Charlize Theron, 37, is not only an Oscar-winning actress — she’s a proud mom to her first child, son Jackson Theron! The beautiful twosome looked casual and chic when they landed at LAX on Jan. 6.

Hiding behind big glasses, a scarf and a fedora, Charlize kept her baby boy close to her chest as she dashed through the airport. Jackson looked super cute decked out in a hooded sweater and tiny little UGG boots!

Charlize Theron Shaves Her Famous Locks

Even though we’re used  to seeing the Snow White and the Huntsman actress with her long blonde hair, she had to shave her head for an upcoming role in Mad Max: Fury Road, which was filmed in Africa. She is playing Furiosa in a remake of the 1979 action flick.

But it looks like her naturally brown hair is growing out a bit — and looks totally chick under the right hat.

Charlize Gushes About Adopting Baby Jackson

Charlize shocked fans everywhere in March 2012 when she adopted her first child, which took her two whole years. But her mom Gerda Aletta offered her solid motherly advice.

“My mom said the most beautiful thing. I’m going to cry,” she said on Ellen.  ”She said, ‘It took me nine months to fall in love with you were growing in my stomach, [but] it took you two years to fall in love with this little baby.’”

“It really took two years of just waiting and then one day it’s finally there,” Charlize added. “It just feels exactly how it’s supposed to feel. I don’t know how to describe it. It just feels right.”

Charlize Theron was snapped with her adorable baby Jackson Theron on a sunny southern California day on June 11. But something was different — her new buzz cut!

Charlize’s rep confirmed she shaved her head last week for her upcoming film, Mad Max: Fury Road which starts shooting next month in Africa.

The 36-year-old Prometheus star was wearing a striped cardigan by Lynne Hiriak and a gray bowler hat, while little Jackson had the cutest puffball beanie and bright green pants.

Really embracing motherhood, Charlize has said that her biggest surprise about being a mom is “you’re shocked that your heart can feel that much love.”

Charlize Theron raved about her newly adopted son Jackson, as well as her diapering skills, on the Today show with Ann Curry on May 29.

Charlize is famously close with her own mother, Gerda Aletta, so Ann asked Charlize what advice she valued most from her mother.

Charlize answered, “When I reflect back on how my mother raised me, she always … encouraged me to be my own person.”

She explained that despite her mother having strong beliefs and opinions, “none were ever forced down my throat.”  Instead, Charlize was encouraged to “discover [the world] through [her] own eyes.”

“That teaches great independence and confidence,” Charlize said, “when you are encouraged to be yourself and live it in your own skin.  I would hope to have my son feel the same way about himself.”

But Charlize isn’t just in it for the mushy-gushy motherhood… She’s a self-proclaimed diaper-changing pro!

“I can change diapers in my sleep,” bragged Charlize.  On her recent international trip with baby Jackson, she became an expert in Japanese, Spanish, British, and German diapers.  What skill!

With a loving mother like Charlize, baby Jackson is in great hands!

“A lot of people have sent me these children’s books, and there’s this amazing book, a best-seller [called] Go the F— to Sleep. This book was fantastic for me because it made me realize that I don’t need to judge myself right now,”  shared the stunning 35-year-old Snow White and the Huntsman actress in an interview with MTV News.

“The whole book is just basically, ‘Please, go the f— to sleep.’ [Jackson] doesn’t understand anything right now, and so he just wants my face to look a certain way.”

Charlize Theron, who adopted her then 9-day old baby Jackson Theron in March, said her dogs just adore being involved with raising their new family member!

“It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed. From the moment this baby came into our home, those two dogs have never been more in love,” the 36-year-old told Ellen Degeneres on her talk show on May 24. ”People keep saying, ‘Oh you’re a single mom,’ and I’m like, ‘Actually, I’m not. I got two boys helping me out.’ It’s incredible.”

The Snow White and the Huntsman actress cooed about each of her dogs’ new roles! “The pit[bull] woke up with me for every feed, for every change, and whenever the baby would cry the pit would start crying. He’ll do anything for that baby.” As for Berkley, her terrier mutt, he likes to lay with the baby’s pacifier in his mouth.

Also in the interview, Charlize opened up about her long adoption process.
