Isla Fisher stunned in a tiered Oscar de la Renta dress at the France screening of The Great Gatsby on May 15. We spoke with her hairstylist, Giannandrea, who told us exact how he created her voluminous waves and how you can do it at home!

Isla Fisher’s Cannes Hair — Stunning, Soft Waves

“Begin by applying an ample amount of ECRU New York Volumizing Silk Mist throughout wet hair,” Giannandrea tells HollywoodLife.com.

“After drying excess water from the hair, divide the hair into generous sections with a large round brush and mist with Sunlight Styling Spray before curling the hair onto large Velcro rollers. Pin the rollers in place and set for 15 minutes. Next, remove the rollers and use a Mason Pearson brush to amplify the hair’s volume. Draw a small middle part and brush hair into the desired wave position while maintaining maximum volume at the crown for a sexy feel. Using a one inch curling iron, create waves by twisting sections of hair around the rod. Then apply Ecru New York Sunlight Styling Spray to hold and define the waves.”

“Once the entire head has been waved, brush through the hair to bring the style together. Finish the look by smoothing Ecru New York Silk Texturizing Balm throughout the entire length of the hair to bring out the shine and give hair definition. Set the look with hair spray for hold that will last all day and night!”

Isla Fisher sat down with Kelly Ripa and Michel Strahan on May 1 to chat about her role in the highly anticipated film The Great Gatsby. The gorgeous 37-year-old looked half her age as she sported a short, white dress and adorable, soft waves in her hair. The Confessions of a Shopaholic star turned to popular celebrity hair stylist Jen Atkin to style her gorgeous locks for the morning talk show. Similar to what Jen once did to Khloe Kardashian, the hairstylist designed a lovely half updo for the actress’s appearance on the show complete with a cute bow. Jen took to Instagram on May 2 to post a photo collage of the beautiful masterpiece she created in Isla’s hair, specifically focusing on the hair bow.

“#IslaFisher on @KellyandMichael today. Makeup @kateydenno  #TheBowIsBack!,” said Jen’s photo caption.

The hairstylist even added a cute, hair bow emoticon into the photo caption. The bow served as the centerpiece of Isla’s half updo while the rest of her long locks were styled into soft waves. Of course, the accessory was a cute touch to Isla’s look, but was it really necessary?

‘Great Gatsby’ Premiere Beauty — Isla & Carey

Carey’s stunning red dress required little makeup. Her skin glowed with a breathable foundation. Her eyes were accentuated with a thin liner and black mascara. She wore just a hint of dark pink gloss on her lips and filled in her brows with a light brown pencil. Understated and elegant! Her hair was slighty teased in front and pulled into a small bun near the back of her neck.

Isla embodied old Hollywood glamour with her stunning red hair in soft waves. She wore a bright red lip and a sexy cat eyeliner on her eyes. Gorgeous!

On May 1, Isla’s hairstylist Jen Atkin wrote, “So much fun getting #IslaFisher ready 4 the #Gatsby premiere tonite! @kateydenno @JillLincoln#Dolce&GabbanaDress #RedLips#BouncyWaves.”

Carey wore a Lanvin dress, Brian Atwood shoes, and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Isla wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress and shoes, Fred Leighton jewels and a Roger Vivier clutch.

In most comedies, women tend to get cast as the nagging wife or wise-cracking girlfriend, but Bachlorette boasts a perfect all-female ensemble in Isla Fischer, Kirsten Dunst, Lizzy Caplan, and Rebel Wilson to lead this hilarious indie film from start to finish — with plenty of cringe-worthy moments.

If you’ve ever been asked to be part of a bridal party, know how how much pressure it is to make sure the bride has her perfect day. For Rebel Wilson‘s character Becky, that perfect day goes all kind of awry when her bridesmaids Gena and Katie get high on cocaine, drink too much booze, tear her wedding dress in half, try to recruit help at a strip club, while Type-A BFF Regan tries to save the day — again.

Yeah, it’s a littler crazier than Bridesmaids.

We caught up with the film’s cast at the NYC film premiere on Sept. 4 at the Landmark Sunshine Theater, and writer Leslye Headland said the cast is based a lot on her personalities.

“They’re all me,” she said. “I’m definitely Gena (Lizzy) when I wake up in the morning, and then I’m Regan (Kirsten) when I’m working, and then I’m Katie (Isla) when I’m in love, and then I’m Becky when I’m getting a lot of things that are really amazing like this career, and I’m like ‘really, what’s happening, did I deserve any of this?’”

She even admitted that due to the hilarious and professional cast, a lot of the movie is improved!

“Somebody will come up to me and quote the movie and be like ‘this hotel is disgusting,’ and I’m like ‘oh, that’s Kirsten’s improv!’ And I can quote that with you because I’m not an egomaniac.”

Lizzy also raved about her latest film, although she didn’t base her character off of much personal experience.

“I don’t think I’m the person, like the go-to person that people ask to be in their wedding parties,” she joked. “

“I don’t think people peg me to be somebody that would be any sort of useful in those situations.”

But Lizzy also wanted viewers to know that if you’re looking for a replica of Bridesmaids, you’re looking in the wrong place. ”It is completely different than Bridesmaids, but very very funny,” she said.

After the film’s premiere, the cast and crew headed to the after-party sponsored by SVEDKA Vodka at celebrity hot spot The Westway. It featured music by DJ Johnny, and all thanks to The Peggy Siegal Company.

It was a fun night, and despite its cringe-worthy moments, the film has belly laughs the whole way through! We definitely recommend.

It seems like superstar dads were out in force on both coasts this weekend to celebrate Dad’s Day!

Liev Schreiber stepped out in NYC with fiancée Naomi Watts, and sons Sasha, 3½, and Kai, 2½. The adorable family hit the playground for some swing action — and a refresher in the fountain —  before taking a walk around town.

We’re dying to find out what gift Naomi arranged for Sasha and Kai to give their dad for Father’s Day — after Liev made the actress an amazing photo book for Mother’s Day.

Naomi, 42, told People magazine, “He’s really set the bar high [with Mother’s Day] the last few years,” she said.

Family pal Isla Fisher reveals, “Naomi is such a great hands on mum and he had made this entire book of all them together.”

“He bought this incredible iBook and it was just filled with pictures of the boys and their mum,” Isla continued. “I think it made me cry a little bit! He’s an amazing dad. It’s so beautiful.”
