Kody Brown has four wives, and pretty soon, his hit show Sister Wives will have four seasons! TLC confirms to HollywoodLife.com that the series, which aired its third season finale Jan. 1, will be back for another season, though a premiere date has yet to be determined.

Sister Wives‘ third season was arguably its most dramatic one yet, especially when it came to Kody’s relationship with his first wife, Meri. He practically demanded that she give him another baby — 17 kids is clearly not enough for him — and he wanted to give Meri the first opportunity to grow the family.

“We just can’t keep going in these circles,” Kody told Meri during one particularly heated argument. “You might feel different when we’re in our new homes. I know it’s hard.”

And the issue still hadn’t been resolved as of the season finale, even though Robyn offered herself up as a surrogate. I guess we’ll have to wait until season four to find out if Meri changes her mind!

‘Sister Wives’ Cancellation Rumors:

This news should come as a relief to fans who suspected the show had been canceled, following a cryptic tweet from one of the wives.

“Thanks everyone for tuning in last week for r season finale,” Janelle tweeted Jan. 6. “Hope 2 see u all again soon. Keep up with us all in Twitter in the meanwhile.”

Well, now we can officially confirm that we will see Janelle again, along with the rest of the Brown clan.

Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn finally made some honest confession to Steve Harvey on his show today, Nov. 30.

“We do have jealous moments over Kody,” revealed wife#3 Christine. “If I’m having an insecure moment and not feeling confident about who I am,” — that’s when it happens.

The polygamist family also admitted that the wives will fight with each other, but husband Kody acts in full self preservation mode at that point.

“He ducks and hides,” laughs Meri.

Insists Kody in his defense: “it’s dangerous for me to mediate between them because I’m their husband.”

Instead, Kody explains that when one wife has a complaint about another, “I need to validate her and then let her work it out with the other wife.”

But it was Janelle who probably said the thing that all non-polygs suspected. “He’s pretty much always in the doghouse with one of us.”

How could Kody not be? One husband, four wives, 17 kids. No man could keep all those personalities happy at one time! Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers?

The case against the polygamous family featured on Sister Wives has been dismissed, Utah prosecutors announced. In 2010 authorities had investigated charges of bigamy against Kody Brown and wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, but the case is now closed.

Court papers explain the county has adopted the same policy as the state in regrads to bigamy and would not pursue criminal charges unless evidence exists of a victim or fraud. The family has 17 children among them, and was made popular by the TLC reality show that fascinated America.

The Browns’ attorney, Jonathan Turley, said they were “pleased that charges wouldn’t be filed” but have no plans to withdraw the lawsuit they filed against the county when they moved to Las Vegas.

The stars of TLC’s Sister Wives live by the code of “the more the merrier,” and that was certainly the case April 13 as the reality fivesome enjoyed a wild night out in Las Vegas! Kody Brown was spotted at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand with wives Janelle, Christine, Robyn and Meri Brown, where they watched Mike Tyson‘s one-man show, followed by a Dancing with the Stars live performance. Eyewitnesses say the Browns looked “cozy” all night.

While we love all of the wives, were most excited to see Robyn out and about. Less than six months after giving birth to baby Solomon – her fourth child — she looks back to her old self!

Kody and his ladies were all smiles on the red carpet, but we can’t wait to find out what’s really been going on behind the Browns’ closed doors when the new season of Sister Wives begins May 13 on TLC!

So is a father just a sperm donor or should he be able to manage his brood, especially if he decides to father 17 kids with four different wives?

I vote for the maxim that you should never have more kids than you can actually manage, as in babysit yourself — for one night at a bare minimum –AND be able to help with their homework.

Well, Kody Brown fails on both counts. When his wives decide to hit the Sin City strip for a girls’ night out, he gathers all 16 kids at one wife’s house  ( one baby was still due to be born at the time of filming)  and then proceeds to freak out with the mayhem. Wife #2 Janelle admits he “has a deer in the headlights look” as she leaves.

