kris is a really nice guy. I’ve spent a lot time with him and his friends from home. He’s a good guy. He’s not just another NBA player.”

As for them as a couple, Francis said, “I think they are both fantastic partners for their lives and their family. I think Kris and Kim are a true power couple. They really are.”

“I would say 90 percent it’s an orchestrated attempt or act on her part [to raise her profile],” Francis, the founder of GGW Brands, which produces the Girls Gone Wild DVD series, tells HollywoodLife.com. “I’m not sure, but my inclination is that it’s coming from her. She knows what she’s doing or someone in her camp does.”

But what does Blake have to gain by releasing such pictures? “I think it’s a smart move. This will make her desirable,” says Francis, whose pals include a who’s-who of Young Hollywood. “It’s working because it’s getting wide coverage. This may be what she needed to get her name out there.”

Francis says the photos have helped boost Blake’s profile among the masses: “Look, mainstream U.S.A, other than the five people that watch ‘Gossip Girl’ have never heard of Blake Lively. This will catapult her into some of the top searches on some of the Internet sites which will then trigger a dramatic jump of interest in her, and therefore catapult her career.”

He points to the post-sex tape careers of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson as examples of how racy photos and videos may cause headaches for the celebrity in the short-term, but in the long-term, they reap the benefits of it.

He says, “Here’s the thing I’ve told all these girls about sex tapes and things like this: What people don’t understand is that you may go through a storm, but that storm is relatively short. And especially in the context of entire career or an entire life, you’re talking about a three-month or six-month controversy. People forget. People forget quickly.”

And considering the photos illustrate a hot-looking woman, he says there’s little Blake should be worried about. “I think she looks fantastic. She’ll be fine. Once you become a sex symbol and a symbol of sexuality, people start Googling you — and by the way, 95 percent of all searches done on the Internet are sex-related. Then they start tracking you,  looking at you and then women become interested in you as person, because men are, and that catapults you into celebrity.”

Meanwhile, when asked if the nude photos of Blake Lively will hurt her career, Steven Hirsch, president of Vivid Entertainment tells HollywoodLife.com, “Providing that they really look great, nude shots of celebrities can boost their careers.  Of course, we’re in the celebrity sex tape business and Kim Kardashian and Montana Fishburne are good examples of how our  movies can ignite interest. If the celebs  have talent and savvy, they will find that more doors will open for them.”
