One Direction kicked off the Nov. 8 episode of The X Factor with its hit single “Live While We’re Young,” and I totally fan-girled over Harry Styles the whole time. (He’s legal!) Then we were subjected to NFL quarterback Drew Brees trying to make jokes as the “sixth member.” It was super cheesy, but luckily the boys of 1D performed again with their new song “Little Things,” and we got to look back at their journey from X Factor to stardom.

As for the top 13, these are the acts that made it through in order of most-voted:

What. The. Hell. Like Simon Cowell, I was SHOCKED that Emblem3 was so low and Vino was so high. Tate’s not that great, but he is the only country guy so it makes sense. Still, Carly Rose should have been No. 1, hands down. What is America thinking?!

Nevertheless, this left CeCe Frey and Jason Brock to sing for survival, which didn’t surprise me at all. CeCe sang Cher‘s “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” and it was all over the place. Jason did much better with his song (and the best song ever) “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler, but it still wasn’t that amazing. I didn’t care for either of them, to be honest.
