After a traumatic year of failed IVF attempts and a devastating miscarriage, the TV couple are looking to adoption to make their baby dreams come true.

Although Giuliana Rancic admitted that she and husband Bill “are not actively trying” to conceive a baby, that doesn’t mean they’re not actively trying to adopt one! On Chelsea Lately last night, the Giuliana & Bill stars told Chelsea Handler that they’re looking to adopt an “underprivileged kid” from Giuliana’s hometown of Naples, Italy! Ah, great news!

“That story’s out there,” host Giuliana, 35,told Handler. “We’ve tried everything, we’ve tried IVF, we’ve tried it all, so we’re open to everything,” adding of Naples, “I feel, like, a real connection to where I’m from.”

Last week, Giuliana told USA Today, “[Having a baby is] always in the back of my mind,” but that she and Bill were ready to take a break and “have a year of fun.”

Good for them, we just hope that after a year of heartbreak, a year of fun will lead to their baby dreams coming true!

Women who drink too much coffee are damaging their chances of getting pregnant.

A study carried out on mice proves caffeine slows down the progress of eggs from the ovaries to the womb, making it harder for coffee-fueled women to conceive.

“This provides an intriguing explanation as to why women with high caffeine consumption often take longer to conceive than women who do not consume caffeine,” study leader Professor Sean Ward reveals.

It’s not the first time coffee consumption has been linked to fertility problems; a study of 9,000 women in the Netherlands found those who drank four cups a day or more cut their chances of conceiving by a quarter.

But experts had never found a scientific explanation, until now.

Researchers at the University of Nevada, lead by Professor Ward, found excess caffeine slowed down contractions in the walls of the fallopian tubes, which are needed to carry eggs to the womb.

Doctors hope the study will help them better understand why some women can’t conceive and lift the lid on problems during pregnancy.

Khloe and Lamar Odom have been trying to conceive for the past six months, and they’ve definitely received some odd advice!

Although the baby-making process has been extremely frustrating for Khloe Kardashian, 26, and her hubby Lamar Odom, 31, the couple refuse to resort to drastic measures to conceive. Especially if that measure involves egg whites…

“Someone said that if you use egg whites as a lubricant, it helps the flow of sperm. Who would really do this? Crack an egg on you?” Khloe explains to Us Weekly. “Lamar was all into it. I was like, ‘You’re so gross.’”

Instead of using all these strange techniques, Khloe and Lamar are letting nature take its course — what happens, happens. “We’re not so crazy that we have ovulation calenders — I don’t want to think that hard about it,” Khloe admits. And Lamar agrees,” Having kids is something that we — before anyone else — want to do. It will happen.”

But pressure from her family doesn’t make it any easier on Khloe, especially when it comes from her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, who already has a baby of her own. “Kourtney wants a cousin for Mason so bad. I’m like, ‘Don’t bring Mason into this,’” Khloe says. “Sometimes I feel like I’m letting everyone down.”

Behind their newlywed smiles, Shania and husband Frederic Thiebaud are hiding their painful struggle with infertility.

Now that Shania Twain, 45, has a fresh start with Frederic Thiebaud, 40 — after their spouses, Mutt Lange and Marie-Anne Thiebaud, embarked on a heartbreaking affair together — the country songstress is hoping to have a baby with her new husband. But their baby dreams have been shattered by a hidden battle with infertility. 

The couple, who wed four months ago, have been struggling in vain to conceive a baby, having no luck experimenting with acupuncture, meditation, vitamins and fertility drugs.

“She knows conceiving can be difficult for a woman her age,” a source close to Shania explains to Star Magazine. “She really hoped she wouldn’t have to face infertility.” Shania had originally left her baby dreams behind after she felt stuck in a rocky marriage with ex-husband Mutt, but after she fell in love with Frederic, her hope for a child was renewed.

“But nothing,” the source says of their efforts to conceive. “It’s incredibly frustrating; she’s cried over it more than once.” So now, Frederic is trying to get his new wife to consider different options, like surrogacy or adoption.

