The second season of Project Runway All-Stars will debut this Thursday, Oct. 25, on Lifetime — and what better way to introduce the premiere than with a star-studded evening? Meryl Poster, President of Television atThe Weinstein Co., is hosting the event at Nine West’s flagship store in NYC — and all of the contestants and judges will be in attendance!

While guests will begin to mingle and feast on small bites and cocktails around 8PM, the show will promptly start at 9PM. Isaac Mizrahi himself told us all about the new season when we caught up with him at the launch of his FABULOUS fragrance at Bloomingdale’s in NYC. He said, “This season was so riveting this time. From the minute it started the competition was so fierce, and so was the level of drama… you could cut it with a knife!”

On Oct. 18th the ever-so-fab designer Isaac Mizrahi launched ‘Fabulous,’ his first women’s fragrance, at Bloomingdale’s in NYC. With all the talk about the Presidential election, the designer dished on the style of both Michelle Obama and Ann Romney — and he told us what he thought of the wive’s matching pink outfits!

“I thought it was fabulous, fabulous. You know I love pink right?” Isaac said when we asked him about their color-coordinated looks. As for their style, he gushed about the fashionable First Lady.

“I love Michelle because she wears my clothes, regularly. The thing about Michelle, not only does she have a great personal style, she has her own way of putting things together,” he said — and we couldn’t agree more!

“What I love about her is shes so optimistic. You know, and thats a big part of the word fabulous. I think it tends to be a happy word. I love her for that; she has a happy attitude,” he boasted.

As for Ann, Isaac had one suggestion: “I would love to see Ann Romney in more of my clothes, I’m just going to be bold face and say that,” he joked.

Considering his designs looks so fabulous on the First Lady, we think it’s an excellent piece of advice!

Isaac Mizrahi, 50, is launching a fragrance tie-in for 2012′s Fashion’s Night Out on September 6.  Isaac Mizrahi has designed everything else in your wardrobe, and now he’s now created a scent to with it.

Isaac’s goal was to capture that fantastic feeling  you get when you slip on a fancy evening gown –and bottle it– with this fabulous fragrance.

The interpretation comes in the form of this fruity floral scent. Isaac says “‘Fabulous’ is my opportunity to offer women something to identify with on a whole other emotional level.” The retro spray bottle will make you feel like you’re putting on a bit of timeless luxury.

The fragrance will debut on September 6 for QVC’s Fashion’s Night Out event and in Bloomingdale’s stores.

Now your infant can stroll out in style — Isaac Mizrahi announced that he’s designing a baby clothing line this fall. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the signature collection for newborns and infants is a first in his 30-year career.

The new collection will feature a black and white group of clothes that are meant to be a funny take on sophisticated adult clothing.

The 25-piece infants’ collection will debut in department stores and specialty stores for the most stylish of tots.

If there was an Oscar for Best Wedding Dress of the Year. . . or Century, then Kate’s dress created by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton was a shoe-in! Do you agree?

While some designers and celebrities haven’t been so hard on the former Dior designer, Isaac spoke out about his inexcusable behavior — and said he hopes he doesn’t ever work again!

Right before Paris Fashion Week, designer John Galliano was arrested for alleged assault and racist remarks — at first suspended and then fired from fashion house Dior, everyone went into a frenzy when footage of the designer, drunk and making disgraceful anti-Semitic remarks, surfaced. While some seemed shocked and even sympathetic, designer Isaac Mizrahi thinks his behavior is totally inexcusable.

“Galliano was more of a fetishist to me. He was more of a fetishist than a democrat. And I refer to him in the past tense, because I don’t think he’ll work again. I hope not. I hope he doesn’t work again,” Isaac told The Cut at MCC Theater’s Annual Musical Spectacular Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on Mar. 14.

Isaac went on to admit that while Galliano’s work was always praised, he wasn’t his biggest fan. “I guess I’m the wrong one to talk to, because I never really liked sort of what he did so much. I liked better what McQueen did. I liked better what Vivienne Westwood did,” he said. “So now I don’t like it, and he’s a Jew hater? I was like, buh-bye.”

While Isaac Mizrahi‘s spring 2011 collection was full of black and white, his fall collection was full of color! On the last day of Fashion Week, Models came down the runway in bright dresses — in fact, a girl in a neon-pink strapless was accompanied by a matching pink poodle, all while white-coated waiters offered up chocolate cake covered in mint-green icing.

The collection included gowns in bright orange, mint green, pink, and purple, while there was also some black and grey separates. At the end of the show, Isaac himself came out, running down the catwalk with a black poodle! Check out some of the looks from the show and let us know what you think of the latest collection!

On the last day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Sept. 16, we got to catch up with designer Isaac Mizrahi who told us all about his spring/summer 2011 collection! The designer says he doesn’t although he doesn’t have any rituals, he does rely on junk food to get him through the process!

“I always eat pizza or chocolate and think oh you’re so stressed out you have to do that,” he said while backstage before the show!

After talking to the designer, we wandered around and watched a model prep for the show — while three different people worked on her! Check out what it’s like backstage and see what the designer had to say.