He snaps at older daughter Mariah to help out — which she actually should be doing. He says to another younger daughter — “you and I could have a cry in the corner ’cause I could use one.” Then admits he’s exhausted.

His triumph is when he gets Robyn’s son Dayton who has Asperger’s Syndrome, to finish his homework. Well done, Kody, but why aren’t you helping your kids with homework all the time?

Then, he proves how entirely out of touch he is with his kids — with kids in general — when he warns one young daughter not to sniff her colored markers, only to be told by an older daughter that they ARE scented markers! Aw — it’s not the same as sniffing glue, clueless Kody!

Meanwhile, Kody’s prissy wives walk down the Vegas strip and glare at bikini – clad women, especially one dancing on a table.  HELLOO – IT’s VEGAS! They bemoan that the dancing young woman is “someone’s daughter” and then tell us their philosophy “modest is the hottest!”

Now, I’m not saying that dancing in a bikini is a great profession, but it is questionable as to who’s more exploited — the dancer or four women who’ve decided they are OK sharing a husband?

Meanwhile, Meri is so stressed about making the rent payments — though the wives can afford private workouts with a trainer and spa treatments — and so is hoping to work her stress out at the gym.

Christina has been on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meditation after admitting that “a new wife coming into the family rocks the boat a bit” — YA THINK! Not to mention that Kody married Robyn just after she gave birth to sixth baby, Truly. Nice move, Kody!

The Browns have also found a new religion — working out! Even though the wives — three of whom weigh well over 200 lbs, have made only modest inroads into weight loss after two months with Janelle losing the most at 10lbs — the Browns have decided to open a fitness center.

The new family business will be a workout studio in partnership with the Brown wives’ hunky trainer, Bill Suesz, who already has an investor, Nick, who doesn’t even blink about the Browns’ plural marriage. Convenient on both counts!

Finally, Kody gets a night out with “the boys.” and we find out that our Kody was quite the athlete in high school: two time state champion wrestler! Wow! Now, he just wrestles with wives and kids.

“The boys” — two of which are NOT polygamous — are understandably curious about multiple wives.

“Do you ever find yourself wanting to spend a day or one activity with one wife more than the other,” a guy called Shaun asks. Good question.

You mean, says Kody: “Do I prefer the presence of one wife to another?”

Yes — we ALL want to know that.

But no cigar — Kody isn’t going to get himself into hot water on TV!

“The answer is no. I always enjoy being at home with wherever I’m at. The hard part is leaving a home.”

So could that really be true? Is a polygamous man REALLY able to love every wife equally? No favorites. Or is every wife so interchangeable to him, that it really doesn’t matter who he’s with.

I have to hand it to Kody Brown – he’s got gumption. Not only has he gone public and been run out of the state of Utah but now he deliberately set off to face-off with his former high school haters.

He traveled back with all 16 of his kids and four wives to publicly ask his strict Mormon home town to start to tolerate his family and beliefs.

Chief among his frenemies is his former BFF Ken Grant, who turned his back on Kody after Kody converted to a Mormon offshoot fundamentalist sect when he returned from a two year mission to preach Mormonism following high school.

Ken doesn’t just think Kody is “stupid” for becoming a polygamist, he also worries about him “eternally.” “We personally feel he has an issue come judgement day and I feel bad,” says Ken in confrontational meeting with Kody and his old high school classmates.

Kody had gone back to Lovell for the town’s annual celebration with a “scarlet letter”, he said,  on his shoulder. “I just don’t know who’s going to ostracize us,” he told us.

But when Kody, Robyn, Janelle, Christina, and Meri actually did  the sit down with Kody’s high school crowd, his peers may have actually hit the crux of Kody’s polygamy obsession right on the head.

“Kody hasn’t changed a bit – he loves the limelight. It’s no surprise he went public with his lifestyle,” Ken said.