“He asked her if she would consider using a surrogate, and she’s open to the idea,” reveals the source. “He’s also been calling around to adoption agencies, figuring out how they should proceed if they decide that’s what they definitely want to do.”

Both Shania and Frederic have 9-year-olds from their previous marriages — Shania’s son, Eja and Frederic’s daughter, Johanna. But the source adds that Shania would love to have a daughter of her own.

“She’s really hoping for a daughter, and she’s even been writing songs about it,” the insider reveals. “But no matter what, she’s just excited about having more children around. She loves being a mom.”

Reality star Khloe Kardashian is opening up about trying to get pregnant with husband Lamar Odom, and our hearts really go out to her! This is such a tough issue to talk about. “Trying to get pregnant is hard,” she says to People. “People don’t seem to realize that you only have three days out of the month to get pregnant. And if you miss those three days, you have to wait for the next month.”

“We feel like we’re young and whatever is meant to happen is meant to happen,” 26-year-old Khloe goes on to say. “Do I want children? Yes. But I’m very happy being just Lamar and I.”

After defying the odds of endometriosis and getting pregnant, Padma is so thankful to have her daughter Krishna.

Top Chef host and model Padma Lakshmi has overcome the shame she felt about her struggle with endometriosis and now supports other women facing the infertility-causing condition. At this weekend’s Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball in New York City, Padma explained why it was important to discuss her battle with fertility issues.

“It’s never easy to talk about your period, but it was such an important subject, and I’m so thankful that I have my daughter, that I couldn’t help but pay it forward and speak out, because I don’t want other women to go through what I went through,” Padma tells Ok! magazine.

“I have so many women friends who didn’t know they have endometriosis until it was too late, and it was such an important cause that I had no choice,” she adds.”I would’ve been morally corrupt if I didn’t put my own ego aside, and open my mouth. That’s really how I feel about it.” Truly inspiring.

But what’s even more amazing is that Padma beat the odds and became pregnant with her now 1-year-old daughter Krishna. “I get surprised every single day,” she says of motherhood. “It’s huge.”

Although many people thought she just didn’t want to gain the baby weight, it turns out Jillian suffers from endometriosis.

Trainer Jillian Michaels, 37, who is currently in the process of adopting a child and becoming a first-time mom, confessed over the weekend that she struggles with infertility. Last year, Jillian said she wouldn’t want to carry a baby herself because she couldn’t “handle doing that to my body.” And although that comment stirred up a lot of controversy, Jillian explains that it was not about putting on weight, but was addressing the fact that she has endometriosis. Sad news.

“I most likely couldn’t get pregnant,” she tells The New York Times. “I’ve had the X-rays, my tubes are closed, the uterine lining is too thick, blah, blah, blah.”

“I was ashamed about it because I thought I’m supposed to be the healthiest woman in the world, and what does this say about me if I can’t have kids of my own,” she says. “It was insecurity, which I have to work on.”

A friend of the Biggest Loser star says it took a lot of strength for Jillian to confess her fertility issue. “Jillian would much rather have kept her private life private,” a friend tells PopEater‘s Rob Shuter. “She thought the nasty comments would stop, but once it became clear that they wouldn’t, she felt the need to address it head-on.”

There are so many women out there who battle infertility, including celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Khloe Kardashian, and the source says that if Jillian “can make just one woman struggling to conceive right now feel better about herself then it was all worth it.”

We hope Jillian gets the family she dreams of, as well as other women struggling with similar fertility problems.

Martha Stewart‘s only child, daughter Alexis Stewart, 45, publicly struggled for so many years to conceive a baby through IVF before turning to surrogacy, like Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Kidman. “Having my own kid is the most important thing in my life,” she said at the time.  And finally, on March 7th, a surrogate gave birth to Alexis’s new baby daughter, Jude! Now Alexis has shared the first photos of her new infant!

And in a clue that the surrogate was implanted with Alexis’s actual egg, Martha said on her show, “she’s cute and she has Lexie’s pouty little mouth. Very, very lovely child.” Now Martha has an heir to her empire! Congratulations to all of you!
