Lea Michele, Jenna Ushkowitz and Jacob Artist have all opened up and said how “proud” they are of Glee’s school shooting episode, which aired on April 11 and riled the emotions of those who were affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre on Dec. 14, 2012. ‘Glee’ — ‘Shooting Star’ Episode Stirs Different Emotions

Lea tweeted on April 11, “Such a moving a powerful episode tonight.. Made me so proud to be a part of this show.”

The April 11 episode of Glee was definitely risky, controversial, and one of the most serious episodes they’ve ever done. The members of New Directions were literally floored as shots were fired inside McKinley High.

Jacob, who plays Jake, told Just Jared, “I think most of us can agree that shooting this episode and those really heavy scenes when we’re in the choir room, those were some of our favorites. Because it was such a change from what we’re normally used to and I think it kind of took a direction on the show that we were genuinely excited to approach as actors. So I think this episode is probably my favorite as an actor.”

Jenna, also known as Tina Chang, spoke with Just Jared Jr. and added, “At first I was a little shocked that we were actually going to go there, because it’s just something that is very touchy as of late. I was nervous and excited all at the same time that we were actually going to do something so big and with such an impact on something so real.”

The four leading ladies of one of our fave Fox series, Glee, strutted down the red carpet of the Paleyfest Icon Awards held at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills on Feb. 27. All of the stars looked flawless, flaunting four very different looks — but who do YOU think deserves to be crowned best dressed above all the rest?

There’s nothing not to like about Lea Michele‘s elegant black Vivienne Tam gown. The 26-year-old spiced up the ensemble by adding a black lace bra that was revealed through the cutout detailing. The slimming gown definitely complimented her fantastic figure. We’re used to seeing a plunging neckline on the upbeat star, but we love that she added her own twist to the look.

Meanhile, co-star Jayma Mays, stole our attention with her vibrant choice of evening attire. The 33-year-old sported a collared, sleeveless dress that was snapped up the middle. The slender black dress was overpowering with a symmetrical pattern in neon orange and green. A pair of nude pointed-toe heels complimented the beige outlining of the dress. She looked perfectly trim and proper on the carpet with her hair pulled back and her collar buttoned to the top a vintage Fendi jacket finished off the get-up. It was conservative and chic!

Naya Rivera, 26, opted for a more simple look, but stunned us nonetheless. Her Monique Lhuillier top and skirt that hugged her curves and featured a plunging neckline that fit the style perfectly. She topped off the gown with a white biker-esque blazer to add a little edge to the laidback style. A pair of peep toe shoes were the finishing touch for this gal’s get-up.

26-year-old Jenna Ushkowitz looked super chic in her fitted ensemble by Marie France Van Damme. A vintage Fendi jacket and Jerome Rousseau shoes finished off her look. A pop of red on her lips and bright white polish on her fingers and toes were so fierce. We absolutely LOVE everything about this look.

The Paley Center for Media honored Ryan Murphy with the inaugural PaleyFest Icon Award. The special evening, presented exclusively by Samsung Galaxy, was attended by many cast members of Murphy’s shows.

The event honored Murphy’s achievements in series Glee, The New Normal, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story and Popular. Throughout the evening, guests had the opportunity to check out the latest Samsung Galaxy devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note II and Galaxy Camera.

These Glee girls express themselves through their vocals, but they also show the world who they are through style. These stars can make anything look chic, and they aren’t afraid to take some risks — both on and off the stage! On Jan. 8 at the TCA Fox All-Star Party in Pasadena, CA, three Glee gals arrived looking their very best. Naya opted for a sexy, mature style. She wore a tan Alice Temperley jumpsuit with a shimmering belt at the waist and a plunging neckline which accentuated her figure. To match, she wore Jimmy Choo pumps, carried a Diane von Furstenberg clutch, and sported J Hadley jewels. She looked like a Kardashian with her gorgeous ensemble, long dark locks, and bronze skin. There’s no doubt that she received a lot of attention!

Lea donned a yellow satin Lisa Ho outfit, paired with black and white Christian Louboutin heels. To add to the ensemble, she wore Jennifer Meyer jewels and carried a Fendi bag. A loose braid toned down the outfit a bit to make it a little more casual. It’s certain that Lea looked ready to party!

Last but not least, Jenna’s fun frock should definitely not be overlooked. Her colorful Jonathan Simkhai dress and nude Jerome C. Rousseau heels were the perfect pair. The pattern and style is flattering on her bod, and she looks like she brought the party that night. Jenna carried a Ted Baker clutch and wore Le Vian jewels. Gorgeous look!

Jenna Ushkowitz, 26, rocked the red carpet thanks toher amazing hair! Celebrity hairstylist Helen Jeffers created the look for Jenna, which is easy to recreate at home.

Here, Helen’s styling tips:
