Selma Blair‘s beautiful baby boy, Arthur Saint, was born just four weeks ago, and she is thrilled!  However, she told PEOPLE that she’s experiencing an annoying (but common) problem for new mamas — hormonal hair loss!

“This is so not glamorous, but it’s true: I need to take longer showers so that I can collect the hair that falls out and throw it away so I don’t clog the drain,” she told the magazine.  ”It just started falling out at the three-month mark. And I’m not a girl who likes extensions, so Selma’s going to be bald!”

Long locks or not, she and fashion designer husband Jason Bleick are overjoyed over their new son.

Moms out there, fear not! Even celebrities have trouble dropping those post-baby pounds, including health freak Selma Blair, who confesses she hasn’t lost any weight since she gave birth to baby boy, Arthur, six weeks ago. She admits she just hides her “Jell-O” body under beautiful clothes! Sound familiar?

When told she looked fabulous at the J. Mendel Spring/Summer 2012 runway show at New York Fashion Week on Sep. 14, Selma laughed, “I am not fabulous. It is a mess of Jell-O all over my body. I’m relying on beautiful clothes to mask what is happening to my body. And no, I have not lost any baby weight yet. Any,” she told to E! Online. “I’m only six weeks after birth, [but] now I’m at the point where I can exercise, so I will.”

But for now, the weight is the last thing on her mind, Selma is head over heels in love with Arthur! “He came to Venice for the Film Festival and to Toronto, and right here and he’s been a captain all the way. He’s been amazing,” Selma, whose partner is designer Jason Bleick, told OK! backstage at the J.Mendel show.

“He’s perfect. Arthur is perfection. He’s as good as a newborn can be,” she gushed. “He’s been smiling since two weeks. He already weighs 13 pounds. He’s very tall, [at] seven weeks. And he’s… the smiling is the biggest one.” Aww!

New mommy Selma Blair is basking in baby joy after giving birth to her first child with beau Jason Bleick, son Arthur Saint, last month. The actress, 39, tweeted a picture of the newborn taking a nap with daddy! Too cute!

We have to say, we miss seeing Selma’s bump walking down the street in fabulous maternity clothes, but this little guy is SO MUCH cuter to look at! Congrats, Selma!

That bump’s past blossoming…it’s GIANT! And experts say she could be induced right away if she really is 21 days past her due date.

We’ve been saying Selma Blair is “about to burst” for weeks — even months — now, but still, the Cruel Intentions star, 39, flaunts fabulous maternity frocks and high heels on a daily basis. Not to mention her baby bump is so huge, we don’t even know why or how she’s still standing! How healthy could this be?

“To truly be three weeks overdue is a bit concerning,” Dr. Melody T. McCloud, obstetrician-gynecologist and author of Living Well, Despite Catchin’ Hell: The Woman’s Guide to Health, Sex and Happiness tells HollyBaby.com. “There is concern about decreased amounts of amniotic fluid, which could cause cord compression.”

“Also risk of the baby having fetal distress which results in he/she passing stool (called meconium) which could get into the baby’s lungs and cause fetal distress, poor oxygenation, even death of the fetus,” Dr. McCloud adds.

“If she is truly three weeks overdue, I’d think induction of labor would soon be in order. Just as it’s not good to deliver a child too early, the longer a pregnancy last after forty or forty-two weeks, the more risk of intrauterine fetal demise and complications, including aspiration of meconium for the infant.”

And obstetrician Dr. Tara Solomon agrees. “OB GYNs usually only go 10 days post term delivery because of the risk of low fluid, and umbilical cord compression,” she explains. “No Hollywood doctor would take that risk.”

Selma, who was reportedly due to give birth on July 4, is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Jason Bleick.

So is she really overdue? Or just carrying really big late in term?

Selma is loving pregnancy, especially being barefoot and unemployed!

Selma Blair has been having a “great” pregnancy and it might all be due to satisfying her biggest craving — pancakes! “I eat pancakes all day long,” the actress, 38, tells Access Hollywood. “I don’t eat gluten, so I eat gluten-free pancakes. It’s a little better, but not much!” she adds. “I have a lot of pancake cravings, a lot of grapefruit [cravings].” Sounds delicious!

“I’m unemployed, barefoot, and pregnant!” Selma jokes. And what could be better than enjoying your time off, barefoot and munching on pancakes?

And although she’s willing to give up the details on her pregnancy cravings, Selma is keeping quiet on whether she’s having a boy or a girl with beau and designer, Jason Bleick. “I’m not going to say what [the sex] is yet,” she explains. “Hopefully, it’s one or the other. Who knows these days!”

The actress, 38, was out and about in Los Angeles yesterday, Mar. 10, clutching on to Emmy-winning writer Teresa Strasser‘s hilarious pregnancy book, Exploiting My Baby: Because It’s Exploiting Me, which tackles the real side of being a new mom, including bodily functions, pregnancy sex and childbirth. Wow, we want more!

Teresa’s book is a collection of her funny and straight-forward blogs (at exploitingmybaby.com), which happen to illustrate the real-side of pregnancy — the one most people are afraid to talk about.

And it looks like Selma, who is expecting her first baby with designer beau Jason Bleick, isn’t looking to hear about the “perfect” aspect of pregnancy. She wants to get down to the nitty-gritty TRUE facts! Good for her!

Selma and her baby daddy stepped out for some retail therapy yesterday (Feb. 10) to ease the pain of a family loss.

Selma Blair‘s baby belly looks so comfy chic in this casual maternity look. The 38-year-old actress and her fiance Jason Bleick did some shopping at Fred Segal and than picked up an afternoon snack, while out in Los Angeles yesterday (Feb. 10). It was a sad day for Selma. Her one-eyed dog Wink passed away. We hope her baby-to-be gives her something to look forward to now.

Selma has always had a soft-spot in her heart for Wink. “She’s playful and wonderful and she saved me from myself many times,”she says about her canine companion.

Stay strong, Selma. Wink might be gone but you have a beautiful baby on the way who’s sure to brighten your days.

It sure looks like Selma Blair’s baby bump has shrunk! Sure black is a slimming color, but this is astonishing!

Selma Blair was spotted out in Los Angeles yesterday (Jan. 24) and we couldn’t help but notice that her baby belly looked to be smaller than the one she showed off while out for breakfast last week on Jan. 16. Either she ate too many pancakes the morning she wore the white dress or her bump has shrunk! HollyMoms, did your baby bump ever fluctuate in size?