It quickly emerges that Kody has been an attention-hog since way back.

“When I heard he was a polygamist, I thought he was the dorky boy trying to be the center of attention all the time,” blurted out his former crush, Janae Horman. “It’s a built in way for him to be the center of attention all the time, How could you not be with four wives and sixteen children.”

Wow! I actually think Janae is a psychological genius and Kody laughed but he turned beet red.

Then Ken brought up that people ask him about Kody’s sex life all the time , as in  –is he a polygamist for multiple woman sex?

Robyn gets really offended by this, but of course Ken has raised a key question that everyone has wondered about.

“It make me angry that people assume Kody’s into [polygamy] for the sexual gratification. They don’t understand who he is,” defended Robyn. “I always say-sex is cheap. Wives aren’t. Kody is a very moral man and we are very moral women.”

It turns out that Kody’s so called best friend is his toughest critic. Aside from worrying about Kody’s eternal damnation, he also warns him that he better not try to confuse him by “twisting” Mormon beliefs and tricking him , Ken, into becoming a polygamist. Ken thinks Kody is “dangerous.”

But that’s not the only accusation Kody is in for. His former high school classmate April Smith claims that in high school “we though he was gay, flamboyantly gay…he had this hair thing and he seemed to have a feminine side.”

Kody just laughed again and responded that he was an early “metrosexual” because he’s always been hair obsessed! Well, we can all see that that’s still true!

So congrats to Kody and his sister wives for continuing to bravely address head on all the controversies and questions EVERYONE has about polygamy.

Oh, and for those of you who were wondering what baby #17 will be named, it’s…Solomon!

The stars of TLC’s Sister Wives dropped by Anderson on Sept. 29 to give us all an even closer look at their controversial Polygamist lifestyle — and it was Christine that made our jaws drop when she told Anderson Cooper she’s totally fine with her position as “third wife.” In fact, she doesn’t want to be any more important to husband Kody Brown than she is now!

“I never wanted to be a first wife or a second wife,” Christine admitted, much to our surprise. “I, in fact, only wanted to be a third wife. I’m not even kidding.”

She continued:

“We all chose coming into this family, we all chose to be part of this,” she said. “We knew Kody, we fell in love with him, we fell in love with his family. So we all chose that and you talk about how many wives and the number of wives, we’re just working on our family, working on what we have. We just feel blessed to come together.”

To each her own, but we can’t imagine settling for — much less wanting – the “third wife” position. Doesn’t she want to feel just as important to Kody as Meri and Janelle? And what does Robyn think about her “fourth wife” slot?

So many wives, so many questions.

Kody Brown is struggling financially and fighting anti-polygamy neighbors in new hometown Las Vegas — Is the family’s move a disaster?

Kody and his four wives are in trouble! RadarOnline.com has a shocking new report that one of their Las Vegas neighbors tried to evict one of his wives. Not only is this incredibly sad, but imagine how much turmoil their children have already been put through!

“It was pure prejudice,” Kody said. “A neighbor tried to have one of my wives evicted.”

Kody wouldn’t reveal whether it was Meri, Janelle, Christine or Robyn — but he did go on to add that their hardships don’t stop there.

“We’ve had people that yell at us out of a window of a car while we’re walking on the street.”

This is just awful! Kody and his wives left Utah after they were being investigated for polygamy by the District Attorney. We watched some of their journey on season two of Sister Wives but after their potluck dinner with a few neighbors, we thought everything would be just fine.

It’s not just the blatant discrimination from some of their Las Vegas neighbors — they are struggling to make ends meat!

“We are working on a family business but right now we’re living off Kody’s retirement,” says Kody’s fourth and newly pregnant wife Robyn. “It’s a challenge to start over again.”

But despite all of their difficulties, a source close to the family tells HollywoodLife.com that things are working themselves out.

“They are adjusting beautifully. Just a bump in the road. And a minor one at that.”
