Carly Shay’s (Miranda Cosgrove) days have sadly come to an end as iCarly’s series finale episode “iGoodbye” aired on Friday Nov. 23.

The final episode of iCarly was the perfect blend of sweet goodbyes and ridiculous comedy that made the show such a hit for the last five years.

In the series’ swan song, Carly revealed that her father, who was been in the military for the entirety of the series, wasn’t able to return for a father-daughter dance. In a shocking twist, he made it back, but had to return to Italy that very same night. That’s when he got the idea of having Carly join him, so the family reunion turned into a goodbye party as Carly left to live with her dad while her friends stayed behind. So sad.

“Watched iGoodbye with the cast tonight. Just wanted to say thanks to all of them and [executive producer Dan Schneider] for all the great memories :)” Miranda tweeted on Nov. 24.

In May 2012, Dan told TVGuide.com, “Everyone at iCarly has been like family to me for five years. When we film our very last scene, there will be a lot of crying, I know. But I also know that in television, you don’t want to over-stay your welcome. I want to go out the way we are — on a creative high-note.”

We definitely felt the sadness during the Nov. 23 series finale. Did you?

One Direction made its acting debut tonight on Nickelodeon’s hit show, iCarly — and even though they played themselves, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan all did a phenomenal job.

Titled “iGo One Direction,” the episode was simple enough, but we couldn’t believe how fast the time flew by. In case you didn’t watch, here’s what happened:

Carly comes back from a trip with jungle worms, only to find out One Direction has agreed to perform on her show. The only problem is, Harry drinks from Carly’s water and contracts her illness, which leads to her taking care of him. He loves the attention so much, he exaggerates his sickness and, of course, all his bandmates catch on to his act. They elect Gibby as Harry’s replacement, which doesn’t sit well with him at all, so he quickly gets over his “illness” and rejoins the group.

All of that is pretty funny, but our favorite moment has to be at the end when Sam practically attacks Zayn and drags him into the elevator with her — and he doesn’t look too disappointed to be there…that’s for sure!

In addition to their funny asides and plot line, the boys also sang their hit single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” (making everyone watching swoon)!

Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and the rest of the guys will play themselves on a special One Direction-themed episode of iCarly that will air on April 7 on Nickelodeon. These cuties have so much personality, I’m positive that if they want to turn this opportunity into a second career, they have what it takes to make it happen!

In the episode, called “iGo One Direction,” Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) returns from a trip to find out that One Direction will perform on her web show — but then she accidentally passes a nasty case of the  jungle worms to Harry Styles, and gets him really sick! Harry loves the attention he gets from Carly while she nurses him back to health, and “takes it too far,” Miranda told J-14 magazine.

I can’t wait to watch the boys flex their acting muscles!

These guys have snagged SO many amazing opportunities recently — from getting their first headlining show at Madison Square Garden, to their KILLER performance at the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards. This boy band’s star is on the rise, and it’s all up for them from here. Michelle Obama even invited them to the White House! The group eventually had to turn down that invitation, but they did so graciously — and that’s why One Direction is here to stay.

But the best thing about One Direction is that their super-fast rise to fame hasn’t changed them. They are SO kind to their fans, and extremely appreciative of every opportunity they’re given. Their Nickelodeon co-star Miranda even vouched for that, saying they were great on set!

“Harry did a great job and I had a lot of fun working with him,” she told  J-14.” Acting came to them very easily — they have great comedic timing!”

One Direction is super-talented AND down-to-earth, which is why they’ll be around for a long time — and this probably won’t be the last time we see them on scripted TV! Watch this preview from their iCarly episode, courtesy of J-14.

Oh, no! Carly accidentally gives Harry Styles ‘jungle worms’ on a special One Direction-themed episode of ‘iCarly.’ Watch a preview!

The British invasion is set to take over iCarly this week and judging from this clip, we’re in for a treat.

In the episode, Carly gets jungle worms from a recent trip and accidentally passes them on to Harry Styles. Harry grows to love all the attention he’s getting from Carly, so he draws out his illness until the rest of One Direction devises a plot to get him back…

Michelle Obama is continuing her efforts to help military families in an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The First Lady will head to Fayatteville, North Carolina, July 21 to help build a community resource center for homeless female military vets.
The resource center will include a new greenhouse and a children’s play area. Not every First Lady would be spotted doing manual labor in the middle of a steamy North Carolina summer, but Michelle seems to have no qualms about it!

This won’t be the first time Mrs. Obama has appeared on a TV show. Michelle has been featured on Sesame Street to promote healthy eating and will appear on an episode of iCarly next season to promote the support of military families. We love seeing the First Lady connecting with people of all ages to promote her causes!

Michelle’s episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is set to air in October.

Michelle Obama to be a TV star? Well, for a day at least! The First Lady made her way to the set of iCarly to be a special guest on an upcoming episode of the beloved Nick show. And there’s video to prove it!

Michelle reportedly shot the scene on Monday, June 13, which helps to promote a cause she’s very supportive of, Joining Forces, a program dedicated to helping and honoring U.S. military families.

The episode will air in January and revolves around Carly (Miranda Cosgrove), who breaks some rules while attempting to set up a video chat with her dad, who is serving in the military. The First Lady, playing herself, hears about Carly’s attempts and drops in to talk about how important it is for families and soldiers overseas to connect.

The First Lady is going to appear in an upcoming episode of iCarly–and it was a surprise to Noah! Could Brad Pitt be the next celeb to join the cast?

First Lady Michelle Obama, 47, is guest-starring in a future episode of the hit TV show iCarly–how cool is that! HollyBaby.com caught up with iCarly cast member Noah Munck, 15, during the Super 8 premiere in LA for an exclusive interview on his reaction to having Mrs. Obama join the cast.

“I’m very excited to have her on the show! To be on the same episode as me is an honor, its crazy!” Noah said.

Noah was as shocked as us when he heard the news! “Oh, it was a big surprise!” he said.

So, who’s next on Noah’s wish list to join the cast? None other than Brad Pitt! “He said he watches it with the kids, and I’m like ‘Wow, you’re Brad Pitt!’ So that was cool!” Noah Said.

The show is expected to air sometime in January.

Miranda Cosgrove tells HollywoodLife.com she wants to get away and “do the whole college thing” — but she’s still undecided where she wants to end up!

HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively with the intelligent and beautiful Miranda Cosgrove at the premiere of the iParty with Victorious Nickelodeon special June 4 where she discussed her acceptance to NYU and USC, boys and how she stays so fit!

HL: You decided to defer college for a year to finish iCarly, but were accepted to both NYU and USC. How will you decide between the two?!
Miranda: It’s going to be hard. I love LA because I’m from here but I love New York so I kind of want to get away and do the whole college thing. It’s still up in the air, I’m having a little trouble deciding but I still have a few months to figure it out.

HL: What do you look for in a boy?
Miranda: Honestly, someone who’s just easy to talk to. I think everybody has that thing when you’re talking to someone and you click and laugh at the same things and understand each other so, just somebody you want to get along with really well.

HL: Everyone at HollywoodLife.com wants to know how you stay so fit. Is there a certain diet or exercise you follow?
Miranda: I try to do things that aren’t real exercise. I like to go bike riding. I actually just started a kickboxing class and that is real exercise. I do it with a friends and that’s very fun.
