Jemima Kirke may star on HBO’s Girls, but her world must be all BOY recently, as the actress just gave birth to her second child, and first son, Memphis!

Us Weekly confirms the birth of Memphis, Jemima, 27, and husband Michael Mosberg‘s second child. A source tells the publication, “Jemima and Mike had the baby about a week ago. It’s a boy named Memphis. The Girls crew and Lena [Dunham] are so happy for her!”

Jemima and Michael, an attorney, have a two-year-old daughter named Rafaella, as well.

It’s believed that Memphis was born on Nov. 20, as Lena, Jemima’s co-star and friend, tweeted on Nov. 21, “Yesterday was amazing. One of my friends had a baby, one got engaged and the doctor told me the bump on my tongue is nothing to worry about.”

Jemima Kirke quietly confirmed that her 10-month-old daughter Rafaella will be a big sis!

US weekly reports how the 27-year-old actress spilled the news at the Cinema Society after party for Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love in NYC on June 21.

“Congratulations on your pregnancy,” a reporter at the event told Jemima.

“Thank you,” she replied.

Girls‘ second season is currently filming. Jemima gave birth to her first daughter six weeks before filming the first season. She lives in Brooklyn with her attorney husband.

Girls has been getting a ton of hype, and the first episode of this new HBO series has the perfect blend of honesty, awkward moments and straight-up laughter!

The series was created by and stars Lena Dunham, whose 2010 film Tiny Furniture put her on the map. She plays Hannah, who has been slaving away at an unpaid internship until her parents decide to finally cut her off. After a misunderstanding leaves her without even the internship, she takes solace in the arms of her artsy (and doofy) boyfriend Adam (Adam Driver) — leading to one of the most funny and awkward sex scenes ever filmed.

Meanwhile, Hannah finds support from her friends: Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet). Even though this pilot only touched upon their individual problems, they are uniquely funny and do not fit the mold which many stock female characters fall into.

Girls is definitely one of the standout shows of 2012. From the witty dialogue and unique characters to flat-out funny humor, it left us both laughing and cringing. We can’t wait to spend more time with our new BFFs!
