One of the biggest days in a girl’s life is when she is asked for her hand in marriage, and a new report is claiming that is exactly what Jason Derulo is about to do with his long time girlfriend Jordin Sparks! How cute!

The couple, who have been dating over a year, seem to be taking the next step in their relationship. Sources have told In Touch Weekly that Jason plans on proposing to Jordin very soon and even talked to Jason who said, “The proposal will be monumental. I wrote a song called ‘Marry Me’. I have a date in mind. I want to surprise her but she’s given me guidelines first. I have to ask her dad for permission.”

Jordin Sparks Wants To Have A Family!

“I hope to marry and have kids one day, for sure, and I do see him in my future. But we both have to be ready. If that happens one day, it will happen,” Jordin recently said, regarding her future family plans. She added what makes Jason the right guy, saying, “There is something as simple as him just being in the room with me that helps calm me down and makes me feel at ease … He says sweet things. When you love somebody, the littlest thing can be the biggest thing.”

So HollywoodLifers, I had the chance to visit Jason Derulo in the studio while he has been hard at work creating a new smash hit called “Undefeated”. The best part of it all, the song is co-written by America!

Coca-Cola and American Idol are back for their second annual lyric submission that will team up Idol fans and mega award-winning artist Jason Derulo to create a new hit for the show’s finale. This will be the first time that Jason Derulo will perform on stage since he broke his neck a few months back that almost cost him his life.

Talking about the experience Jason gushed, “I’ve written songs for some of the most recognized performers in music today and no matter how talented an artist is, a hit song is always a collaborative effort, From the producers to the writers to the talent performing the song, music comes to life thanks to a team effort, which is exactly what Coca-Cola Perfect Harmony is all about. I can’t wait to collaborate with all of the IDOL fans out there to create a new song.”

To be involved, fans can log on to www.AmericanIdol.com/PerfectHarmony where they can listen to the opening segment of “Undefeated” by Jason Derulo. Based on what lyrics are selected we will see the finished product where Jason will perform on the first night of the two-night finale of AMERICAN IDOL, airing Tuesday, May 22 (8/9 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

As an incentive, fans who submit lyrics into the contest, as well as those who vote for the submissions, will be entered into a sweepstakes drawing to win various prizes. Jason Derulo is a rising star in Hollywood who just released his second album Future History late September. Most famously known for his songs — “Ridin’ Solo,” “Watchya Say” and “Don’t Want To Go Home,” (just to name a few!) — Jason told us exclusively all about his new single “Breathing” — which will totally be a hit!

“It’s a very true story,” Jason tells us. “It’s about two different situations with a girl I was involved with and my cousin who passed away. It has a double meaning.”

Jason Derulo is famous for many hits such as “Ridin’ Solo” and “Whatcha Say” – mostly songs about breaking up and making up. But this time around Jason’s new album, Future History is more about settling down romantically.

“It’s more edgy, it reflects who I am as a man now,” Jason tells Hollywoodlife.com exclusively. “I write all of my songs; all are inspired by personal experience.”

This new album features his latest single “It Girl” – and when he filmed the music video for this song he met his rumored gf, Gossip Girl star Tika Sumpter. We had to ask, who is this song about and what is the perfect ‘it’ girl to him?

While it wasn’t written about any specific girl (not all artists have a Taylor Swift attitude) – he was brave enough to spill to us his ideal “It Girl.”

“Someone who is polite,” he said. “I feel like girls have forgotten to say please and say thank you.” We can see that Jason is one man who has not forgotten about chivalry.

And where of all places would he take his special ‘It Girl’?

Whenever news breaks in Hollywood that a young star has  to leave the spotlight to deal with an addiction, emotional or physical problem, everyone starts wondering if they’ll ever make it back to the limelight. For 19-year-old Demi Lovato, there was never a question if, but when she’d get back to work in a better frame of mind. As she continually works on her recovery, the “Skyscraper” singer is standing strong and thanking her fans for where she is today.

Demi chatted with E! News at a recent meet and greet in Santa Monica about her support system of loyal fans.

“They’ve supported me through all of this and it means a lot,” she said. “They’ve been there for me when I was in treatment and when I got out. Now they’re supporting the new single “Skyscraper” and the new album, “Unbroken,” that comes out Sept. 20. They’re promoting the crap out of it and we’re so excited.”

Speaking of ‘Unbroken,’ Demi shared some secrets about the highly anticipated album.

“‘Unbroken’ is basically me and who I am today,” she said. “I’m unbroken. After everything I’ve been through, I’m still standing strong like a skyscraper. “Unbroken” was my favorite song on the record so I decided to name the album [that]. I have a lot of awesome collaborations. I have collaborations with Jason Derulo, Iyaz, Missy Elliot, it’s going to be a great record.”

To keep herself on the right track as her career takes off again, Demi says she’s being careful who she hangs out with.

“I surround myself with people that are beneficial to my recovery and my recovery is still a daily battle,” she said. “I definitely hang out with people that will support me in making the right decisions and I’m a happier healthier person today because of the choices that I made. It’s amazing having the support of other artists, musicians and actors. Having that respect from them is really incredible. I’m thankful to have that kind of support from people that I look up to.”

Earlier today Radaronline.com reported Jason Derulo is dating his Teen Choice Awards date, Gossip Girl sweetheart Tika Sumpter. But Jason told us exclusively that is not true — the two are just friends.

“No, I’m not dating her, but I’m taking her to the Teen Choice Awards,” Jason told us.

Jason said the two met on the set for his video new single, “It Girl,” where she played the main girl.”We met there a couple weeks back,” he explained.

Jason is nominated for two Teen Choice Awards, Choice Music R&B/Hip-hop and Choice Award Male Artist. The singer is competing against Justin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Bruno Mars and Enrique Inglesias for best male artist.

When asked who he thinks is going to win, Jason said: “I don’t know who is going to win, but what a great category to be in.”

“It Girl” is his second single on his album, Future History — which hits stores Sept. 27. When describing his album, Jason thinks his album is more personal than his last one, which included songs “Ridin’ Solo,” and”Watchya Say.”

“These are more edgy, more emotional, a little more personal and that’s who I am now. That’s the difference between the last and this one,” he said.

Joe breaks from his brothers to pen a hit with Chris Brown — is it his best work yet?

Expectations are high for Joe Jonas‘ upcoming solo debut and the first single is out. We can say for certain it’s definitely going to be a huge summer jam!

Joe, 21, wrote “See No More” with his BFF Chris Brown, and the track moves him into the same radio-friendly dance territory as Jason Derülo and Usher.

The track revolved around heartbreak, plain and simple — and we can’t help but wonder if it’s Joe venting his feelings for ex-girlfriend Ashley Greene! Check out the lyrics of the chorus: “It’s one of the reasons why / That I just can’t get you out my mind / And all I keep seeing is your picture / I don’t wanna see no more.” If we split with someone as beautiful as Ashley, we’d be singing the same sad song!

While it’s a good track for the gym or at the clubs, we wish his voice was a little less processed — the robot-y warble barely even sounds like him!
